Who's staying up for 24 hours on Feb 29?

I'll be there--hopefully for the full 24 hours. Even have a fun and wacky idea for getting into the Guinness Record Book!
Who is with me?

Not me! Even in college (in San Francisco) the latest I stayed up was 1ish. And I didn't like it! Even when I can be at Disneyland till 12, we are always out of there by 10 or 11 at the very latest, so I can't imagine wanting to be there all night.

You guys go have fun for me--with my blessing!:)

I'm going to be there earlier in the month, but even if I could make it on the day, there's no way that I'd try for anything close to the full 24 hours. I think that I would most like to head into the park around 11pm and stay until about 7am. I'd love to watch the sunrise over Disneyland.

I, too, will be there on the 29th - however, I don't plan on staying the full 24 hours either. I am gonna try the overnight thing as well. I'm staying at the Disneyland Hotel so I can make a few back and forth trips.

My husband and I will be there, flying in from the uk. We'll be there at 6am for opening but I doubt very much we'll be there the full 24 hours. We'll still be jetlagged and we have a big road trip to think about so best to not be shattered for the rest of the holiday!

I am!!! Trying to get my friends on board. I know my (crazy as me) sister is with me! If you are a born & raised die hard Disneyland fan, this is a day you can't miss. It's like the 25th or 50th Anniversaries...a day in history!
World Record! What a great idea!!
Keep me posted on what you find out.

I'm doing flight & hotel research now!

We will be there but not doing the 24 hour thing. We have 2 little ones to take back to sleep. However, we did just talk about taking turns staying wiht the kids at the hotel while the other go back to play at night ;)

I wonder how the ticket situation will work. Will they clear the park in the morning before the 1st?

I immediately decided I wanted to do this, but I wouldn't stay in the park the whole 24 hrs. Definitely getting a hotel so we can nap mid-day. I'm most excited about being there all night.

I'm really curious how the crowds will be. I think it's a typically slow time of year for DL, but this "event" will bring lots of people who wouldn't ordinarily go on that day. Then factor in young children, and the fact that it's on a Wednesday, so that locals would likely need 2 days off from work (what I am planning). Anyway. Time will tell if we get there or not.

Well, it said 6 AM, and I'm guessing the park doesn't open on the 1st till 8 or 9 AM, so yes, I'm sure they will boot everyone out while they restore the park to order!

My DBF and I plan to go (Disneyland) and bring the RV so we can go back and nap for a few hours and then head back in the park around 1-2AM. RV parking is only $20.

After the parks close at 6AM we'll get some sleep and head back in the parks for a few more hours before we drive home Thursday night. We only live about 1 1/2 hours away and have AP's so I think our plan's a good one.

What a fun idea! :)

DBF and I are thinking of doing a mid-week visit just the 2 of us. The kids will have school....hehe :) If we do it will be a Tues-Thurs deal for us and we won't spend all of Wed in the parks. What we would do is sleep in Wed morning, hit the parks, grab FPs, rest in the afternoon/evening and eat outside the parks then head back in the late evening. We definitely want to try to stay as late (or early) as we can but we haven't figured out if we can even do it yet. :)

I am going to go late, so hopefully in the middle of the night it won't be too crowded for once!!!

Wonder if the ticket price will be the same or if that day will end up being a "special event" ticket. Also wonder if APs will be blacked out.

Anyone know?

I was thinking of going....but keep wondering what the crowds will be like. Maybe I will try and show up at 12 pm and take the place of those pooping out....what do you all think the crowds will look like?

I haven't read all of the responses but I don't think 24 hours straight sounds like much fun. Unless they have CMs who normally work a type of graveyard shift, I think service will be sub par with good reason. It's going to be cold. People are going to be exhausted.

Having said that, I hope all of you going have a great time. :goodvibes I'll be here eager to read about everyones experiences. :thumbsup2
