DISmoms 4 - The Hunt for Jack Sparrow

Yippee for the NYE cruise.

Rosie are you doing the parks before the cruise or just the cruise??

By the way, that was the "A" team.... I've seen the "B" team and it's not pretty. Literally.

No just the Cruise !!I am sure I will do Disney later in the year like October for the 4th year in a row!! Then I am also going in December with the Grannies!!This promises to be quite the trip an Ex Nun and a Pole Dancer !!!:rotfl2::rotfl2:

The next thing on our list of Must-Dos was a little spa time for Cammie, Joanie & I- we all got the same treatment, which was a massage combo deal- I'd ask Cammie or Joan to chime in, but we know how THAT has gone so far in the TR- apparently they both have broken hands, and can't use a computer keyboard! TRAGIC! :rolleyes2 Anyway- it was a special that was offered once we boarded to be done while in port, and we had booked it the day before. The spa, of course, was gorgeous. This was all in the locker room-

The shower we used quite often-
595.jpg

(That was how we managed 4 adult women in one cabin). I have to say, using all those lovely Elemis products every night NEVER got old!

596.jpg

598.jpg

The Rainforest was additional (even to a spa treatment) and we did not partake on this trip- but I will be going in there either in May or on the Fantasy, because i really love me some rainforest time! Even the lighting was so serene in the Spa-

599.jpg

I don't know why that water tastes so good, but it does!

600.jpg

We waited for our treatments to begin-

601.jpg

And filled out forms-

602.jpg

Cammie & I lucked out and had a treatment room with a view-

603.jpg

605.jpg

Not that I looked out the window a whole bunch while i was experiencing my massage!

607.jpg

Of course, I thoroughly enjoyed myself in there, and I will be doing this mystery treatment again when I sail next year- a Spa Sampler? Was that it? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Anyone? :rolleyes1

Kara had no doubt thrown back a dozen or so tequilas by now, so Joanie and I made a beeline to go rescue the surely overworked bartenders from her escapades.

683.jpg

Time for a little lunch and Joanie's first International adventure! Next!!

Next we peeked into-

564.jpg

Where the comedian (what was his name again? I don't have any of the Navigators, so I'm not sure- was it something like Jon Charles?) was very entertaining.

Ron Pearson

After that, it was back to the cabin- where Joanie did her best Titanic impressions, and we met the neighbors-

click to play-

O..MY...GOD....(and you wonder why I don't post) :rotfl:

The next morning, we were docking in Nassau, and we were bright and bushytailed after 10 or 20 minutes of non-snoring related sleep- well, some of us were...:rolleyes1

568.jpg

:grouphug:Miss you guys!

Time for a little lunch and Joanie's first International adventure! Next!! Yay!

See, Ellen, hands not broken, just so thoroughly enjoying the banter of my two favorite veggies!!!

Great update! The spa looked wonderful! I can't say how tight the seating is in EG, we were lucky enough to get one of the cool booths last year!

Have a great trip in Hawaii!

I have heard of people using the showers there...So are they easy to find? Obviously you don't have to pay to use....and now I know where to go if I run out of razors!! :rotfl:

Kara....I am going to be with your first love in just under 6 weeks. I booked the Magic out of Galveston for Sept 22. I can't wait to see her and all she has to offer! :dance3:

Have lots of fun on your trip. I told my DH it's either Hawaii or the Grand Floridian for our 50th anniversary!:goodvibes

That's only 4 years from today!:cool1:

Hooray for NYE 2013/14! The spa looks beautiful - I think I will add a treatment to my Christmas wish list for that year.

Ellen - Have a great trip! I can't wait to hear about it.

Kara - I hope you and Ally had a nice trip back to SC. It was great meeting up with you for lunch - even though we we had to talk in code about the NYE cruise :).

Hmm spa treatment or drinking that's gonna be a hard decision in may can they just put a straw with my drink under the massage table lol.

She just sold the most expensive cruise they've got! Of COURSE Broccoli is smiling!!!

......but is soooo much fun to read you & your gang'sr trip reports!:goodvibes

Those booths looked great! Because let me just say that by the end of 4 days it was REALLY tight getting in and out of our table..... :rolleyes1

Oooohhhhh! So jealous! I'm so worried I"ll never have another chance with her, what with the new schedules, etc.

