Any speculation or past year's reference on when a new mug might come out? I love the current design, but it really isn't a year round option...I should think with it being the end of Sept., we should see something new soon...

Maybe a 40th anniversary? released Oct. 1??

The last two mug designs ran for like 2+ years each, so my prediction is the current design (new for 2011) won't be changed again until early 2013.

I'm hoping they're sticking with the current one. We go every February and the last few times it was the SAME mug. I'm hoping these bright ones are still available when we go in a few months.:yay:

I admit to not reading all 51 pages of this thread, so I apologize if this has been asked already. What options are there for the refillable mugs that are not carbonated? I recently had weight loss surgery, and carbonation is a no-no. I'd also prefer not sugary, but if they have something like lemonade that I can water down, that'd be ok. Mostly I'm sure I'll drink water, but I'd hate for the mug to go to waste so to speak.

TIA!

There's lemonade and iced tea. The lemonade is really sweet, but the iced tea is Gold Peak, and comes in four varieties, one of which is unsweetened.

Other non-carbonated options:

There may be Powerade depending on your resort. Pop Century has blue Powerade.

The "regular" lemonade available almost everywhere is Minute Maid Light. Some resorts have pomegrante lemonade; not sure if it that is in addition to regular or instead of.

And you can use your mug for coffee.

Sorry if this was said earlier but have the mugs changed since the Spring in colors and designs. Coming back in a few weeks and hope there are new style this time.
We leave tomorrow I too am wondering about the mug design??

Depends on what you got in the spring, how early it was. If they were still selling the red Celebrate Today mugs, then yes they have changed. But if you got the "fab five" at the pool design -- which I'm guessing you did in the spring -- then no, they have not changed. They don't change the mug designs that frequently.

Here's what they are selling now, with black instead of yellow lids:

That would be cool :cool1:

When we were at AKL 3 weeks ago, they were the same design, but Pink, Blue & Black. We did see some people with Orange ones in the park. So maybe different resorts have different colors?

Unless you're staying at All-Star Sports, you should expect pink, blue, and black mugs.

All-Star Sports is doing a test of mugs with an RFID chip and those colors have been reported as purple, green, and orange. Those colors actually showed up at Pop Century in August (no RFID chips on them) and I got a green one. But by the end our trip the stock was back to pink, blue, and black.

The yellow from the pictures was being sold when the mugs first came out in 2011 but seem to be replaced by black as a choice instead.

Thanks I'm getting so excited...:banana::banana: we have never been during the fall season only Christmas... :yay:

Dang, I was hoping to get something different than the ones we got in July.

Not sure this is the right place to ask this, but is it true that you get a free refillable mug with the Magic Your Way dining package?

Starting in 2012, yes, all the dining plan packages will include credits for a refillable mug.

For the 2011 dining plans, the quick service and deluxe plans included refillable mug credits, while the regular plan did not.

Can anyone tell me if the Boardwalk Inn offers Powerade at the refill stations? My daughter will be running several miles every day during our stay and needs her Powerade or Gatorade.

When I was at the Boardwalk Bakery and Seashore Sweets which are two locations you ask the Cast Members for refills, I don't remember seeing either one of those drinks available.

Are there any mugs that allow you to bring them back on your next visit for free refills? I thought I heard something around last February or March that said Disney was moving in that direction. But later possibly contradicted by the RFID program. But I wasn't sure if the RFID program just limited daily abuse of the system or if it also eliminated the possibility of owners bringing them back on their next visit.

Refillable mugs are only good for one vacation. I don't think that is ever going to change, as the RFID chips are being used to prevent this.

Thanks. Maybe one day they'll sell a "Lifetime Mug" for double the price.

They used waaaaaaaaaaay back. I think those lifetime mugs won't work once the RFID system is in place everywhere though. I guess they're lifetime-until-Disney-changes-things mugs. :confused3
