Kenzie's magical golden flower a Make a Wish PTR. May 24-30

On to how Kenzie got to MAW. Once day at the onc clinic I saw that there was a new lady walking around with the social worker, I didn't think anything of it. Now Kenzie is quite the social butterfly at clinic. She's singing and dancing, after the other kids get the port done she tells them good job, she tries to get everyone up to play. The lady saw her doing this and came up to us, turns out she was from Make a Wish but at that time Kenzie was to young for a wish(she had just turned 2). She took our info, and a few months later the social worker came and told us that MAW was asking about Kenzie and if she could send in the paperwork now that she was old enough I was like sure, 3 weeks later we got the letter saying she was approved for a wish. Three weeks ago we got the call that our wish granters where coming to the house to meet us and get Kenzies wish. I asked her what was she going to wish for, she told me school. LOL. We are waiting until her treatment is down to once a month as now she goes once a week and has monthly overnight stays. Just this weekend we had to stay for 4 days. Thankfully we where told she would be going down in about 2 months with no more scheduled admissions, so hopefully come September she will be in nursery school. So I asked her what her other wish would be, of course she told me a princess. Her favorite movie is Tangled, but she calls it princess movies, she had gotten 2 princess outfits for Christmas this year, and she had Tinkerbell wall decals all over her bedroom. So 2 Sundays ago when her wish granters came over, after a mini concert by Kezyonce (my nickname for her when she starts her singing) she told them her wish. So that where we stand now waiting for our dates, mid to late November or late September while I obsessively plan.

What a beautiful princess you have ! So sorry about her diagnosis .. I pray all goes well with her treatment.
I'm so happy that MAW is granting her wish !! You guys are going to have an amazing time !! Now that I've been on our trip I am even more excited for everyone else that is going !

Thank you, your boys look like they'll be heartbreakers one day, so handsome. Thank you for taking the time to read as well. It has been a rough time. Kenzie is everyone's 1st (baby, grandbaby, niece), do it's been hard to deal with. My husband and I are lucky both of our families live close so there is always a hand to help. Now GET BACK TO YOUR TR, lol.
Kenzie is a beautiful little girl! Hope you get the dates you want...who knows, maybe we will end up there at the same time
Did you get your official dates yet? Our 1st choice was the week after Thanksgivng, followed by the week before Thanksgiving or Halloween. I wonder how good they are at giving you the exact dates you ask for

Dear Danie, Thank you for leaving me a message on our TR so I could find you! Mackenzie is ABSOLUTELY beautiful and may I say so are you and DH!!! I love the idea of going to WDW the week after Thanksgiving, my DREAM is to go the first week of December...decorated for Christmas and VERY low crowds! Sounds good to me! Whenever you go, you will have the most amazing time. This far out you should get your first choice!

Just stumbled across your TR... I have a Kenzie, too! It seems like only sunny, vibrant little girls who love to sing are allowed to have that name! Your little one is beautiful-what a gorgeous smile! I'm sorry for what you have had to go through with her, but how thrilling to be granted a MAW trip! We've been the week right after Thanksgiving, it's great-hope that's when you get to go!

Thank you. We are thinking about extending our trip 2 or 3 days so we would be there that 1st week. Your whole family is amazing you must be a very proud mommy. I look forward to getting to know you guys more as well( even though as of now I probably know you better than I know my neighbors)

Thanks for reading. It does seem the same inspires outgoing children. She is just so happy all the time, even when the chemo makes her sick, it's amazing to see. You guys are going to Disney in 3 days, LUCKY.

Kenzie is doing really well. All I seem to be doing is dreaming these days. My husband has told me I've become obsessed with Disney.
Thanks for stopping by. You are really going to Disney 3 times this year, I can only imagine. I love the Hem-Onc team at NYPWC we were going to go to MSK across the street but when I went there it just felt too big, you know.
Omg lady's, when I got home last night Kenzie greeted me covered in Chocolate frosting. She had opened up the cupcakes I had bought and used one of her toy knifes to cover her whole face in the frosting. She made a mess, but she looked so funny I just had to laugh.
Small update. DH and I got a call from MAW today, they approved my sis for the trip yay. She has been such a huge help to us throughout Kenzie's whole life even before the diagnosis. Meanwhile we are busy here planing for Kenzie's bday party, she has informed us that she would like a Rapunzel princess part outside with a clown a big cake and all her friends. This kid lol

She definitely has her plans made. I was going to do a Yo Gabba Gabba circus party but she told me no. This week end we went to a friends birthday party, and she told me that it was the best party ever, so now I gotta outdo them. Lol.