Have lots of fun on your trip. I told my DH it's either Hawaii or the Grand Floridian for our 50th anniversary!:goodvibes

That's only 4 years from today!:cool1:

And in 4 years I turn the Big 5-0 so I'm trying to figure out something big for that year, too!

Hooray for NYE 2013/14! The spa looks beautiful - I think I will add a treatment to my Christmas wish list for that year.

Jeff and I will for sure be booking spa treatments for NYE!!!! Well, at least sometime on that cruise! After the massages last time, Jeff and I are hooked on starting vacation that way!

Loved meeting your for lunch! Only another 501 days!!!

Hmm spa treatment or drinking that's gonna be a hard decision in may can they just put a straw with my drink under the massage table lol.

I don't do massages for the DISmoms cruise - I always tell Jeff I will "try" to keep it in check, so I save those for when we cruise together.... Darn!

So happy your hands are ok, Joanie!! I'd be so sad if you couldn't drive me to the airport on Friday!! :drive:

And I really, really miss your comments (and Cammie's) on here-

The showers are in the locker room- you have to go past the spa desk, but you would do that anyway to work out in the gym-not a big deal at all-:)

Have lots of fun on your trip. I told my DH it's either Hawaii or the Grand Floridian for our 50th anniversary!:goodvibes

Personally I would pick Hawaii over the GF, but that's just MHO....:)

T.T.F.N.

Hi! I didn't see the wedding on Kelly (I don't usually watch, I turned it on yesterday and today to see-). We arrive at Aulani on Tuesday night- going to Kauai for 4 nights first.
And I don't know if I'll be kissin any monkeys or not- but I don't think Hawaii is known for its monkeys......

Once we had scooped Kara up off the bar floor, it was time to go find something for lunch. We decided to have some of the offerings around the pool area, since- who doesn't love little sammies? This is what was offered that day at Flo's Cafe/Luigi's Pizza, etc-

613.jpg

614.jpg

615.jpg

616.jpg

617.jpg

I chose this-

618.jpg

Someone else had-

619.jpg

Joanie was VERY well behaved-

620.jpg

And finally-

622.jpg

621.jpg

Some little desserts from Cove Cafe-

624.jpg

625.jpg

And we were good to go! Go off the ship to Nassau, that is. Well, Kara, Joanie & I- Cammie preferred to stay onboard.

We thought we would go and pick up a shirt for our hubbies at Senor Frogs, right at the port. Other than that, we really had no other plans, and kind of wanted to just hang on the Dream anyway since we only had 4 days to enjoy every inch of her!! We did like seeing the Magic next to her in port, of course-

004.jpg

007.jpg

008.jpg

009.jpg

The traitor and her first love-

010.jpg

011.jpg

It's kind of shocking to see how much larger the Dream is than the Magic when they are ported together. Anyway.....on to Nassau!

014.jpg

Once we got through that little marketplace, well...there was not a whole lot going on. Some hairbraiding, a few taxis- but, it really was kind of quiet. Do they shut down the city at lunch each day? Was it some kind of holiday? I was completely confused- where WAS everyone?

019.jpg

We walked over to Senor Frogs, took some cute pics swapping cameras with someone (not mine- hopefully Kara's!) and bought some shirts- although, truthfully, the shop had a limited selection compared to other Senor Frogs I have seen- and then went to have a cocktail at the bar there- except...it was closed! :confused3 It was maybe 1:00 or later- we really were completely baffled! So....we turned around, and headed back for the ship-

020.jpg

021.jpg

We did all get Christmas Ornaments in the market, tho, before walking back-and as we neared the ship, saw a new Mr & Mrs-

022.jpg

So....that was the strangest, lamest port experience ever!! I know we didn't really DO anything- I have been to the Bahamas before, to Atlantis and to Sandals, I have even been to swim with the dolphins in the Blue Lagoon, and I think- that's
enough for me. Next year, i'll stay on the ship- which will be just fine!

WOOHOOO!!!! :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:Just booked 4 nights on the Dream March 24th for Timmy & I- our last Spring break! It could change, but for now.....WOOHOOOO!!!!!!!! I'm gonna have Kara's girl crush all to myself! LOL!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I tried to get Timmy to do a 7 night cruise out of Bayonne on the Explorer again- but he wouldn't go back on that ship without other people- he said he would be bored. But on DCL? No problem!:banana::banana:
