Guess what? 8 miles from the Disney Vero Beach there was a shark attack around noon today.

I don't forsee much swimming in the next few days

I just went to their newspaper's website. Holy Schmoly! I'd be apprehensive too! I lifeguarded at Virginia Beach for 7 years... I have no idea what I'd do in that situation! I'm sure back in the day I would have gone right in... but I'm scared in my old age (compared to then!)

OK, cab is coming for us at 4:30 AM. We will probably get to Vero Beach around 11. Jon's family will be there about 3 or so.

Taylor is a bit nervous being home all by herself for a few days so she's decided to stay with friends and family.

I'll miss her desperately. She's the one that helps me keep my head on straight in family situations.

I don't know if I'll be able to check in so if I happen to miss Bill at the terminal, I'll see you guys at 3 in the lounge.

One week until we fly out. I can't wait. We really need this vacation. Work has us both stressed out.

Promenade Lounge at 3pm. Just a short meet and greet, and to make any updates with regards to room changes.

We're also going to meet up in the Terminal prior to boarding. I'm the mobile meeting point: I'll have on a YELLOW shirt saying "Why is all the rum gone?" and a very huge (and I do mean HUGE) green Mad Hatter hat. Not sure when I'll be arriving; depends on how fast I can get my family up and out of the hotel.

Wow! The extended weather forecast looks horrible for the cruise so far. Thunderstorms and rain all 5 days so far. Some milder temps too. I really hope this changes. I'm really hoping for it to be warm and sunny. Last year on Disney Dream Cruise our Castaway Cay day was overcast and it rained a little throughout the day. I would really like that day and the Key West day to be sunny!

Praying, crossing fingers and looking for pixie dust for good weather!

Wow! The extended weather forecast looks horrible for the cruise so far. Thunderstorms and rain all 5 days so far. Some milder temps too. I really hope this changes. I'm really hoping for it to be warm and sunny. Last year on Disney Dream Cruise our Castaway Cay day was overcast and it rained a little throughout the day. I would really like that day and the Key West day to be sunny!

Praying, crossing fingers and looking for pixie dust for good weather!

Hopefully the weather will change. The 10 day forecast looks like its improving by then, but of course it could go either way. We had a very unseasonably cold day when we visited CC last year, so it would be nice to be able to enjoy the beach.

The national weather service website shows decent weather (30% chance of scattered showers). Its only thru Friday I think.

Love it! I may have to print this out and hang it on my computer at work. 4 10-hour days this week :-/ But then Mickey will probably distract from me checking prescriptions, so that's *probably* not a good idea.


Sounds like a lot of fun and a great 2 weeks!! We're at Kidani after the cruise too... I sent you back my contact info so gimme a shout and maybe we can meet up for one last hurrah before you head home!
