I know it doesn't mean much until DCL makes official announcements for the Disney Wonder schedule for 2013 but, the Wonder is now (as of 01/09/12) showing up on the Port of Hawaii cruise schedule for Maui.

Here is what is odd:

1. So far, the Wonder is only showing up for Maui
2. The dates in Maui are September 17,18,20,21 2013. Where is it on the 19th and why is it on the same island on consecutive days?

Below is a link to the schedule:

I hope we don't have to wait much longer for DCL to release 2013 schedules. :goodvibes

Virdis you crack me up:rotfl2: Eagle eye. Looks like you guys want a 2013 Hawaii. I am going to miss you guys on my MR next month.

If the Hawaii prices ever came down, I would love to do DCL. However, it looks like there is such demand for it I think the prices will remain high. Coming from the west coast it is cheaper to fly to an island and spend a whole week there in a condo then my family of 5 to afford a cruise.

It's going to be anticlimactic when they do because at the rate we're going, everyone will already know!!! :rotfl2:

Sigh...Hawaii would be nice. But those dates are during the school year <sob>...

Congrats on your MR cruise next month.:thumbsup2 We really can't afford a Hawaii cruise either (especially with the nose bleed prices DCL has). Plus the kids would be in school.

What I am more eager to find out is if DCL will still have anything on the West Coast. There is no way we can do East Coast so if they leave the West Coast, its bye bye DCL for us. We would just eat the price of the dummy date we booked on last MR cruise.

Ann REALLY wants an Alaska cruise but its not in the cards this year. Hoping it will be in 2013. We are keeping our fingers crossed :littleangel:

..

Hmm....isn't that always the case??? ;) :rotfl2: I guess DCL doesn't pay the ports enough to keep it quiet.

Sept. is when many cruise lines do the repositioning from Alaska, so it would make sense that they are doing Alaska again too. :cool1:

Princess, for example, often does Hawaii all winter & Alaska all summer, often round trip from LA, but sometimes it is just where they stop on the way back from Alaska.

Good job finding this!! :thumbsup2

.

I don't know if I will be able to do the Hawaii cruise or not but I'm very happy to see that the Wonder will be in the Pacific.

I don't know where she'll be on the 19th, but Hawaiian cruises quite frequently overnight in Maui. I think part of that is so folks can do early morning excursions. Kahului is not exactly close to where most of the excursions go from (Lahaina) and the best snorkeling, etc, is early morning.

Hmm...there's a thought...if they offer a Hawaii cruise departing from Seattle or Vancouver, might just have to pull the kiddos out of school. At least we could save the cost of airfare...

Sigh...Oh mighty DCL, please put me out of my misery and release the itineraries so that I will at least know if I have a snowball's hope of getting on a ship in 2013! :rolleyes1

Maybe the Wonder will do two one-way cruises between Vancouver and Honolulu, and Sept. 20th is the turnaround day! However, I would think the ship would overnight in Honolulu.

I would be interested in a one-way Hawaii repo cruise, but a round-trip cruise with twice as many sea days as port days doesn't interest me.

I'm pretty sure the ship would depart from Vancouver, because it can't do one-way cruises between Seattle and Hawaii.

Was hoping for Wonder to come back East...oh well. Hawaii is highly unlikely in reality (not in my DREAMS ;) ) get the joke? DREAM like a disney ship? haha, I apparently have "dumb" and "stupid" jokes according to the fam... that could be one of them.

Anyway... if i ever do go on Disney in 2013 it will probably won't be the Wonder. Of course they would do Caribb., do PC, repo to Alaska via Hawaii but thats unlikely. At least we *unofficially* know that Wonder will be in Hawaii in 2013.

The ship definitely overnights in Maui twice. From the port schedule linked above, the ship arrives at 7:00 a.m. on Sept. 17th and departs at 5:00 p.m. on the 18th. It also arrives at 7:00 a.m. on the 20th and departs at 5:00 p.m. on the 21st. I think it will go from Maui to Honolulu to drop-off passengers and pick-up new ones before returning to Vancouver.

Virdis - You can just keep moving your dummy cruise further out if you can't sail in 2013. You can also just cancel altogether and get all of your deposit back as long as the sail date is 75+days out.

Why don't you and the family join us on the 7/2/2012-7/9/2012 Alaska cruise? It'd be nice to know someone before we board the ship. There's practically no activity on the meet thread for that cruise...

Wednesday, 9/25 - sea
Thursday, 9/26 - sea

From there the ship could reposition to Los Angeles for more Pacific Coastal cruises, continue with Mexican Riviera cruises, or do a Panama Canal cruise.

This looks good. Too bad it's only on the calendar in September and not during another time of the year.

Unfortunately (and only because I am a west coast/Pacific Ocean hopeful), this does not rule out the Wonder being on the east coast the first part of the year (remember those Grand Cayman port schedules?...I think it was Grand Cayman...), returning to the west to do Alaska and then these Hawaii cruises. Wonder what they are planning for the rest of 2013? Back east maybe? Seems like they wouldn't do MR because of how poor it's selling but maybe? Maybe a few Pacific Coastal cruises?
