someone asked this on a FB group I'm part of and love hearing the answers...

So- what is your favorite souvenir you have brought back from a Disney trip??

I bring home a coffee mug each trip. Each morning I get to have a little Disney magic when I start the coffee! I also get key chains, my husband gets o mad because you can't even see the keys anymore! :thumbsup2

I love my christmas ornament brings a smile everytime I put it on the tree, and next year planning on doing the silohettes(sp)

Pictures!

Secondly, each visit we purchase a Christmas Tree ornament featuring what my DD is most interested in at the time. Last year my 2yo was all about Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. It may be the same characters this year. She still loves her MMC!

Picture frames. I love picking my favorite photo(s) from the trip and putting it into a Disney frame.

Several years ago I bought die cast cars and a playset based on some of the attractions in the parks so they could reenact being at the Magic Kingdom. So cool. They don't sell many things like that anymore. Sure, they have the overpriced Castle, Spaceship Earth, Sorcerer's hat and Monorail playsets but aside from the Monorail, they aren't that impressive. Now we mostly bring back shirts and ornaments which are fine but I miss the affordable toys that allowed you to relive your vacation at home.

I think the silhouettes are the best! Plus, you get two copies when they do it, so it becomes a gift for my parents also!

I agree totally!!! We usually get ours from the MK. There are 2 spots. One off Main Street, in the 'alley' down from the Bake Shop. The other spot is in Liberty Square, by where Tiana is, next to the Christmas shop.

It is SOOO quick, they can do any age (even a squirmy 16 mth old!). I LOVE them as Christmas presents, and I think they are reasonable $ too. I think for 2 prints with frames it is around $25.

It is something I have to get everytime now! Next time I'll do both girls at once!

Oh, and as of last time - they do NOT take the KTW card - you have to either have cash or a CC. (They are not Disney so they can't take the KTW card). I learned that the hard way the 1st time! They will also hold the bag for you at the stand until you are ready to leave the park.

Me too! Every morning is a little better when I'm drinking out of my Disney mug. It just gives me a little extra happiness. :goodvibes

love reading all the replies!

We always buy an ornament + frame from every vacation (Disney or other).

next trip I plan to do "pick a pearl" in japan - let the boys pick them, and then i'll have them set into something for me.

I love the sillouette idea! I have made them in the past with nieces/nephews for the grandparents and we do need to get them done of our kids- i've been lazy... maybe that will be a fun thing to do there- so much easier for me :) lol

Lots of great ideas for future souvenirs here! Some of my favorites are park music cds, plastic popcorn containers and I cherish my refillable mugs from back in the day when they were "resort specific"

My purple "Disney Bear". It is Duffy before he was called Duffy. Paid 20.00 for it somewhere around 2003. I sold it for $1,500.00 last year on Ebay. :cool1:

Other than that I have bought cells, prints, ect. My favorite things have been my Disney people for the back of my van though!

Well, for myself, hands down this:

Purchased on a date night two years ago on Main Street after a beautiful dinner at Narcoossee's. It was a lot of money (for me anyways) but my DH insisted! And I'm so glad he did - I'm taken back to that moment, that dinner, that trip, each time I look down and see it :lovestruc

And I also REALLY love the framed silhouette's we got done of our three kids, also on Main Street. Captures them perfectly at 6, 4, and 2. And again, everytime I pass by them on the wall, I'm taken back... :teleport:
