NEW! Disney PhotoPass+ arriving April 4, 2012

I plan to upgrade on May 4th when we go. We pre-purchased our cd and I would love to have the ride photos plus the dinner pictures on there as well.

After looking at the specifics about this, I think we too will be upgrading our pre-purchased CD to the Photopass+ when we go in August. We are going to 5 of the character meals listed (actually 6, but Tusker House lunch is not included...darn) and we ride every one of the rides that are listed too. So for $100 more, I think it may be worth it to try it out....if we end up not liking it, we will just not do it again.

They just posted on Facebook that the TuskerHouse character lunch will now also be included. For myself I'm wondering about the photo package you can get at the Pirate's League (and BBB I guess) and whether they will also be included?

Did anyone else notice that they eliminated the option of sharing with a group on this one? You can add as many regular Photopass cards to your account as you want, but you only get ONE PHotopass+ card and that one has to be used at dining and attraction photo options.

I didn't notice as we've never done a share. But I can't say that I blame them. If they could logistically work out limiting the number of cards used in the parks without making the package unmarketable, I'm sure they would have done that as well.

I'm sure it's only a matter of time before someone has that lightbulb moment.

Thanks for the update :cool1:...I have been thinking about this more and more and have decided that it is definitely worth the upgrade, and this update puts the icing on the cake :goodvibes.

after looking at what ride photos we had purchased just on the last trip as well as Chef Mickey, I am thinking that the $200 is going to pay for itself in no time with the family pictures, character meals(not yet booked but notes of where they want to eat), and all the ride pics that we have bought and others that we passed on, but would have loved to gotten them now.....I know that the one pkg we got at CM was @35-45 and ride pics were atleast 20.....I think that if we were to purchase this, we would spend more on the frames and books!

Is this just adding the digital image to your cd, or does this include the physical picture that you would get on the ride?

I keep going back and forth in my mind if this is worthwhile. $200 could buy me a whole new camera, however I am a sucker for those ride photos...

Wish they would have done this sooner! If the pre-order has gone up to $120, then it's really just another 4 or 5 ride photos before you come out ahead. It is a lot of money, but they've got a somewhat captive audience. I wouldn't necessarily do this for a smaller trip, but if the whole family's going for 6 or more days, I could see it being worth it for us. We tend to do our favorite rides multiple times, it would be nice to have the photos. We also print a lot of the pictures for a scrapbook.

Does anyone know if they will be adding the photos taken at the exotic driving experience? That would definately make it worth the money!

So I was planning on doing the family photo shoot at the resort- and it is really expensive. Thinking it over with hubby, this is a better deal for us to get some great family photos - spread out throu-out the trip at all our favorite character meals and on the rides. I am switching and going with this option!!!!! - So glad I found this thread.

Does anyone know of a site where you can view samples of the various photo packages? I've seen lots from the character meet & greets but not really of the various restaurant locations such as Chef Mickey, 'Ohana, Spirit of Aloha, etc. I found out that Pirate's League and Bibbity Bobbity are NOT included so I'm trying to figure out if it would be worthwhile for us to upgrade.

For our current situation this is not something that we'll do but I like the idea. With our young kids, we don't get any ride photos and we usually only do one character meal with the photo. We'll pay for the one photo OOP and then keep our regular CD. :)

Once the kids are old enough that we start wanting ride photos again we might do Photopass+. Other posters are right; it only takes a few ride photos before this becomes worth it.

Do they not already add dinner pics to photopass? I could have sworn at Chef Mickey's on our last trip that we handed the photographer our photopass card and were able to view all the pics once we got home. I was under the impression that we could do this anywhere a photopass photographer was taking pics (at dinners, character meet-n-greets, BBB). I was excited at first thinking this will save me $30 a pop for dinner photo packages, but then realized that was the reason I prepaid for the CD this time.

Maybe I dreamed this? :confused3

If you purchase the restaurant pics, there's a PhotoPass code on the side of the picture. I think it might be on the picture receipt, too. It can be added to your PhotoPass that way, but we've never had our PhotoPass scanned at a restaurant.

I think that is only if you purchase the physical pictures. It was included at Askershus, since the picture comes with your meal.

I think i'm gonna do it. I will ride all the rides anyway plus was gonna buy gallery cd and am doing donalds brfst plus crt so I'd say I got my 100 back

Ah, yes. You are both right. We did buy the CM package. It's all coming back to me now. I am also remembering going to one of the kiosks at a resort and having them use the code to upload the pics to photopass. My SIL figured that out, I just followed her lead.

I'm also reading the details a little more slowly and am seeing that the print packages would be included in this upgrade. Before, I would have paid for the CD and then paid more for the package at dinner.

Ok, I'm excited about this again. :lmao: Thank you!

1. Will I still be ale to get the BBB lotto shoot n the regular photo pass?
2. Will I still get the picture at Cinderellas Royal table?

I pre bought the photo pass cd specifically to get the BBB photo shoot photos.

By the way, Disney PhotoPass has answered a lot of the questions asked here on their facebook page. You have to read through all the comments though to link the question with the appropriate answer. Hope that helps!

Thanks for this. I had most of my questions answered there!
