The Force is Strong in This One: SWW and Celebration VI, Disney Done Differently

Great update, can't wait for Celebration VI!:banana:

I'm glad Anakin was able to attend the Padawan Mind Challenge, sounds like something he really wanted to do! :thumbsup2 That's too funny that he intentionally answered wrong so he could stand by C3PO! :rotfl2: Sounds like something I would have done as a kid, except I would've answered wrong to avoid more attention probably (I was very shy! What happened???) Also glad any stairs crisis was averted by the elevator lift. How is he with stairs now?

Such great pictures of him up on stage with all the other kiddos. :goodvibes Love seeing that huge smile on his cute little face. ::yes::

Hate that he had seizures that night, maybe too much stimulation? Poor little guy, glad you were able to get it under control. Does he usually sleep right through them?

Thank you for sharing your families memories, Michelle. :goodvibes

How wonderful!! Loved seeing his interaction with the characters and his face so lit up!! Ashley was exactly at the right place at the right time!! What an awesome CM. :goodvibes:

I will look forward to your 2013 SWW experiences!! Thank you so much for sharing your pictures and Anakins story!! I also thank you for some insight on ideas for my grandson.:thumbsup2

Thanks for following along and posting, I really appreciate it. I'm glad I was able to offer you and your grandson some insight. I hope you have an awesome time at SSW 2013 and maybe we'll see each other there.

Meredith, thanks for taking the time and reading both TRs and posting!

Today he went down 3 steps in Fantasyland to the new splash area. It was very slow going, but he did it! He is back to step-step on each stair. Once he is able to do that better, we'll go back to one foot on each step as he goes down. Going up stairs, he does great! Thanks for asking.

Thanks! And thanks for following along, Camille.

It's hard to tell what caused it. Could have been an infection brewing. He ended up with strep throat a couple days after SWW.

Most of his seizures are in his sleep. He rarely wakes up and has no idea they have happened. He has only had a handful of seizure where he was aware of what was going on.

I love the part where he missed a question so he could go back with CP3O. He is such a cutie pie! Glad he is doing well after his last seizures.

I'm guessing CP3O is a favorite and he wanted to be with him...how very sweet.

What an absolutely marvelous trip.

He loved C3PO! Thanks for following along on another of my TRs! Hope to see you and Mark again, sometime!

I really enjoyed your latest updates! When Anakin smiles... you can just see how happy a time it is.

The show with James Arnold Taylor sounds like it was amazing. Your description about had me in tears!

Some of the characters look fun and inviting, but some look just down right frightening! Like... Aurra Sing! OH MY

I am sorry that Anakin had such a bad night with the seizures. That can't be fun for any of you. How is he doing now? I Know he had that long break from them... is it looking like he will get another one?

Thank you! Yes, that show is very touching at the end.

Thanks for following along and posting, I appreciate it!

I hate seizures! They are scary. Back in 2010 he had a seizure where he stopped breathing and dh had to administer CPR on him while we waited for an ambulance to arrive. The ER doc had us discharged within an hour of arriving there and sent us home without any type of medication saying it will probably never happen again, but to make an appointment with a neurologist for follow up. The only pediatric neurologist in our town couldn't see him for a month. He had another seizure that night, and my neurologist saw him and started medication right away. It was a crazy scary start.

Now he's seeing a pediatric epileptologist in another town. We are starting to get some control over the seizures now. He has breakthrough seizures every now and then. But for the first time in two years we are actually getting sleep at night! I think we've found the right fit of doctor and medication for him!

Anakin is so cute. Missing questions to go back with C3PO.

The seizures would scare me totally. My nephew used to suffer from petite malls seizures and they are not really that bad but they were still alarming. I was told by a pediatrician that males are more predominant to have the seizures but my aunt has them. I have always watched my kids for signs of them but we have been blessed.

I'm sorry for your aunt and nephew. I wish nobody would have to suffer from them! Glad your children haven't shown any signs.

Thanks so much for following along and posting on both TRs. I wonder if you are the only one who has been following both WDW TRs but hasn't ever been to WDW? I hope you get to WDW some day!

There is talk on the back burner about us heading out to CA to see Carsland if Anakin can handle the flight to my parents, as a test run. Though Grumpy is begging to do a cruise.

Great update on the mind challenge. Love that such a smart kid would miss a question to be near his favorite! Shows just how smart he is!!! Saw you are not too far away from Celebration.......cant wait to hear all about that adventure. Carsland would be fabulous! Have a great day

Please tell Anakin we are all jealous of all of his character interaction. Lived an hour away for three years and I never got to meet Jedi Mickey.:sad2:

Too cute that he would rather miss a question and get to see C3PO than be right.

I can't imagine what you go through with the seizures. Glad he went may days without them.

Hope to catch ya at Celebrations! Not long now.:goodvibes

I have really enjoyed your trip reports!! I feel like I have found a friend when I found your trip report!!

If you guys are interested in seeing some Cars Land photos and such I can link you to a couple of trip reports with some great photos. I vote for the trip to California!! But, if I were Grumpy I might want to go on the cruise too! I hope that Anakin does well on the flight it will make your trip to see your parents so much more enjoyable.

Thanks! Thanks for following along and posting too. Our adventures will continue on the other TR. Yesterday we checked out the new splash area at the MK, headed over to AoA for a snack and took pics of the Lion King section. It's nice to live close by!

2013 we plan to visit the parents so I have plenty of time to plan Carsland for 2014.

You have a great day too!

That's too bad that you never caught Jedi Mickey. This was the first year we got almost all the characters. The jawas were the only ones I am aware of that we missed.

Hope to see you at Celebrations! Sending you a PM.

The cruise is only a hop, skip, and a jump away. But dh gets so sea sick that DLR might prevail!

A new splash area? <<Excited, shocked face. I either forgot they were making one or don't remember. Oh to be young again and get to enjoy it.

Glad he is doing decently with the stairs, glad he can go up well! :thumbsup2

Wow, that is a :scared1::scared1::scared1: terrifying start, so sorry to hear it started that way.  Glad you have a doctor now and it is a bit more under control, I hope Goofy never has to do CPR again! EVER! :scared1:

Ooh, I'd love to live vicariously through your trip report and see Carsland! :goodvibes:goodvibes I avoid all the new Fantasyland pictures and videos because I don't want to be spoiled, but I've watched a ton of Carsland since I don't think I will ever go there, or it will be in the far distant future. I went to Disneyland once when I was somewhere around 10, sadly I don't remember it too much. :( But I like what I remember, except Pirates of the Carribbean. I can't handle many rides and had no idea there were two bigger drops! :scared1::scared1: Almost lost my french fries!

Scotty gets seasick too so there is not going to happen for us. :(

I hope you post about "Celebration" when you go.

What an exciting day you had but an incredible day for Anakin.

So many characters and that CM seemed so nice.

The seizures sound scary but glad he did go so long without one and you were able to go to Epcot the next day.

Great report and pics.

Thanks for following along and joining in! And thanks for the nice comments.

I'm sure I will post somewhere about celebration,, either a new TR or on my perpetual TR. I was at the MK Monday and have pictures of the new splash area, also pics of the new Lion King section at AoA, and pics from the Cars section from a few weeks ago left to post on my perpetual TR. Feel free to check that out. I am really bad at keeping up the index there, but the most recent things are linked.
