The latest cutback: it's no long body butter, just "lotion", and it's watery and doesn't work well at all. Has anyone else noticed this yet?

We just sailed on the Magic from NYC last weekend. They still provide the small tubes of shampoo & conditioner and I'm not sure if they changed since I rarely use them but I always look forward to the body butter on a cruise.

Really, how much could it add to the cost of a cruise when they buy it in bulk?

Oh no! Guess I know what to put in our FE bags! Really, nicer toiletries is a big perk in us loving our time...esp. The body butter when you get burned on sunny days..maybe they just ran short?

This is horrible news. I was always able to pack lighter because I knew I could count on the good H2O products provided in the rooms. Very disappointing.

AGH! This is terrible!

I never pack body lotion b/c that body butter is so awesome! Good grief...what's going to be the next 'little piece of magic' to go??? I'm still mourning the loss of Ken's honey mustard for the chicken tenders...and now this!

This is very disappointing !

I really really love the body butter they provide. Hope it's just that they run out of it temporary. It's a shame if they cut back on that. These are the little things I like about cruising on DCL.

Could it be that someone messed up on the ordering and ordered the lotion instead of the body butter? Or the wrong thing was sent to Disney? Or a temporary supply issue? I hope this is the case

Well, don't hold your breath. I'm still irritated by the substitution of that horrible "nutrasweet yellow" for Splenda. I bring my own box along now....DCL must need the $4 per week that I spend in advance for the good stuff.

So now body butter. Guess the more we haul, the less they buy.

Same on the Wonder... Yes it is still H2O.. The packaging is a bit different on the Shampoo and Conditioner, but they are the same. Yes.. Now it is also Spa Body Lotion vs Spa Body Butter.

We may be the only ones that like the lotion. :confused3

Is it the same H2O lotion you get at WDW resorts?

They had already gone to the smaller containers for all of the bath products. The H2O prices are the same for the lotion versus the body butter, so it's not like they are saving money. The balm is about half the price of the body butter, however.

My mom prefers the lotion over the butter, so you are not alone.

I also noticed the change on the Fantasy 3 weeks ago. We liked the new "lotion" more than the "butter". Not as greasy, still seemed to work good. Not a fan of the smaller size though.

Does anyone know if I can buy larger bottles on the Fantasy? We go in Sept, and I have recently discovered that the Body Butter helps keep my eczema away. (Well that and the buriti butter...I've tried so many, so when I find that one lotion, I kinda tend to hang on to it for a while ).

I never liked the body butter anyhow; I tend not to like butters and lotions.

But I do miss when they used to give out the shower gels. Sometimes I've been able to have the room hostess get a tube for me. Love that stuff.

Ran across the same size tube of body butter at my local Ulta and was shocked at the price...$7.00. It didn't make my shopping bag...

If you can't wait until September (or you just don't want to lug one more thing home in your suitcase :)), you can order it directly from H2O Plus:

I've gotten it on sale from them (with free shipping) several times.
