Patiently waiting for SW andJB to release dates for the 3rd week in April... Anybody know when they released them last yr or any other itme in the past..?

We went the third week of April this year and purchased our JetBlue tix on 8/11/11. I don't think that was the day they released the fares but IIRC it was pretty soon after. HTH:goodvibes

I checked my credit on Jetblue and the first round of credits were from 8/2...so we booked earlier than that for April 2012! I am waiting too so that we can use up our credit to book for April 2013!!!!!

Probably late September/early October for SWA. Last year dates after 4/9 were released on 10/3; the year before they released through 4/25 on 9/28 and through 6/3 on 10/7.

See SWA Historical Release dates.

Glad to know I'm not the only one "patiently" waiting. :-)

We usually fly on points, which we can get so much further in advance. I've been somewhat surprised by the wait when I'm actually giving them my money.

I'm waiting too. I hope the fares are decent, and I wish they could release them the same day. Wouldn't that make our lives easier? ::yes::

For those of you that bookede JB last year, how were the prices.. This could make or break our trip. If it's too high, we will sweat our butts off again next August.

In early June SW released through early January and just today they released through early Feb. I wonder if they are going to start releasing one month at a time.

Probably not, but who knows. They've done two releases close together in the past, but never have gone to monthly releases.

we ended up in the 220.00 range for nonstop flights :thumbsup2

Was your trip one of the "Easter" weeks? With such a fantastic price I'm thinking not, but who knows. Right now for our dates we're looking at a minimum of $400 per ticket on United out of EWR. Ouch.

What gives? I thought gas prices were going DOWN? :-)

we left on April 11th which was not too far from easter!!! the prices were a bit high to start and I booked anyway to get the times we wanted leaving and coming home, then the price dropped 3x so I have a pretty decent credit to use on my flights for 2013!!

I started following them on twitter so I could get notices that additional dates had been released. There was no tweet. I guess I'll have to start looking everyday as we are going at the end of February.

from Southwest

"We are currently accepting air reservations through February 13, 2013. On July 16, 2012, we will open our schedule for sale through March 8, 2013. This date is subject to change! Please check back frequently."

Jumping on this thread because I am awaiting that same week (yay April vacation!) Fingers crossed for good deals!

We are new to JetBlue, so please accept my apologies if this seems like an idiotic question! Lol!

So if I book with JetBlue as soon as they release the fares, and the price goes down after that, they actually credit you the difference? If so, what kinds of hoops do you have to jump through for this to happen? I'm imagining something along the lines of a performing monkey . . .

Thanks to all the JetBluu fliers who are willing to help hold our hands here! :-)

It is very easy! You just call Jet Blue and you get the credit to an act that you can apply to a flight used withen a year. We had over a $100 credit last year. Thats why we love JetBlue.. no cattle call for boarding and no baggage fee, credit and of course the DUNKIN DONUTS COFFEE!!

agree with disneyobsessed!!!! We have a 362.00 credit for our flights and its driving me nuts waiting for them to release the fares to include April!!!!!!!
