I'm hopeful - I won't be able to convince my husband to stay at Poly if we don't get some sort of discount. I'm disappointed that the package prices aren't out yet. We went in Nov 2011, and we had our PIN and reservations by the end of February, I think.

You are correct! I too went Nov 2011 and got my package in February with 30% and FD. I am traveling in Feb and hope that there is a discount or FD. I heard that they have never offered FD during Feb break I was also told though that packages will be out end of July beginning of August.

Would love to know if there will be FD or percentage off so I can narrow down my choices can't wait to find out the discounts

Last year free dining was announced on August 3rd - the same day I booked for February of this year. A couple of days later Disney changed the dates, but we had already booked so we got to keep the free dining.

Rates for the new year were released some times in June, which was much earlier than they are released historically.

I noticed this year there was a blackout Feb 3-10. What was going on that week? I know there's President's Day later in the month, but is there something that typically goes on at disneyworld during that time frame?

I was surprised that those dates were blacked out also, but yet it wasn't for the week of President's Day. However, there were cheer and dance competitions on the week ends of Feb. 4-5 and 11-12. Judging from the number of girls in the parks the first week end's competition was a pretty big one.

Planning for Mardi Gras 2013...Hoping for FD!!
We usually visit the week before Christmas, which is beautiful. Next year the kids are out the entire week for Mardi Gras so we thought we would try something new.

Anyone receive FD for Mardi Gras? Hoping its not a black out date...I hear us Louisiana folks tend to take over at that time

We just booked at the Beach Club arriving on 2/22/13. Could only book the room at this time. The prices are ridiculous though. The agent felt that all pricing for packages would be released around mid to late June.

How are the crowds in February? I know that many schools in the northeast are out Presidents week and we will be hitting the tail end of it.

My family was there for President's week a couple of years ago. It was not nearly as bad as I had been warned, and I am extremely crowd-averse! I think we got there on Weds so we missed the actual holiday weekend.

The weekend of the 22-24 is the Princess Half Marathon.

When I lived in MA, the schools were off President's week. Here in NH, the schools are off the following week.

We go every Feb so DS can go to the Daytona 500. Found out DD has a week off this year so she gets to go too. Glad to know next yr rates start July 11th. Just hoping I get my AP discount of 35% at a value resort like this year

We are hoping to go in Feb. 2013, Free Dining would be great. DD would love to stay in a Lion King Room at the new Art of Animation Resort. I would like to stay in a monorail resort.

Count us in for end of Jan/first couple days of Feb. Hope to do package this week, make ADRs end of month and then keep fingers crossed for any discounts. Have had FD past two years and a superduper "pay for 4 nights, get 3 free" deal back in 2010.

We are planning on a February trip. Any thoughts on why FD hasn't been offered the first week of February? Another questions is Bay Lake considered in hotel discounts if they available for this time?
