DISmoms 3! If the Tiara fits... 5/13-5/17/11 Complete! 11/8!

Wow ladies! I see I missed a bunch of updates - I don't know why, I guess I just "tuned in" at the wrong time and thought you were all very busy!

Ellen, Congrats to you and Pods on 25 yrs! :yay: Sorry your first celebration got cut short - glad Timmy is okay- and good for you playing catch up the next night!:thumbsup2 The beach house looks like such a nice time, and I remember you talking about Sheree and Henry before - I'm so sorry to hear about Henry's passing. I know you miss him.

Loved all the videos! You girls are so funny:rotfl2:

I will have to remember the boat to DHS from Swolfin - looks much more relaxing!
Kara - love your on the ground photos at RNRC - you are a pro!

Oh, the DISmom ducks need Tiaras!

I can't wait to see what you will do in the rain - with all the photos of Prime Time I was thinking, "hmmm maybe redecorate? I guess that would kind of ruin the theme" :goodvibes

The skies opened up at this point. We were grateful for being in side. Well they were. I have to run over to Star Tours to pick up a souvie for DH. Why would a DisMom do such a thing---well because it was DH birthday and I had a little twang of guilt. While in the store the sky opened up like the behind the scenes tour. No really it was like buckets of water being poured out of the sky. I needed to get back to the tune in lounge and what dis'er would be complete with out the $$store poncho. So out it came and I was a a drowned mom when I got back and of course it stopped raining. I think it may have been the heavens telling me to forget about those at home and enjoy the moment. Wish I would have listened.....LOL
We started to head back to the room as it looked like rain for the rest of the day and we had ressies at Saana that night. Yes it rained again when we got back off of the boat. Really it rained sooooo hard.

Rain is cool... when you are not out in it. ;) Since we also experienced the FL rains during our June visit we now also have a collection of the WDW ponchos, however, after I shelled out the big bucks for them, my too cool for her britches 13 year old would not wear her poncho. Money wasted. :sad2: I bet my students will think it is cool if I wear the poncho to class. The students already think I am a bit nuts (psychology class) so this will just confirm it.

My boys say I'm nuts, too - they feel they had to "explain" me to their wives!:lmao:

I learned from a native after experiencing it, that it rains every afternoon in June there and you just have to expect it. We stock up on the ponchos from the dollar store, carry them in the day bag, and then toss them when we are done - that way we are not trying to dry out or fold up a wet poncho.

Yep you're seeing this right. I'm back!!!

And as if to make up for what a horrible DisMom I am, I updated my Avi finally (I've been meaning to do that ever since I became "official" <----- you likey? ;)

I only had about 10 pages to catch up on, which is good becuase it seems like I had been MIA forevah. I still have about 20 pgs of yours to read Kara, which is why I saved it for last. It will probably take me 2 or 3..or 4... days to read all of that! :lmao:

Anyhoo..on to random comments since there was just waaaay too much to quote:

-BWV is so nice! You room is lovely and the view! Oh wow, that view....

-You "GO GIRL"...lmao, I need to get one of those for Sarah apparently. She was totally completely potty trained, no accidents, even overnight and so after our stay at Bonnet Creek we decided to take away her little pink princess potty as soon as we got home (since she did so well on the BIG potty all week), and then guess what? Now all of a sudden she is peeing on the floor in FRONT of the potty. She claims it is too hard to get up there. Sigh. (but she has no problem with #2.....thankfully. I have exactly 2 months to get her back on track. But I guess anyone be mad if they lost their pretty pink princess plays-music-when-you-pee throne, eh?)

-Groupies! I LOVE IT! :worship:

-That $30 antipasti plate at Tutto Italia...omgoodness...Before I looked a thte picture I was like...what? $30 and then I looked at it and ...yup..about right I'd pay it!

-Sangria at the pizza window..oh wow..I didn't know that either!

-Oh Drea...you just don't know how belated Lonnie's birthday was. :rotfl2:

-Hahahaha, the trick with Laura (not)puking on TT! Hilarious! I swear you guys are just too much fun! "All the single Barfers" oh wow....won't ever think of that song the same now. And when I hear it ad nauseum at all of the dance comeptitions I'll be laughing and thinking of you gals!!
)

-Was Evie behind me doing her thing at Hacienda?? I kept wondering why everyone was hanging behind us....

-Poor Timmy....he just is a glutton for punishment.. first this hand, now his head. What is this baseball insurance you speak of? I think Ron must not have had any when he got clocked in the head at batting practice because we are trying to fight with them over the immensely inflated $800 to go 1/2 a mile ambulance bill. But I digress...
His eyebrow slice isn't too far removed from where Ron's is. Does Timmy have Vanilla Ice eyebrows now? LOL Sorry about your anniversary round 1 but round 2 looks just divine. And I'm so sorry for Sheree. Tragic.

