**2011 Confirmed Snacks/Add yours here**

I was reviewing the list here in my planning and I was so happy to see this being possible; so, I thought. I do believe you can do it as a counter service meal, but not a snack. I think most if not all places have a symbol for a snack next to the item for those items allowed as a snack. If I see the snack symbol for this next to the ham croissant; I will have a debate with the CM about it. I'll report back here in December if there's a snack symbol or not for this item. Thanks for the heads up; I was going to use this for basically the same reason you did. I've seen some other places where soup is allowed as a snack supposedly, but I'm going to be cautious about that, as well, after hearing from you on this one. Going in December can make a bowl of hot soup taste very good, too.

I think the snack item in the park doesn't quite have all the consistency of the other items/meals and it can be different results depending on your CM sometimes.

Boulangerie Patisserie doesn't have anything marked with the snack symbol IIRC, and reports about the ham & cheese croissant have been mixed. I know I've read a time or two that DISers were told it was only available as a CS entree. It seems like some CMs seem to allow it for a snack, others don't. :confused3

The World Showcase as a whole isn't as good about having snacks clearly marked as the rest of WDW. The Kaki-Gori stand didn't have any snack symbols either (though that may have changed with the rehab) and those are consistently allowed.

I leave in 10 days !!Is there anything in particular I can look for !! I will try to take pix with the ddps/c signs on as that is the best way to be sure it is accurate !!!

Hi guys... a first timer here going to Disney (also for the first time)...

just wondering why there are prices in front of all the snack items listed in the OP? Is it just to make you feel good that you did get the dining plan or do you have to pay for this stuff despite having a dining plan?

Sorry, I know this is going to be rated as a stupid/ lame question but I just had to ask...

Most of us like to know the so-called value of our credits; we want to maximize our credits and we will use them for more expensive snacks.

Also, it helps decide if we will use a credit or pay out of pocket sometimes.

If you use your credit on a certified snack then you don't pay.

It is just there for reference/decisionmaking purchases. Many people easily use their one snack per person, per night and then some so it makes sense to use it on the higher-priced items and pay for low-priced things like bottled water out of pocket.

It's fun to maximize your snack credits by using them on higher-priced items, since the range of pricing on a snack item can vary widely. For some it's not just about the snack, but what that snack would have cost you if you paid OOP.

I just wanna say how incredible awesome this thread was!!!!
This was just what I was looking for.
Thanks so much!!

I have a question. I have a lot of disney gift cards that people gave us know ing we were going on this trip. Can I use them at the snack kiosks or restaurants?
Just wondering
Thanks

I have a question - I see some items on the "snack list" from restaurants that are not in the DDP brochure - such as Auntie Gravity's in MK and Fountainview in Epcot. Have there been updates to the restaurants - do more restaurants now accept DDP?

The brochures don't list all the places where you can get snacks with the dining plan credits, because there are too many to list. They only list the quick service and table service restaurants that accept the dining plan.

Which is a reason why the Confirmed Snack Thread is so useful. :-)

Is the Writer's Stop no longer accepting DDP snack credits??

Yes- We love going there and I think it's a treasure. Was just looking around at the menu's on the DIS link above and it has this:

The Writer's Stop
Disney Restaurant Menus
The Writer's Stop Information
Food/Dining Type: Snacks
Meals:
Location: Hollywood Studios / Near Sci-Fi Dine In Theater
Reservations: Not Accepted
Hours: Varies
Disney Dining Plan: NO
DISboards.com: Discuss The Writer's Stop

Great! We had the best snacks there. Was so relaxing.

There is a post in this thread from back in January I think that says the waffles are no longer on the plan yet they are on the acceptable list above. Has anyone been able to get them as a snack on the plan in 2011?
TIA!

Was wondering if anyone has used a snack credit recently Wolfgang Puck's express for soup? When we were there in January we had to pay oop and there was a sign that said that soup was not available on the meal plan. Not even as an entree.

Doesn't look like the waffles are on the DDP any longer. According to the menus I have found the waffles are no longer a SC but the funnel cake, soup (almost everything else) is. If we are in that area in October I plan on checking it out.

Silly first time DDP noob question. I take it since there's a need for this thread that all snack options are not marked as suggested in the 2011 Dining Catalog where it says;

"Look for this symbol to identify Quick-Service restaurants, outdoor food carts and select merchandise locations that accept your Disney
Dining Plan and to identify eligible snack options. You may redeem your snacks at most Quick-Service restaurants, outdoor food carts and
merchandise locations selling frozen ice cream novelties, popcorn or Coca-Cola® products throughout the Walt Disney World® Resort."

I was unaware that there were so many options.

Sooooo my question is, are snacks marked with the appropriate symbol or do I need to print this list, lol. Thanks! :)

If their is NO ddp symbol next to item I suggest you ask , and you may get one answer and someone else another as it varies with the CM!!!!But if it is single serve and under $4 you have a good shot at getting it !!

Both :goodvibes

The labeling is pretty good almost everywhere, but there are some cases where things aren't labeled and this list helps you seek them out and ask. The list also helps you plan specific snacks you may want to help maximize your snack credit value.
