February 2012 Aulani check-in!

It seems there are so many of us going to Aulani in February I thought I would start a thread so we can check in, write about our plans, ask questions and plan a meeting!

Introduce yourself-where are you from, family members/ friends going, etc.

we then go to the Big Island for 5 nights!

We check in OVGV Feb 18 for three nights after the week long NCL Island cruise!

We'll be there Feb 19th to the 22nd, after 4 nights on the big island, and four nights on Maui. This is our 25th anniversary trip, and we're having a memorial service/ash scattering on Maui for my mom and dad. It will be DH (John) & I (Pat), and our two DD's Jenny 24 (almost) and Mary 18.

Wayne,Sheila , along with our teenage sons Tanner and Jade.

The time here will make us forget about winter for 9 days...

Hi all!

We'll be there Feb 12th through the 18th. We're squeezing into a one bedroom oceanview (while we still can.)
It's me, DH, 3 kids (DS7, DS5, DD2) and a baby (9 months.) Once the baby turns 2, it will 2 bedrooms for us where ever we go! We're in the market for more DVC points!

This is the last leg of our 19 day vacation! We start with 5 nights at the Villas at the Grand Californian. Then 7 nights at the Marriott's Maui Ocean Club on Kaanapali beach. Finally 6 nights at Aulani.

This is our third trip to Hawaii and each time we've visited Oahu and Maui. If it weren't for having to experience Aulani, we would have gone to the Big Island on this trip. Oh well, that can wait!

I have started a PTR for this trip if anyone is interested. I'll add the link to my signature. It's in the Disneyland TR section, since that's where our trip starts.

My dh and I will be there 17-26 feb, studio pool view, we are coming from Sydney Australia to go to the soccer tournament......and thought we'd try out our DVC points at aulani.
Kelly live will also be there at this time, so hopefully it won't be too crazy, we wanted quiet time on the beach

I just got off the phone with the the desk at Aulani.

The person I spoke to stated that they weren't expecting there to any significant closures of parts of the resort. She also stated that the filming would be done in the early morning.

Who knows if that will be the case, but the placebo made me feel better.

Meanwhile, I told DH about this and he became excited, he said that he was 'feeling the approach of his 15 minutes of fame'.

We will be there from Feb 5-13th (as long as the Wonder docks after our MR cruise on time. We are doing the MR from Jan 29 - Feb 5th off the ship and catching a flight to Hawaii.
