We stayed at the Seattle Marriott Waterfront, and loved it. REALLY nice hotel, clean, good food...and we flew in 2 days ahead of time so that we could see the sights. The Marriott is right next to the elevator that will take you up to Pike Place Market, and right across the street from all of the waterfront shops and restaurants. Also walking distance to the Space Needle.
We actually rolled our luggage to the port from the hotel...it was only about a block and a half away.

Thanks for the suggestions!
As far as I know, DCL is on Pier 91.
I did see the Marriott Waterfront, and I do prefer Marriott properties, they just don't have rooms for 6 that I see. But that's not a deal breaker. It's a front runner at this point.
Is it easy to catch a cab around that area? I'm just worried about not being able to get one and on time. (Obviously I've never been to Seattle).
Thanks everyone!

We stayed at the Edgewater and loved it!
Yes, the Edgewater looks nice too, I'm just not quite sure if that's in everyone's budget - we have my mother and her friend going with us.
I'm trying to find a non-smoking hotel too. We were recently bumped from a booked non-smoking room to a smoking one and now I'm paranoid that'll happen again. DH and my mother both have CPAP machines and DS with asthma.
All Marriott hotels (in the US) are non-smoking.
