Ok, here goes. I am starting my first PTR!! :cool1:

I wanted to start it earlier, but I didn't want to have big stretches of time with no updates. Then next thing I know, here we are only 41 days away! :scared1:

We are going on our 2nd WDW trip. Our first trip was last May. We had such a GREAT time, that we booked another trip as soon as we got home. This time we are going 4/29-5/9!

Here is the gang.

This is me (36). I am a stay at home, homeschooling Mom to my two wonderful daughters. I am also the planner. I plan and research EVERYTHING! :surfweb:

This is my DH (45). He works for the government in the IT department. :badpc: He is holding our loveable pug, Buddha. (I just noticed that both the boys are showing some grey in their face fur. ) :rolleyes1

Here is my oldest DD (16). She is a FABULOUS artist. :artist: She just won first place at a district art contest here in NC. She loves anime and has plans to go to Japan after she graduates.

And this is our youngest DD (8). :butterfly She is sweet, tender-hearted, animal lover. Her life plan is to go to China to work with Pandas. After that, she wants to open her own animal day-care/rescue. Oh and in there somewhere , she will be getting her PhD (Veterinarian) Quite the little planner.

OUR TRIP DETAILS:

POP CENTURY!!! (The youngest loved it so much, she did not want to say anywhere else.)

The title of this PTR came about because we have not told our family that we are going back. :ssst: Our family is all in Oregon (this is where we are from) so they don't know yet. We will have to tell them eventually, but we really do not want the guilt trip to spoil our trip. We just saw them at the beginning of last year and my in-laws are flying out again this coming September. They think we should spend EVERY vacation visiting them. :guilty:

Don't get me wrong, we love our family, but last year was the first vacation we have taken (just us, not visiting family) in over 5 years. (Since we moved to the East Coast).

We will be driving from NC. We have 8 day park hoppers (this means we will have one "park-free" day)

I hope that you will join me on this Pre-trip Report journey.

Terri

Wow, o.k. some of those pictures are HUGE! :scared1:

I am not sure what happened. I tried to make them smaller. :confused3

Oh well, if you are bored, you could always play..count the pores! :lmao:

Or connect the freckles! :rotfl:

Hi! :goodvibes Following you over from the May thread.

We will also be at Pop 5/1-5/9.

I LOVE your countdown calendar. I got a countdown chain from someone here on the DIS, but since I have a 4yr old, I'm waiting until 30 days out simply because I don't want to answer "when are we going?" for longer than necessary. :rotfl:

Looking forward to reading about your plans. :)

:cool1::cool1::woohoo:

I have a follower!!! :rotfl:
My youngest DD helped make the countdown calendar, so it is super colorful! I went back and forth about when to start it. If you do it too early, they get bored of it.

That is so neat that we will be at Pop at the same time! If you see us, say hi! I have some things I am going to put in our window at Pop and we will have lime green Mickey heads on our bags.

4 is just a great age. I wish we had gone when my youngest was 4. We took DD16 to Disneyland when she was 5. Luckily my youngest is still a believer.

We took DD4 at 19mo, almost 2 and 25mo (last 2 by myself) and by far the best trip was at 25mo. I'm a little nervous at 4 because she is 4 going on 14....has an opinion on everything!! :rolleyes1 The baby will be just shy of 14months but has such a different personality (i.e. clingier :lmao:) from her older sister I'm not sure how she will react. I'm hoping to make a few zoo trips with them before vacation just to see how the baby will be being in the stroller for long periods, walking around, etc. Vacationing was way easier with one. :rotfl:

We'll be at pop April 28th-May 5th! I love you count down calender! Maybe I'll have to make one.

Wow, how fun. My youngest was/is a clinger too. :cutie:

Made it over!!!!! LOVE THE COUNTDOWN CALENDAR!!!! It is very colorful and cheery!!!!! I just noticed that we are arriving the day you are leaving- maybe we will bump into each other in the hotel!!!!

