For us it was a no brainer, mom and dad are not 'beach people' - been in florida too long perhaps? Anyway, Sis and I knew the Outlook Lounge sounded perfect when they first started talking about what the new ships would have for wedding locations. It's really a special view up there and a nicely decorated space. Very intimate.

Sis and I also knew we wanted to do a cabana, especially since mom and dad burn so easily and like to be pampered. Sis and I think we might do a cabana again next year! We have to start budgeting now!

Question for ya: at 120 you can get the cabanas, how many can you get per room? If I move the renewal to the boat, might do the Outlook(not sure about the number allowed), we would need 2 cabanas. I could put under my name and one under hubby's name. I know that prior cruisers could reserve early too. But we are the only ones to do DCL

I think the Outlook lounge holds up to 20 guests but the wedding planner at Disney Fairy Tale weddings, Shanda, will have all the latest answers for you. I know we had to book a year in advance - or at least they recommended that. You get 8 guests included in the price (or 8 plus the bride and groom).

I also think you can book a couple cabanas at 120 days since I've heard that people book more than one when they aren't sure which they want, so I would think you could reserve one for your friends too with another name. Until our cruise our cabana had just Sis listed on the reservation. Concierge team was able to add me, my parents and our friends.

The free coppertone in the cabanas might not be enough for you! I'm just now no longer peeling!

We said goodbye to Castaway Cay with drinks on our Scottish friends' verandah. They had an extra long verandah on the very back of the ship.

Our friends asked room service to bring extra glasses for wine and we all had some wine that we had carried on board to share.

fun to watch from this vantage point. the same view would be at Cabanas and at Meridan/Palo.

It seemed to me like these rooms were bigger than this category on Magic. The bathroom seemed bigger too, but maybe it was just the fact that it was new.

Don't think that drinking on the massive deck of our friends prevented me from missing happy hour in the concierge lounge. No, apparently we still made that.

Tonight we are back in Animator's Palate.

Love the decor - this is the ceiling filled with lighted ink wells and artists palates held up with pencils and paint brush columns.

My advice, draw darker - use more pressure than I did drawing your person. We drew names for who each of us would draw. I had one of our Scottish friends. This looks nothing like her.

Because you are busy drawing your person/character, you have fewer choices to make as far as your meal goes.

Everyone gets the same appetizer and soup. The trio of tuna, procuitto and shrimp was very good.

But this popcorn soup is amazing. And I never heard of such a thing. Such a great idea to pair with this meal since the animation show is such a part of the experience. Popcorn soup and a movie!

It comes with corn bread and popcorn that you pour into the soup which is a cream soup. I heard from the Scots that it was similar to the parsnip soup served at lunch in cabanas and they also raved about that soup.

You do still choose your entree. I had the beef welington and my tablemate had the seafood pasta.

Impressed he held back long enough for me to get a photo!

Looks like this is the end. The next morning we have breakfast in Animators Palate and it's sad goodbyes.

Before our cruise we spent one day in WDW and Sis wrote a trip report on that if you are interested in adding a day to your cruise. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2941645 Our Scottish friends are DVC members and spent a few days before and after the cruise at AnimalKingdom Lodge. I'm looking forward to spending a couple days in Disneyland after our Panama Canal cruise next year!

Now that I'm done editing photos - and thank you to everyone for your patience - I'll have to get reading trip reports from similar cruises to our next cruise. Excited to see the Wonder and to spend so many days at sea!

Loved your trip report! We are booked concierge on the Dream next summer. So excited! I do have a question for you. When do the pre-dinner snacks come out in the concierge lounge? We're booked for the early dinner and I'm wondering if snacks are out before the early seating and the late seating. TIA, for any information on this!

Thank you for your trip report. DH and I learned alot. We laughed alot. Your Dad on the AquaDuck is priceless. I enjoyed your parents vows renewal. It made me wonder if DH and I should consider this in the future. So beautiful.
