HELP!!!!!! More Disney Dreams to fulfill! 09/04 Exciting news!

Cool picutres Karin!

We were very fortunate on our recent cruise and were able to see the Fantasy three times! And we were on the Dream. It was so cool.

The first time we saw the Fantasy was on our pirate night. We got double the fireworks because the Dream set hers off then the Fantasy did their's. Woo Hoo!

Then the next day we saw her twice. Once while she was docked at CC. It was our sea day and we floated by and the ships had a horn battle. Then that night as we were sailing around the Fantasy cruised by us on her way back to Port Canaveral. They said that that was the closest you would ever see two ships sail so close together. It was pure elation to see the ships like that.

Who knew that two years ago when we booked this cruise that we would see this unexpected pairing. It was a really once in a lifetime experience. And I am so glad we were a part of it.

OMG!!!!!!!! I didn't realize you were on THAT cruise. There were lots of videos all over the internet of the DREAM and FANTASY meeting!
Lucky girl!!!!!!!
The fireworks at sea from both ships looked soooooo cool and I loved the sight of both ships at CC! You must have been thrilled.
Tom and I want to drive over to Port Canaveral to see the Fantasy cruise out during our summer vacation, but your experience was just awesome!!!!!

What a beautiful ship!

I don't blame you for getting the sensors on your car! I bet it will be nice to get it back today!

All the Disney ships are so beautiful! But it was so emotional to see her sail out on her very first "real" cruise! ;)

I just drove home and used the new sensors for the first time. It will take some time getting used to. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: It makes me more nervous than helping me so far, but I guess with time I will get better and more used to the "beeping". :lmao:

Plans for our trip to Disneyland Paris

Day 1 (hopefully), Friday April 27

UPDATE ..... April 14:
Day 1 of our trip was cancelled because we could not get an evening flight out. So our trip will actually only start on April 28!

There is a hopefully, because we weren't able to book our flights yet. I want to use airmiles, but in order to even save on them :rotfl2: I can only book 2 weeks prior to departure.
So, if everything works out these are our plans.

Tom will have to work, he starts at 4am and hopefully (again) will be home by around 1pm.
I start work at 10 and will be home by 2.15pm.

Once home we will have a very quick lunch

IMG_8403.jpg

and then leave for the airport. There are two evening flights and we hope to be able to catch the earlier one of them.

There is a short layover in Frankfurt and then we should be on the way to Paris.

While I wait for our luggage, Tom will pick up our rental car.

IMG_9739.jpg

By time we have everything loaded in our rental car, it should be around 11 - 11.30pm.
We will then just drive to a hotel right off the airport, to spend the night.

I guess since it will have been a pretty long day by then, we will just fall into bed and go to sleep.

That will be a long day. Travel days always are though, aren't they.

It must be nearing dinner time for me though... cause after reading your updates... just the picture of that sesame bun makes my mouth water. YUM!!! I do so love sesame buns. :goodvibes

Yes travel days are always long days for us ...... especially when travelling to the US and gaining 6 hours, but I guess even the trip to Paris that day will be tiring. Especially for Tom who has to get up in the middle of the night, but it will give us a head start on our trip to Disneyland resort! :thumbsup2

Hope your dinner was more than sesame buns! ;)

OMG ...... what an amazing photo! Thanks for posting the link, Jen!

Tom and I are following the ships on Marine tracker, so we knew they were both there, but I didn't know there was a photo.
How cute, the classic ship looks tiny against the new one!

Isn't is such a cute picture.

I'm hungry...lunch time here and I want to just grab that picture of that sandwich out of the screen

Ya know...when I first read that I thought, of course I ate more than that for dinner. Then... I remembered. My son made dinner...and it was sausage gravy, biscuits and eggs. (yes, a breakfast for dinner sort of deal) I wasn't about to complain since I had a long day and didn't want to cook( not to mention everyone loves that stuff here). However, country gravy with sausage in it makes me gag and he didn't make enough eggs so I didn't eat one... so what did that leave? Yup... a couple of biscuits. :rotfl2: They didnt even have the sesame seed on them.

Did you see this picture. I think it was cozumel. The Fantasy and Magic were both there. It looks like the Fantasy had a baby.

Jen, that really is cute!! Thanks for sharing this one - nice to see one I missed!
Plans for our trip to Disneyland Paris

I love how you have the trips to DLPR in between the US trips...and it is so much fun to follow along! Traveling can be exhausting, but I'd never give it up just because I lose sleep!!;)

:rotfl2: Hope you found something better than the old "wurstsemmel". :rotfl2:

What a fun "story". But that's the way it very often seems to end ..... mum ending up with the "leftovers", even though in your case they do not sound very appetizing. I am not a big fan of biscuits, and NO sausage gravy for me, thank you - might go for an egg, but biscuits on its own? :scared1: Hope you found something yum to have with your biscuits.

Christine, if Jen doesn't TAKE the cutest pictures, she finds them! :thumbsup2

We need something to haul us over between trips. ;) And now with the 20th anniversary celebration it really makes sense to go for a long weekend (Friday to Tuesday)

Thanks. I was amazed at the size difference.

The magic looks "cute" next to the Fantasy - and what a nice thought, the oldest and the youngest ship next to each other. :goodvibes

And by the way .... :goodvibes

in just 3 weeks these plans will become reality!!!!!!! :dance3: :woohoo: :dance3:

And we just watched the Fantasy coming home from her Maiden Voyage!

Welcome home, Disney Fantasy! :goodvibes

I just love the outside of the HM. It is the same ride inside though?

Pastries look yummy....

Your villa is so crisp and clean looking! I assume you have stayed here before?

And how exciting to see a new show. I will be anxious to hear about it!!!

Phantom Manor (HM) the ride, is basically the same as in the US, the story is a bit different, but the basic effects are the same.
They have a "fun" graveyard you can walk through after the ride, with a tomb, which if you listen carefully will start knocking. :rotfl2:
Doesn't it remind you of the "Psycho" house though? I have always thought it looked like it. :lmao:

Yes, we have stayed at Citea (the villa) before. It is like a little village and has a little garden and you can even make a barbecue there. It feels very French and not so much like a hotel. :thumbsup2

They have a new parade AND the new Disney Dreams show, which is like "the magic the memories and you" and "fantasmic" in one.
Here's a link that has been posted on the DLRP fan site!

Sounds wonderful!! Can't believe next month I start my FREE Trips again !!This will be my 3rd year of doing them !!!!