-Brekkie at Kouzzina, mmmmmm. Gained 5 lbs just looking. I'm not huge on eggs so at first I was thinking I was glad that wasn't the meal I decided to join you on...but then I saw those gorgeous waffles. I would kill somebody for some of those I think.

-You got to draw POOH! And you are all so good at it. Admit it, you've all drawn POOH before! If not that you've at least had some PRACTICE WITH POOH. NO?

-I feel for the lady in the socks. Yes, there has been more than one occasion that I have been the victim of improper footwear in WDW, so I can sympathize. We saw several ladies in impossible heels this last trip though. Why in the world anyone would want to wear 4 inch spikes to Epcot is beyond me.

-The rain at DHS? I don't remember rain that day. Oh wait unless that was Friday (?) the day you ate dinner at Sanaa, it did rain quite a bit that day!

-Kara the photographer, love how you hit the floor for the RNRC shot. The best part is the guy in the background turned around thinking "Is she really laying on the ground?" LOL!

-Laura, sorry you got caught in the downpour. So this *was* Sanaa day. OK. Yes that rain threw off all of our party plans at AKL. We were just going to have cake and presents by the pool but instead we had to do it at one of the overlooks off the lobby. (Oh did people think we were strange for setting up a little birthday party there. Or maybe they just thought we were genius. Who knows. ;)

Yay! Caught up! Bring it on!

PS- who wants to be my roomie on the cruise? I'll even take the bunk! :rolleyes1 (no promises yet, i'm working on slooooowly but surely convincing Ron and the kids to let me go. Ron is really resistant but maybe....just maybe...:thumbsup2 But if I can convince them I will have to go as cheaply as possible. So who wants to put up the homeless gal? :lmao:

Shut the front door!!!!! I mean, shut the Dream stateroom door!!! Really???? We can get how many in one room? The more we pile in the cheaper it will be because the pp price goes down after 2, right? So we get 4 in there and divide the total by 4??? Oh, Jen, you need to come!!!!

Well, the other bar we usually hit at HS is back by the backlot tour. They have wine and beer, and I think some specialty drinks. I know my younger daughter likes a drink there called a fireball, non-alcoholic since she is only 15, that she always wants to get while we are there. Yay, something for all of us! :thumbsup2

....I FINALLY found you:goodvibes.

Gettin' caught up on yuz and yer trip report. :woohoo:

P.S. you had asked me a few months ago about Ireland.....well - it was a total blast!! Had lots of fun.

T.T.F.N.

I have never been to the Tune In Lounge, but I am sure your cocktails (which I can't view now) were fabulous!!!!! Sounds like you are off to a wonderful day - a great breakfast (and sangria), lots of fun rides, a little drawing, and back to drinking! Great day!

Shut the front door!!!!! I mean, shut the Dream stateroom door!!!
Hahah! That's what Savannah says all the time!!:lmao:

Really????

welllllll........

We can get how many in one room? The more we pile in the cheaper it will be because the pp price goes down after 2, right? So we get 4 in there and divide the total by 4???

hehe, that's what *I* was thinking...:rolleyes1 I'm concerned about availability though, does anyone actually have it booked yet? I read somewhere in a press release about the booking percentages on DCL (all ships, not just the Dream are like in the 80 and 90% booked range for like 2 years out.:scared1:

Oh, Jen, you need to come!!!!

I couldn't agree more! :rotfl2: I would love it, so, so much. :cutie: Ron will be tough cookie to crack but the more reasonable the price, the more likely I will be to get his blessing to go. I was even thinking maybe they could take a real cheap cruise that same weekend while I'm gone, like a Carnival or maybe even the little RCCL ship that goes out of PC. If I can keep my budget for the cruise under $1000 with fare and onboard spending together then it's doable.

(I know, I know....just $1K...won't the bar bill alone be that much?)

Can you imagine 4 of us in one lil stateroom though?

:yay::eek::cloud9::rotfl::cutie::scared::upsidedow:cool2:

What's this? DISmom groupies - count me in! :rotfl2:

What can I say about your drinks - they are all sooooo colorful! Did you plan that? Come on - tell the truth!

Good morning everyone! I hope it is cooler where you are than where I am. Since we do not normally have hot weather except for a few days a year and since we live in an old, old house we have one small AC window unit used for the upstairs bedrooms at night. I have spent the last few days working in the basement, just to keep semi-cool, and because it needs cleaning. :laundy:

Counting in MEK!

Welcome back, Tammie- I really need to catch up on your thread! It was so funny meeting that couple at the DISmeet last week- I was very jealous they have met you and I still have not!
Really good chatting with you last night- can't wait to get my Arbonne! And I really wish they would bring back that 15 sunscreen!!

I keep some in my Owners Locker- but no one in my family will wear it except for me!

Tiaras and drinks!

PERFECT!!!!!

Yep you're seeing this right. I'm back!!!

