Hello fellow Magic cruisers! We recently returned from our second Caribbean cruise aboard the Magic, and loved it so much (again) that we had to rebook onboard. We hope to meet some new friends before setting sail from Galveston on 3/1/2013. Come join us!

**** PLEASE NOTE ****

This thread was started before DCL changed its SPRING 2013 itineraries. We are now actually an 8-night Bahamas sailing. Sorry for any confusion, but if you are cruising to Castaway Cay, Walt Disney World, and Key West aboard the Magic from Galveston on March 1-9, 2013...This is your thread!!

Here is a link to our Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/groups/magicgoestexan/
To join us over there, please post a message in this thread so we will know to approve your FB request. Thanks!

Here is our itinerary as of 12/12/12. I will keep it updated with additional information as it becomes available:

Hey

We will be sailing this cruise as well

You would think after 5 cruises I would know better than to leave without booking on board.

But, Luckily i have a friend who was smart and booked on board so at least i get to share in the OBC!:goodvibes

WE are going to be doing an inside cabin this time, but close enough to the private verandah that we can almost feel like we have our own large verandah with a white wall.

Hopefully will be chillin' ALOT THIS CRUISE.

Wow! What an AWESOME friend you must have. ;)

I hope it's not long before we get this thread going. I'm looking forward to having some local Texans join us so they can give us the scoop on the port and such! So glad to be cruising with you guys again.

Oh, and I LOVE your new pic!

I hope so! I checked out a couple of the other Galveston threads and it seems like they have at least a few Texan peeps. I have been to Houston and can do the pre-cruise planning, but I have read mixed reviews of the Galveston port on another board. I am interested in hearing some firsthand info. Of course, I guess anyone who has cruised out of Galveston will do...they don't necessarily have to be Texan. Haha!

P.S. - Check out my new TICKER!

OH I LOVE YOUR TICKER!!

So, I am booked in Cabin 7621.
I dont know if we will stay there or not:confused3

I dont really want an inside room But I really want to go on this cruise:thumbsup2

I dont even know if My DD will be going on the cruise with us so i did not put her in yet, i can add her later if need be.

We were not in our Cabin that much But i do like looking at the water while we are getting ready for dinner etc but it will just make me get ready faster.

WE have done an inside cabin before and we survived and that was with 2 kids with us;

Well, I will say one thing about the verandah room. On this last cruise, there were several days when the wind blew so much that everything on the verandah was crusted with salt! There were times when I wanted to hang out and read, but I didn't want to get salty and crusty.

Besides...wanting to gaze at the sea while relaxing and sipping a cocktail will just give you a good excuse to come visit ME!

So, I guess this will still be us for awhile: :hyper2:

Hahaha!

Funny,

If you look and see how mnay "visits" we have had over 100....Yet still just you and me.

Maybe we have scared others off!

I have been reding up on some beaches on Costa Maya
I believe it is Mahahaula.

ANd then there is Rum Point in The Grand Caymans.

Are you guys going to stay on the ship at any of the ports?

I have added your thread to the cruise meet list :thumbsup2

Have a great cruise!

I was wondering if you would kindly put the Itenerary into your first post.

This way when I or others who may join later are too lazy to look it up, we can just look at the first post.:goodvibes

Thanks:love:

Some of those 100 are me!

Not scared off though- in fact it's so much fun over here already I might just go ahead and book!

We're actually booked for the miami 5-night leaving March 2nd. I REALLY want to do this Crazy 8 with you though! :dance3:

I guess we won't decide 'til flights come out. So for the time being, as you see those 'visits' increasing, it's probably me lurking for Galveston info.!

hi freds girls

welcome

glad to hsve you even if just lurking for now

Why yes, I will! And if you will be so kind, please help me be on the look out for a schedule of dinner events (Formal, Captain's Gala, etc.) so I can add that as well. Thanks!

on the tread mill and determined to loose 11 popunds and keep it off

Haha! Well...HI!! Feel free to lurk. And if you happen to be lurking on any other Galveston Western threads and come across any need-to-know info, please feel free to share! We can tell you plenty about the Magic and her Port Canaveral itineraries, but we don't know a thing about Galveston or this new 8-night itinerary. :confused3

Oh great! Now I will have to lose 11 lbs. Ugh.

At least there will be some funny "treadmill typo" posts to look forward to! (I know...the dangling preposition. I don't care; "...to which to look forward" sounds stupid.) :upsidedow