Hi! I can't wait to read about your plans and your trip! Your countdown calendar is great! How fun :goodvibes

We moved here to the Disney area from NC ~ Asheville. I homeschool too :):):)

Your title caught my eye since we're going in May---but we're going at the end of the month.

When I started reading, I realized we have a special little thing in common----

This is Millie, our little puggie. She'll be 11 in May!

I'm in! Sounds like a great trip planned so far...our trip is also a secret from the kids! We are heading down at the end of may though.

I once had a pug named Budda (his official name was Texican the Buddaman) I just love those little guys!

How fun. I wish we could stay longer!! Last trip, we didn't want to leave. We lolly-gagged around until 11am!! We didn't make it home until 12:30am! :scared1: We arrived to a nasty thunderstorm too. This time we are determined to get an earlier start. It is just so hard to leave. :lmao:

Woohoo, love to meet fellow homeschoolers! :teacher: We have lived in NC for almost 5 years. We love it. We also LOVE homeschooling!!

Oh my, what a doll. I see she also has a lot in common with our Buddha...he favorite things are also eating and sleeping! :lmao: Buddha turned 10 in January!

:lmao: What a great name! When we got Buddha, he was a VERY small pup, but the lady was not taking care of him. (He was 8wks old) He had worms, which caused him to have this tight, round belly....hence the name Buddha. :rotfl:

Let's Eat!!!

I am going to post our dining plans! Let me know your opinion. Our last trip we had the DxDp. We enjoyed having it prepaid, but it really just did not work for us. Our youngest does not really like the kids menus and I have IBS which affects the way I eat as well. We decided that this time we were going out of pocket. We are putting our "dining" money on a prepaid visa. We did not eat at very many CS places since we had all the table services. This will be a new adventure for us!

ADR's
4/30 - Chefs de France 1pm

5/1 - Crystal Palace 8:10am
Afternoon Tea at Garden View Tea Room 3:40pm (New to us)

5/2 - 50's Prime Time 6:30pm (new to us)

5/3 - Rose & Crown 7:35pm

5/4 - Tusker House 8:05am
Rainforest Cafe 6:30pm (new to us)

5/5 - Sanaa 12pm (new to us)
Kona 6:55pm

5/6 - Tokyo Dining 1pm (new to us)

5/8 - Liberty Tree Tavern 12:45pm

So, what do you think??

Some CS places we are thinking about are:
Sunshine Seasons (loved it last time!)
Columbia Harbor house (new)
Flame Tree (new)
Contempo Cafe (new)
Captain Cooks (new)
Pop
Earl of Sandwich

Ok, I am hungry now! Next I will post some of our snack plans.

Since we have been talking about food, I thought I would post some pictures of our favorites from last year.

Yummy!! (the baked mac and cheese from Chefs de France)

This is the sorbet from Chefs de France. (It was raspberry, kiwi, and coconut)

LOVE this bread and macadamian nut butter!! Kona

Do you see those lovely little bowls of soup? That was one of the main things I was looking forward to. (Potato Leek soup from Rose & Crown.) I am sad to say, they do not have it on their menu anymore. :sad1:

Both of these are from Liberty Tree tavern. DH ordered the pot roast and I got the pasta. They were both GREAT! I think we may do the same and split them.

Ok, now I am REALLY hungry! lol

Oh my goodness! You are making my stomach hurt. I haven't eaten lunch yet and those pictures look SO good! I love Earl of Sandwich and the sorbet looks incredible.

I'm drooling, lol.

Your ADRs sound wonderful ~ so much good food and fun experiences!

Good looking ADRs! We've eaten at some of your places, and there are others we've never tried. Kona---Definitely one of our favorites! :)

Thank you! We did have a great time and great food. In fact, everything went so well that I am nervous that there is no way this trip can live up to the last.

Of course my DH and DD8 were both sick (him since the 2nd day and her just the last 2 days) They both had some kind of allergy thing. So they might not agree that it was the BEST trip. :lmao: But even they had a good time.
