Hi everyone. I've been in WDW all summer, but right before school starts (on Monday), I went to DLR for 2 days with one of my friends from home. It was perfect timing. Crowds were really low and hours were long. It was exhausting, but we did so much! It was also my first time back to DLR since all of the new stuff opened in May/June/July.

Notes:
-Rode 56 rides in 2 days. Also had great seats for Aladdin, Soundsational, WoC, Fantasmic and Magical! Used 18 sets of FP. On Tuesday we were there from 8AM-11PM and on Wednesday it was 8AM-12:15AM. Solid 31 hours of Disney!

-Soundsational rocked! And I'm not a big parade fan in general. I had been on Star Tours in FL so that was fun, but not completely new. Goofy's Sky School was better than MM, but not anything to rave about. Love the new Paradise Grill area. It looks so much more classy. Didn't ride Little Mermaid :-)scared1: ) because I'm waiting to ride that for the first time when my gf comes for my birthday in a couple weeks! :lovestruc

-Got the deer (higher than the cat) on Toy Story. It was the best I've ever done. We were also one of the first people to ride it so I got "best of the day" on both days that we were there.

-After being at WDW I noticed a lot of differences. Even the small things like how bottled water is 2.50 in FL and 3 bucks at DLR.

-We were at the front of the rope on our second day and we were the first ones to ride Peter Pan! We are pro-"walkers with purpose" :thumbsup2

-Screamin was down almost all of Wednesday. Also Space broke down really late at night on Wednesday, but they opened it up right before midnight.

-The construction walls around Carthay Circle Theater are kinda a pain, especially when getting out from WoC. We had to go through a Bug's Land and Hollywood Pictures Backlot. It'll be worse when they start rerouting people behind Soarin.

-Got in for free (and my friend) with my CM ID! Although it expires in a month. :(

Pictures!

Wow! Sounds like an amazing trip!
I love the picture from the Flying Zephyr (I think that's what it's called) and Ariel in the parade.

Wow, you did a TON of rides and shows, nice work. I don't think I could go for that many hours straight though... I'm a wuss! Make use of that CM pass as much as you can in the next month :)

Hey kid we could have shook hands on Wednesday rope drop. We were at the rope on the far left!:goodvibes

We decided to walk with purpose to ST to get FPs and then went to PP. We probably passed you there too as you got off.

I am at the D23 Expo and have not had time for a TR. But our experience was much the same. I could not get over how short the wait times were!

Aren't you at the Expo?

Nice pictures! Ariel's costume is different in your pics from the Soundsational parade compared to when I saw it in the beginning of this month (I like her costume in your pics better :)) Glad to hear about short wait times! Sounds like you had a fun 2 days.

Always good to get a report from DLR 29. :hippie:

Great pics (i'm going to miss the Golden Zephyr :().

DLR 29.....were you working this summer at WDW?? Pretty sweet gig. :)

Thanks for posting.

Thanks! I love taking pictures from on rides and from different angles

You must have been a shooting fool on TSM to get that score with that low accuracy. ;):rotfl:

Hahahaha, yes I literally have to stretch before the ride because my triceps get a nice workout from it.! :rotfl:

I definitely will go back at least a couple times before my CM ID expires. After that, I guess I'll have to go back to being a regular guest...well not a regular guest--an entitled AP holder. ;)

NO WAY! Shoot, I'm bummed that we were right there and missed each other. Oh well. We had gotten ST FPs the day before and since it was a non MM day we went straight to PP. And no, I'm not at the expo...I have had a lot of school stuff (clubs and random errands to run) before the school part of school starts on Monday.

Interesting. It was my first time watching it, so I thought it was normal. I'm glad that we watched Soundsational. I've never really been a big parade watcher, but this one was great!

Hound, the Golden Zephyr isn't going anywhere I don't think? :confused3 But yeah, this summer was an incredible time at WDW, swirling that Dole Whip!

The California Zephyr is the one that is going bye-bye. It's the train near the entrance of DCA where Burr-bank Ice Cream was.

The Golden Zephyr (or "Flying Zephyr" as I mistakenly called it) is the ride in Paradise Pier where you sit in a rocket-type vehicle and swing around in circles.
