Stop staring at me Phil! A Vinylmation stalking(with a side of *sparkle*)9/19 TR END!

Honestly, making up a name for reservations is a great idea! I think that name is hilarious! Hmm, now I should get to thinking of a good fake name to put down for ressies...

In Tim's sandwich, is that cranberry sauce and turkey? Looks fabulous!

Who's going to wait with me in the starting corral on January 13th???? :lmao:

It sounds like you really enjoyed your time at DTD. And how nice of the CM to take that awesome picture of you guys together. I love that stuff at Disney.
Too funny about Humperdink. :rotfl:

Tim sounds like he has quite the sense of humor. I think you mis-stated the pool games story just a little bit though. Tim wasn't the only adult... everybody is a kid at Disney World.:thumbsup2

It looks like it was a nice relaxing day.

I know what you mean about missing POP when you stay at POR. I really love POP and I was looking forward to staying there again on our next trip, but we ended up booking CSR. But like you, I'm glad to experience something new.

Hi hon, all caught up!

It is funny for me to look at this post and realize we just took some of the exact same pictures, Jasmine at DTD and her with the Potato Heads...

Great update and I love the shirts and I love that he was into the pool games, thats awesome:goodvibes

Humperdink! :lmao::rotfl2:

That's awesome. Love Tim's sense of humor. And don't beat yourself up over the Hawaiian BBQ. I order that one every time--it's awesome!

LOVE the shirts (and I remember that story)! :thumbsup2

Always love shopping at DTD and I think my hubby would like that Hawaiian sandwich very much.

Looks like you had a lot of fun at the pool too. :goodvibes

Thank you :goodvibes

I've already made Tim promise we will have EoS when we go in September, those sandwiches are sooo good :thumbsup2

Down days can be so nice. I love taking it slow and going shopping at DTD.

I discovered the Hawaiian BBQ a few weeks ago, and now I'm hooked. If the Holiday is half as good as the BBQ then I've got to give it a try.

The family reunion story made me laugh. But Tim is kinda right...it's so much easier to hear an abnormal name in a busy restaurant than a popular one. :rotfl:

The rest day was much needed, otherwise we would have kept running around exhausted...its so nice to see the other parts of Disney :goodvibes

The Holiday sandwich is soo good, but the Hawaiian BBQ is always a favorite of mine. I wish they would open a EoS near us at home!

He is right and I have learned not to embarass too easily :rotfl:

I love rest days, the parks are nice, but after the first few days you need a break! :cool1:

Haha, Humperdink...love the shirts!

OMG I still talk about that Holiday sandwich too, it was SO good! I can't wait to get one in November!

I am dreaming of that Holiday sandwich...we went in October last year, I am praying they have it in September when we go this year!!

Honestly, making up a name for reservations is a great idea! I think that name is hilarious! Hmm, now I should get to thinking of a good fake name to put down for ressies...

In Tim's sandwich, is that cranberry sauce and turkey? Looks fabulous!

We haven't missed our name in a crowded restaurant yet, so maybe he is right :rotfl:

It was so yummy, it has turkey, stuffing, and cranberry sauce! Its like Thanksgiving in a sandwich :thumbsup2

Who's going to wait with me in the starting corral on January 13th???? :lmao:

It sounds like you really enjoyed your time at DTD. And how nice of the CM to take that awesome picture of you guys together. I love that stuff at Disney.

I know!! Are you doing the full marathon again? I bet the bling next year is going to be awesome and I heard they changed the route around a little! I wish I could do it again!

He is something else thats for sure!! :rotfl:

You're right, we are all kids at Disney World!! Tim couldn't pass up games either :goodvibes

We were actually between CSR and POR, Its too bad we can't afford to try all the different resorts!

Hi hon, all caught up!

It is funny for me to look at this post and realize we just took some of the exact same pictures, Jasmine at DTD and her with the Potato Heads...

Great update and I love the shirts and I love that he was into the pool games, thats awesome:goodvibes

I know what you mean, its funny reading other reports and seeing some of the same photo spots!! I love those Potato Heads, Pop is such a fun resort :goodvibes

Humperdink! :lmao::rotfl2:

That's awesome. Love Tim's sense of humor. And don't beat yourself up over the Hawaiian BBQ. I order that one every time--it's awesome!

He is a funny guy...he keeps me entertained at all times :goodvibes I'm glad to loan him out for free too :rotfl:

After our relaxing morning and afternoon we got ready for dinner at ‘Ohana. We took a bus over to MK and a monorail over to the Poly. This was Tim’s first time eating there and I had been raving about it for a while so he had high expectations!

