So the more that I work on my "new" plan of attack.... it is starting to make sense to me and fits more of the stuff we wanna do in. The only thing I am concerned about is it seems like ALOT of jumping around. Also we are now forced to do Animal Kingdom on our MVMCP day. I remember doing it before MNSSHP a few years ago but the kids were younger. I hope we will be alright this year. lol

That's what we did in 2010 before MNSSHP and we are doing it again before one of our MVMCPs. But in our case, we just go to check out the park, nothing specific draws us there.

The only thing that is drawing us there is the Safari ride and Tusker House. We will check out the rest of the park but nothing specific

Strange...when I booked my tickets the lady didn't mention about a fee to get them shipped to me...and I got a FedEx tracking number today for them. I thought that was really fast service! They're supposed to get here by 5pm on Friday :eek: Come to think of it...I didn't even request that she mail them out to me, she just mailed them out :confused: Maybe I did pay extra for shipping :confused3

We did the party last year and I had bought the tickets from home and I got them via Fed ex with no $25.00 shipping fee. Hopefully you won't get charged $25 more just to have them mailed.

Expedition Everest is my favourite coaster (well, except for the journey to the center of the eath one in Tokyo Disney Sea but I've only been on it once so I dunno if the wow factor would last)

Did it not work out as well as you had hoped? :confused3

We plan on going to AK the morning of our MNSSHP...thought it would be a neat contrast to the party that night. Dunno what we'll do before our MVMCP though...I haven't thought that far ahead :scared:

We have park hoppers, so my plan for the party days is to start off in one park, preferably one that has morning EMH, and then go back to the resort around 2pm for a little rest, then head out to the parties around 4-5. As for food, I think it will depend on our stomachs and when we're hungry.

I booked mine online. Maybe there are different options if you call?? I tried to get them to send them to me via regular mail and I received an error message saying I couldn't. The only international option for mail was the FedEx for $25.00. I think if you were within the US, it was cheaper. I don't know, my impression of Disney (while wonderful) is that the options vary from person to person.:confused:

I probably missed something (lots of conversations going on), but why are you forced to go to AK on your MVMCP day??

It was ok but my 9pm they were so tired. I think this time we will take our time in AK and relax. Our first trip we had 4 days and 4 parks plus MVMCP so were rushed. This time we are 8 days and we have the parks pretty spread out.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Since we are doing the waterpark and more, My grandparents want to do that 9 hole golf course before they leave on the Wed of our trip so switching things around kind of works out well. I need to spend time in the next few weeks tweaking a few things and trying to make all the adr's work. I was talking to my mom and now she is concerned that she wont eat lunch some days! I scheduled some breakfasts at 1030am and then an early dinner at 5(for whatever reason....F! package, MVMCP) I cant win :headache: It is hard trying to plan for 11 ppl!
Because I was reading and found out that they are taping the ABC Christmas Parade on Nov 29th, 30th and probably Dec 1st. I had a full day at MK planned for the Friday and wanted to avoid that park like the plague!
Right. I would agree with that. We may go back to MK Saturday evening after a morning of AK (hopefully doing the Wild Africa Trek)....more so just to be in the atmosphere than to go on rides etc...I anticipate that it will be insane. I am no Disney expert by any means. This is just my second trip to the World, and my first staying onsite. We didn't eat at any of the TS restaurants last time so planning this time around is completely different for sure. I certainly can't imagine doing it for 11 ppl!
Hah! Yes, I literally LOL reading that statement :rotfl2: :lmao:
Yeah my DH said the SAME thing! He said you will change your mind about a 1000 times between now and the end of May :rotfl2: I really hope I dont but everytime I think I have it done, Someone posts some useful info on more things to book or stuff to avoid! :badpc:
I just booked our trip. Arriving Nov. 9 and staying until Nov. 18 at the POR. So excited!! First time down since 2000. :)
Hey! We just booked :cool1: At the moment, my mother and I are heading down to WDW Nov 10-Nov 18 (though we're considering an extra day). We're staying at the GF because we got a pin code for a room discount :goodvibes
We stayed about the same time of year in 2010 and liked that we get one day at F&W (yes, we know that weekends are crowded but it can't be helped) and get the Christmas party and decorations. Is everyone pretty positive that the Osbourne Lights will be up by Nov 10th? That's rather integral to our plan right now
Does anyone know when the Thanksgiving day menus will be released?
Also, I just thought of something. When I ordered my MVMCP tickets, I was told they were non-refundable and non-transferable. Therefore, will the tickets have my name printed on them? If so, I did not know if that would be a problem for my husband, daughter, and daughter's friend who will be using one of the other three tickets I purchased. I would not imagine that Disney thinks I intend to use four tickets for myself; however, they did not ask me for the names of the other ticket holders in my party.
Hi All,
We are now booked for 14-21 November to celebrate DH 40th birthday on 17th. We are staying at CR where we have stayed before. I'm busy planning my ADRs for when I can book! Really excited, our last 3 trips have been over Christmas so I'm hoping the crowds will be a little lower this trip.
Forgot to add we have booked MVMCP for 15th. Just because we're not there for Xmas this year doesn't mean we can't get in the mood does it:santa:
Here is a question for all of you who are planning on attending one of the parties (MVMCP).....what do you do during the day....tour a park as usual? rest? and what about dinner....counter service in the park or table service before? Our tentative plan right now is breakfast at 1900 Park Fare, a little park hopping to hit up some favorites, back to the resort to relax and change, then an early dinner at Kona Cafe before heading over to the MK around 5 or 5:30. We've never been to a MVMCP before and would love to hear everyone's thoughts on this. Thanks!
In 09, we had FD and we headed to the Poly for b'fast with Stitch and the gang at O'hana. Then we went to Gaylord Palms for ICE! After which we headed back to MK. We won't be doing that again this year. Too much of a rush!This year, we plan on simply sleeping in, doing some laundry, visit some of the deluxe resorts and eating counter service at whichever CS establishment we fancy at that moment and heading to MK at 4-ish.
