The Side effects of the AP-Trip#6 Oct 10 Final thoughts and some TMI

Sure you did. Did you recently check your pockets and find Soarin' fastpasses? :rotfl:

I am almost beginning to wonder if I went to get Soarin' FP at all. It may have been vetoed by sleepy boy. :rotfl:

If I ever get my dream job at Disney, remind me not to work for that guy.

As funny as that whole exchange was, i was thinking the same thing.... until

:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl: Very nice!
My best work. :lmao:

Wherever you go, I know it won't involve getting syrup and creamer from the dining hall.

Don't be too sure about that. :lmao::lmao:

Actually I can tell you that much is true. However somebody's actions have some very interesting consequences. :rolleyes1

It won't be too long before we are seeing displays like this again! :cool1:

I think I need to send my boys with your son! They have all been going since they were in diapers and the last several years it has been an annual trip for them. They know what there is to do and where it is at. This trip, they arrive, our room is finally ready, we get unloaded and tell them they should go on over to Epcot (we were staying at Boardwalk and it was getting a little late)...so what does my (nearly)18 year old say?? "Who is going to go with us?" :confused3 Ryne is 20, Mark turned 18 on the trip and Adam (his friend) is 17....this was Adam's 3rd trip with us - so even he was familiar with what there was to do. I wound up having to walk over to Epcot with them, got just past Canada when I heard Off Kilter start playing. I told the boys to go see if they could get Fast Passes for Soarin' then to go to Test Track & Mission Space and I would wait for Dad to finish doing whatever it was he was doing. They do that, then they were back wondering what they should do next :sad2: They did finally figure out how to do things on their own, but I was beginning to wonder if I would be playing tour guide the whold trip. :rotfl:

:rotfl2::rotfl2: My DD is older but a bit wary of going off on her own. She doesn't have the best sense of direction :lmao: so finding her way back might give her a challange.

Chris will make friends anywhere he goes. He has a bit of the explorer in him and a good sense of direction. I bet he would take your boys and show them things they never noticed. :rotfl2:

::yes:: So soon and I am ready. :cool1:

Eight weeks from today for us, and even sooner for you!

That's Drew. He didn't mind going anywhere alone, and he would always come out with a whole crew of new friends. He knows people everywhere we go.

I am almost at a month. :lmao:

Chris has really blossomed into a great young man. A little over confident at times ( what teenaged boy isn't :lmao:) but I am very happy of the way he is taking control of his life and making good decisions.

As we get back to the room we have a surprise. First the maid was in our room. But that was not the surprise I was taking about. It seems I am always lucky with the timing.

2nd surprise- Since I reserved this as a Birthday celebration, we had a car signed by Mickey Mouse in the room. Like a said in the beginning, Chris’ birthday was back in March but since other than summer this was a better time to go considering the school schedule.

We decided to visit the pool.
Love the names of the streets

IMG_7242.jpg

The pool- I bring my mug down for a refill but the pool bar will not refill it , I need to go inside to the food court. So I have to dry off somewhat, slip my sandals on and grab a cover up so go inside the air conditioned food court.
Not horrible since it is so close, but a tad annoying since it seems like everywhere else except maybe POP I could get my mug filled at the pool bar.

So I take the camera and take it all in along the way.

As you can see it was cloudy. We started to get some drizzle, just enough to be annoying and it was time for us to get a move on for dinner so we went back to the room to get ready and head back to the bustop.

The more typical picture of the "back of the boy".

We go through the gift shop and look around.

Guesses???? And another surprise.

Great pictures of the pool, Pat. And it was so nice to see the front side of Chris. ;)

I am going to guess you went to the Studios and ate at Sci Fi.

As you will see there will be many more pictures of the backside of Chris than the front. ;)

Studios was not our destination that night.

 I didn't get the chapter title at first glance, but did during the chapter. Funny!

I recognize that those last couple of pictures are at Wilderness Lodge, so I'm going with Whispering Canyon Cafe.

Chris is all "guy". No offense to all the male readers out there but man, sometimes he has such an ego. :lmao: I take great pleasure in knocking him down a few pegs and humbling him a bit on a regular basis.
You just need to remember that they need to grow up and I am in the advice and guidance phase. I hope I have done my part in providing a great foundation of good decision making and knowing right from wrong and need to let him go make those decisions. I am there for advice and to prompt sometimes but he needs to live with the decisions and choices he makes.

As the mom of two teenage boys, one who is leaving for college in just a few days, I have to agree with this. Very well said. However, If I had a chance to do it all over again there are some things I would have done differently. I was not proactive enough on a couple issues. Live and learn.

Anyway - love your updates. I am taking my DS 17 in December and now I remember that I have to put SOAT on the list. He's never done it and I know it will enjoy it!

They really know how to make a young man's dream come true, don't they???

Ding ding ding we have a winner.:cool2:

Shucks, that's what I was gonna say, too, but I was too busy 'Reepunzel' partying last night to come over here.

Does the winner get a car, by any chance? ;)

Okay, I'm through messin' wif ya this morning. Feel free to come over and make fun of me any time for payback. :thumbsup2

Have a good Sunday! I'm heading back to Nashville early. I have a very large stack of Math diagnostic tests to grade and record, so my partying is coming to an abrupt halt now.

I think we all have those " I wish i would have...." moments. I always joke that my oldest DD was an experiement and we had Chris as a do over. :lmao:

DD is very independent and I actually like that even though it means she needs no one. I can just hope she will continue to make good choices as she moves into adult life. She has her quirks but she was born with those. :lmao:
Lots of guidance since it is hard to guide a stubborn mule. :lmao:

Hopefully coming up I can give you a few more do's and don'ts. :scared1:

:rotfl2::rotfl2: Man that would have been a surprise. Sadly I forgot the "d" but Disney didn't. It was a card

Reepunzel partying sounded like lots of fun. Glenn is going to be bugging me for a car now. :sad2: I am surprised he didn't catch that - he usually does. :lmao:

All in good fun. If I can drop a "d" at least I should make it an important "d".

Safe travels home- I am heading into work later today. I will have a treat after you finish your grading. Trying to move it on some updates.

As for all that homework. :scared::faint:

We are Head to WCC for dinner. We took the bus to MK. It was starting to rain a bit but as it pulled into MK it stopped at the WL stop. Yahoo. We did not have to change buses. We stayed on and the bus continued. I think we made it in record time, which made us early for dinner.
Since we were early I opted to shop.

One that is still on the list. Sorry for the poor picture.

Still time to kill so we head to the arcade. Nothing too exciting in there but the lighting is always different.

Anyone ever see this critter?

He is in here

IMG_7300.jpg

Now I must say- I hate being late. We left POFQ at 4pm. Due to efficient busses we arrived at WL just before 4:30. So much for leave an hour and half to get resort to resort. We could not check in until 5pm and our ADR was at 5:20. If I had to be stuck waiting around, I can think of worse places to be.

Now that we have wandered around the inside, let’s go outside, I think the rain has stopped.

We made our way to the geyser. I was determined to see it go off.

After a bit of waiting – I am finally rewarded.

IMG_7342.jpg

Now I can make my way back into WL to check in.