I love the noodles and side items more than the meat and Tim enjoyed it all! And of course BREAD PUDDING!! YUM! Served with a ton of ice cream

The lady who walks around and sings, I cannot remember her name for the life of me, she was there that evening entertaining. I love her she cracks me up for some reason. I had Tim grab us some leis and she gave Tim a little kiss on the cheek…uh oh watch out for that lady :rotfl:

We ordered some lapu lapus at the end of our meal, we were planning on heading to the Poly beach to watch Wishes after dinner and just relax. Obligatory picture of us with our drinks!

We made our way down to the Poly beach and found a nice bench swing to ourselves and a great view straight across from the castle.

We sat down and Tim had asked me what my favorite moment of the trip had been so far. I went on and on about the Halloween party, and other moments. I finally took a breath and I asked him what his favorite moment had been. He said to me "right now" and he got down on one knee in the sand and pulled out a beautiful ring!! (I still can't seem to get a good pic of it, my camera isnt the best)

He asked if I would marry him...it was sooo sweet and I was very surprised :goodvibes I can’t believe he made it all the way through over 5 days of vacation keeping it a secret!

Come to find out he had that moment planned since July :goodvibes He is usually not good at keeping secrets at all, I can’t believe he surprised me
I am not sure if I said yes or not, but I grabbed the ring, cried, and was so excited!! We called our parents, who already knew since he had told them all beforehand…but were very excited to hear all about it still!

We settled in and enjoyed the water pagent and Wishes! It was such a wonderful evening.

After the fireworks we headed back to POP! for the night. When I opened the door to our room I was again shocked:

He had the Disney florist set up this surprise while we were out having dinner and watching fireworks :goodvibes

It was just a great day, such a great surprise!!

Tim and I actually met through the DISboards…so its great to be able to share our special moment with everyone on here! Once we got home we started planning our wedding right away. We are getting married this September at the Swan and Dolphin resort…I am beyond excited!! Its going to be a small Disney wedding and we are going on the Fantasy for our honeymoon followed by a few days at POR (our first time staying there) in the Royal Rooms

Awww, I love your engagement story! Your room looked so beautiful, all decorated like that! And your ring is so pretty, my engagement ring is almost exactly the same! You guys are going to have such a great wedding and Disneymoon!

AWWWWW!:cloud9:

Way to go Timmy! What an amazing story to tell for years to come! And what a gorgeous ring!:love:

I've been waiting for this part of the story! Great job Tim and congratulations to both of you!:thumbsup2

This story is just as good the second time around!

Since I read your wedding planning journal, I knew at the beginning of this update that the night of Ohana's was the proposal, but it was still so sweet to read. It so awesome and so fitting that you two met on the DISboards, got engaged at WDW, are getting married at the Swan, and taking a Disney cruise. You'll have to write a report on either this thread or the wedding one letting us all know how it went, because I'm sure it's going to be fantastic! :wizard:

Subbing!

Going back to read now...

I did cheat and read the engagement post already...such a sweet moment! Congrats to you both!

What an amazing proposal story! I love it!!!
He did such an amazing job with picking a great moment and having the room decorated.

(I'm actually running the Goofy in 2013. Crazy, huh???)

Amanda

I just read through your whole TR - that proposal was so amazing! Wish my DH had put half as much thought in!! :goodvibes

What a wonderful engagement story! Tim did such an amazing job! And I'm totally impressed he made it 5 days into the trip! Side note - DH and I got engaged at POP on the first night of our first trip to Disney together (and his first Disney trip ever!) because he was too excited and nervous to wait! We went to Kona Cafe and the Polynesian beach the next night to celebrate! So anyway, it's a very special spot for us as well... as is the Swan!! :goodvibes

Awww! Is there any better way to get engaged in this whole world?? I think not. What an amazing night! Congrats!

I love your engagement story! Tim did goooood!

Your ring is even more gorgeous in person! Love it!

Time is flying, girlie! It will be September before you know it!

Hi, I've just started reading your trip report and I'm loving it so far - especially your cute T shirts.

Congratulations on your engagement, what a romantic proposal, and your ring is beautiful!

I am still wiping the tears away and I am so happy for you guys! Even though I knew you were engaged seeing the pictures of your gorgeous ring and the way the florist did the room is spectacular! Just gorgeous honey and you know how happy we are for the both of you:hug:

Shannon, I am crying happy tears....I love your engagement story. I certainly hope we can at least say hi to you and Tim when we are there in September. :goodvibes
