2012 Epcot Food and Wine Festival *HAS ENDED*

I'm so excited to be going to the F&W this November!! I gather it's all it's cracked up to be or everyone wouldn't be so happy to see this thread! I noticed that during my stay there are extra magic hours on a weekday night until midnight. Do any of you know if the booths tend to stay open during nighttime extra magic hours? If I can avoid the weekend, I'd rather cram it into the weekdays with fewer crowds...

The Festival Marketplace booths do not usually stay open for evening Extra Magic Hours.

We had to cancel our trip last year (not to mention this spring as well), but I can't WAIT to go this year!

Anyone think it's a coincidence that the Bistro rehab finishes starting day of F&W? Hopefully they will still have the French lunches and GM tastings!

Already booked for the food and wine classic at swan and dolphin, cant't wait to get more details about WDW food and wine

I'm really looking forward to my first Food and Wine experience and I am ridiculously excited that I will get to see Hanson (and my BFF is equally excited about The Pointer Sisters).

We have never been to F & W before and we are so excited! Looking forward to any suggestions or tips from everyone!

From EPCOT Food and Wine Festival Fans page on Facebook: The French Regional Lunches will be held downstairs at Chef's de France this year! FYI...

Although they don't keep the kiosks open during EMH, I think the WS is open til 10 PM on Friday and Saturday nights. A word of caution though, Friday and especially Saturday nights can bring huge crowds.

So excited to be attending our first F&W this year!!

Cant wait for the info to really start rolling out in the coming months :)

I'm not sure if this is old news or not, but I saw on the FB Epcot Food and Wine Festival Fans page today that the Festival will be ending on November 12 now, not the 11th. That's good for me if it's true, gives us an extra day there! :cool1:

I'm not arriving until Nov 10 so I really hope that it is open until November 12th!

That would give me another day to enjoy. Do you think it will be crazy busy on the Monday because it's veterans day? I need to change my whole plan for this extra day.

I think this year I will try to book some seminars for me and my DD13, she really likes cooking and trying new things.

For those starting to make plans now, I heard that 10/28 might be the date for the V&A dinner this year. FF's might be 11/1.

This should be treated as unconfirmed/unsubstantiated rumor at best.

That's what I've heard as well for V&A - October 28.

That's interesting. The French Regional Lunches have been one of our favorite events for the past couple years. Seems like they're making the best use of space having them at Bistro de Paris upstairs since the restaurant isn't open for lunch. Wonder how they would accommodate downstairs in the extremely noisy Chefs de France. Hoping this one's a rumor and not a reality :scratchin

I hope it's okay to ask this here. Can you pay for food with gift cards? Or do you need to have cash? TIA and sorry if this is not the place to ask this!
