Official March 2013 thread

Wohoo!!! Finally able to book our pacakge today :cool1: March 9-16 AOA. We usually stay at POR but we just have to check out this resort just once esp while the kiddos are still young enough to really appreciate it ;)

We are planning on a couple days at the park's then driving down to Miami for a 5 night cruise on the wonder. Think the dates are 8-10 for WDW then 11 - 16 for the cruise.

We are doing the same thing!! We'll be in Disney March 6th,7th 1/2 day on the 8th and the 10th then driving down to Miami to get on the Wonder on the 11th!

We plan on going down March 6th-10th, but only doing 3 park days. We will then drive down to Miami for a Disney Cruise the 11th-16th.

We will be staying at POP for 2 night then checking into a condo with my parents when they fly down on the 8th.

March 8-16.........AoA or POR!! Ready now!!

LOL, We are EXACTLY the same...Same dates and torn between AOA LM rooms and POR Royal Rooms. We are currently booked room only in AOA but with the price release, it is not that much more for the POR and there is always that possibility for FD there!!!

I went ahead and pulled the trigger (actually swiped the credit card!!) on POR......I justified it to myself by not renting a vehicle this trip - - it will be my first time using the ME. Our first stay was at ASMo - - I like the moderate resorts better and one day I'll stay at a deluxe but at this point in time I can't justify the extra $$$ to do so.

I have NO IDEA the exact dates ill be there or where im staying. All I know is I turn 21 on March 10th...and I want to be in Disney when this happens! I just alerted my mother, and told her the plan, and she's on board. Mother/daughter trip here I come!

It'll be the first time staying on property and although i'll only be able to afford value...its better than sitting at home!

Im worried about crowds, as im usually in WDW in January. However, I will be down this year the week after christmas, so I guess these crowds will be light in comparison!

Im so stoked to go!

my boyfriend and i are going on march 9-17. i am excited because it will be our first disney trip together. i am in the beginning stages of planning but i am tend to overplan so he will hear of nothing else for the next several months. :rotfl: he loves disney world but he might be sick of it before we get there.

Sounds exciting!

I told my boyfriend that my mom said I could go down for my birthday. (just her and I) and he said "What if I wanted to be there for your birthday!?"
I was caught so off guard because he doesn't sound too thrilled about the trip I'm planning for us next September/October (first vacation together!)
SO now I need to figure more stuff out because he only gets two weeks vacation and (says) he doesn't want to spend it all in Disney!

I might wait to book until much later to see if I can get an AP discount! (we have APs and would be driving down, so all I really need to do is make ADRs which can easily be canceled if we decide not to go for whatever reason!)

We haven't booked yet, but are planning to go either March 8th or 9th for a week at POR!!! Lots of planning yet to do - and determining if we want to add Park Hopping and a Dining Plan of some sort before booking (hoping for a Free Dining deal to come out eventually).

Hoping it won't be TOO terribly mobbed. Missed the boat this year when the kids had off the 1st week of March - would have been close to perfect except we had a new baby and weren't in the market for a Disney trip. Was originally told spring break would again be the 1st week of March, but somehow they switched it to the 2nd week.

Looking forward to seeing lots of flowers and cool Disney topiaries at the Flower and Garden show!

:rotfl: We did the same! POR RR here we come!!! Did you request any certain building? I honestly don't care with either one, I am just happy I get to go!

AKL 1st week of March here! Hoping and praying for free dining *sigh*
I have tried all kinds of dates for March and this week looks good. Even get the flower and garden festival.
Any opinions on the 1st week??:goodvibes

I didn't request a certain building......the last visit to CBR we were seemingly at the furthest point you could be from the room to the food court, but I looked at it as much needed excercise!! Like you I don't care and feeling  getting to go!!

We are possibly planning on going March 10-16. We went the same time this year just DD and I for a surprise birthday trip. She'll be 10 next year and I told DH that I wanted to do another birthday trip with her. He goes to ACC every year the weekend before. This past year they went to Vegas to watch the tournament on TV instead and although he had fun he said he would rather go with us this year since it will be DD's 10th birthday and he doesn't really want to go to Vegas for ACC again. (He likes going to the actual games better.)

Anyway, right now I'm booked at BLT but I'm hoping to switch to AKV at 7 months. DH hasn't stayed there yet and I think he will enjoy it. I warned him that DD and I go comando all week when its just us. He asked if we would slow down for him and I said no way but he was welcome to sleep in and meet up with us when he wanted.

We are all booked in a LM room March 10-16. I'm so excited! This is DS's first trip ever, my sister's first trip, and only my 2nd! I'm worried about crowd levels though. I know it's going to be busy, but I'm just hoping not so busy that it's hard to do anything. I'm thinking tons about ADRs and waiting for March park hours to be released!

We just booked 3/25-4/1. Right now, half the week is at AKV and the other half is at OKW, but we're hoping to switch OKW to AKV.

I know the week leading up to Easter will be crowded, but it's still better than staying home!

I didn't really want to go during Spring Break, but that's when we are going. We have a family event in NC and then are heading to Disney from March 18-25th. My kids have never been. My husband and I each haven't been in 20 years at least, and that was before we knew each other.

I booked out multiple city flights last week. I just decided after a week of researching (during work ) where we want to stay and will book the condo at Windsor Hills today.

Okay, I just read the whole thread and realized I need to find the abbreviations page. I have no idea what you guys are talking about :lmao:

Since we are all going around the same time, I thought we could get to know each other a little before we go. Maybe we can set up a meeting while there! :wave2:

So, a little about me....I am 32, husband also 32, one child, DD will be 6 in Sept. We are from Austin, TX. I am in Tech Support and hubby is a Paramedic (My Hero). We will be in the world March 8-16 staying at POR Royal Rooms. :cool1:

This is DD's first trip and a total surprise to her! She thinks we are going to see my grandfather who lives in Florida (We will go see him one day but that is OT).

Our trip includes 6 day Park Hopper with Water Park option. Hubby and I have been to Disney once together with my family about 11 years ago (before we were married). My trip was shorter than his and I only got to do DHS and Epcot with them before I had to catch a flight for a job interview, but he continued on to MK (my fav) with my family without me :sad1:

Hubby has been to WDW only one other time with his family, but I have been multiple times with mine. This will be our first Real Vacation as a family with just us. We have been on cruises with friends and family but never just us so we are SUPER excited. :cheer2:

So that is my life story (or at least it felt like it)....What's your story??? popcorn:
