So all that is left is to be loaded into the DVC system. It is funny that Fidelity says that could take 2 weeks and title company says 3-5 days. I guess I will find out.

Thanks! Looks like roughly two months start to finish, depending on how long it takes Disney to add the points. I appreciate you providing this info!

We're still in the process of buying, but we pretty much had the same timeline you did through ROFR ... (took about 4 weeks to get to that point)

But - we received our closing docs from Magic Vacation Title the day after we passed ROFR - so many kudos to Nancy and ***!!!

Right now we're waiting for the Seller to get their docs back to *** so we can close ...

Thanks for this timeline. I made an offer last thursday and I'm waiting for the contract still. I really want to get things moving!

Wow that was fast! Hopefully the sellers are fast and you can close! I felt such relief once the sellers returned the paperwork because I was so afraid of them backing out or disappearing like I have heard from another dis board member. Good luck!

Oh I know the feeling, I kind of got used to the long process but it going to be so worth it in the end.

No problem, I have a lot of time on my hands waiting for it to end! Haha

Wow you are lucky! I can't seem to get the contracts from sellers returned fast enough. I believe I'm looking at 2 and a half months or longer on one of mine. Supposedly it's an older couple with no internet or phone. LOL I think maybe I'm too patient:)

In general, I'm a pretty patient person... NOT when it comes to this process though. :) As a buyer who is constantly near my phone or my email, it seems like an eternity between every step. Obviously, the sellers (unless they're in financial turmoil) probably aren't in as much of a hurry to respond.

Fortunately, in the deal I'm working right now I seem to have pretty responsive sellers - just waiting on Disney at this point. :hourglass If you're gonna snag my deal, just let me know so i can dig around for another one!

Fortunately, I've got some time... our next planned trip will be November 2013 - I'm just trying to close before December of this year to take advantage of the 11-month advance booking. Although, with today being the first day of August it doesn't seem so far away anymore... :crazy2:

Actually if you look at my timeline our sellers weren't that quick either. It took them over a week to get each document back. Hopefully you will hear good news today! My first contract the seller had no email so everything had to go snail mail. That one ended in an ROFR death. :rotfl2:

Good Luck with ROFR! My first deal i lost to Disney and was notified I think like 11 days after submission so once I got to the 2 week mark I was feeling good.

I'll throw my timeline into the mix. We bought an 80-point BLT contract (June UY). I used Sharon from Fidelity and Cammy from First American Title:

Offer accepted June 16
Signed contracts, sent to ROFR June 19
Passed ROFR July 17
Received closing docs July 27
Title company has signed closing docs July 31
Contract closed August 1
Notice of deed on OC comptroller site August 2

My first contract (BWV, bought back in March) took 11 weeks start to finish, so this contract has gone much quicker. Now I just wait to see when the new points are added to my online account. :goodvibes

I updated my timeline, i gave Disney a call just to see, wasnt expecting anything since it has only been 6 days since closing. Everything was set up even the points were loaded!!! Spoke to Kevin he was wonderful!!

Yay!!:dance3:

Ugh! Same timeline as you but no closing yet! I just sent an email to The title company. Hopefully she will let us know what is (or not) going on!

Congrats to you! :cool1:

Very similar timeline here too. The title co had MY documents back on Tuesday. I just sent an email asking about the sellers documents. (After searching my name on the OC Comptrollers site.)

Nice!! Hopefully you will see your points quickly :cheer2:

I just heard back from Cammy. She said she has not received the paperwork from the sellers yet!:rolleyes2

That's totally normal, and exactly how my BWV contract went. I returned my closing docs/check the next day and the sellers returned it the following week. I had no idea the sellers of my current BLT purchase were so motivated, they overnighted their closing docs right back too! It's luck of the draw.