I'm so glad!!! :goodvibes

And as if to make up for what a horrible DisMom I am, I updated my Avi finally (I've been meaning to do that ever since I became "official" <----- you likey? ;)

-BWV is so nice! You room is lovely and the view! Oh wow, that view....

Yea- I got BWV points to use for another place to stay near EPCOT, mostly to take advantage of the Standard views- they are sooo cheap point wise. But now? That BW view has spoiled me!

Oh man- she is soooooo a third child!! They are always the most entertaining, I think!

-Groupies! I LOVE IT! :worship:

Yea- we LOVE our groupies!!

-That $30 antipasti plate at Tutto Italia...omgoodness...Before I looked a thte picture I was like...what? $30 and then I looked at it and ...yup..about right I'd pay it!

It was worth $5pp before the TIW.:thumbsup2

-Sangria at the pizza window..oh wow..I didn't know that either!

Looking forward to paying a visit next November!

-Oh Drea...you just don't know how belated Lonnie's birthday was. :rotfl2:

Not so belated- just a couple of weeks-

-Hahahaha, the trick with Laura (not)puking on TT! Hilarious! I swear you guys are just too much fun! "All the single Barfers" oh wow....won't ever think of that song the same now. And when I hear it ad nauseum at all of the dance comeptitions I'll be laughing and thinking of you gals!!

I have to say...that was really funny!

Noooo....

-Poor Timmy....he just is a glutton for punishment.. first this hand, now his head. What is this baseball insurance you speak of? His eyebrow slice isn't too far removed from where Ron's is. Does Timmy have Vanilla Ice eyebrows now? LOL Sorry about your anniversary round 1 but round 2 looks just divine. And I'm so sorry for Sheree. Tragic.

The league that they are in has its own insurance- all leagues do, some are better than others. Ron should contact the head of his league.

NO?

No prior experience, any of us.

No rain on Friday- it rained Saturday, that was the day you did the cake. We met you on Sunday.

-Kara the photographer, love how you hit the floor for the RNRC shot. The best part is the guy in the background turned around thinking "Is she really laying on the ground?" LOL!

she's very talented, our little Kara Jean...

-Laura, sorry you got caught in the downpour. So this *was* Sanaa day. OK. Yes that rain threw off all of our party plans at AKL. I'm SO so sorry we already have four in our cabin!! :sad1: But PLEEEEZ work on Ron and another roomie!:thumbsup2

Good hearing your voice yesterday!! :flower3:

I know my younger daughter likes a drink there called a fireball, non-alcoholic since she is only 15, that she always wants to get while we are there. Yay, something for all of us! :thumbsup2

P.S. you had asked me a few months ago about Ireland.....well - it was a total blast!! Had lots of fun.

T.T.F.N.

Hey there! I didn't know you were looking for us! We weren't hiding, I swear!

Glad you had a great adventure in Ireland- our friends are going on the Castle adventure in Germany next month- SO JEALOUS!!!! One day I need to book an ABD....

I have never been to the Tune In Lounge, but I am sure your cocktails (which I can't view now) were fabulous!!!!! Sounds like you are off to a wonderful day - a great breakfast (and sangria), lots of fun rides, a little drawing, and back to drinking! Great day!

We didn't order that way on purpose- but it sure was purty!:cutie:

Hahah! That's what Savannah says all the time!!:lmao:

welllllll........

hehe, that's what *I* was thinking...:rolleyes1 I'm concerned about availability though, does anyone actually have it booked yet? :yay::eek::cloud9::rotfl::cutie::scared::upsidedow:cool2:

There is still an inside porthole available - HURRY!!!!!!

I personally plan on two of us showering at the gym/spa bathroom every night. :thumbsup2 Those showers are soooo much nicer, anyway.

Oh how far behind I am.....Yes Kouzzina was awesome. I loved my waffle. I am a fan of sweet vs savory although the marscapone cheese helped cut the sweet just a bit. Really we have women stop us and give us high fives for taking the time for ourselves. We did have the fuddy duffy couple behind us. They definately were not morning people. I did learn one thing this week, always have your camera out as you never know when a photo opportunity would present itself.
Yes walking over the swalphin was a great idea because it burned off that breakfast and let us chat more. :) Really we all got a long wonderfully. Pulling into HS on the boat was great. No lines and right on to RnRC. This is one of my favorite rides. I love a good rock song and a loopy roller coaster--heck yes! We did sing single rider song as we blew thru the queue. Seriously it is the only way to do a ride. We went so fast one time we never saw the opening movie..We did do it two times in a row, then over to TOT. Now I had my 3 year old ride this last fall so my last ride was not to enjoyable. She loved it but I was terrifed that she was going to fly out. But this time no worries, we only on how many times we would get dropped. My little camera didn't do the photo justice but Kara's shows Joan's and my hair flying up. Laughed the whole time.
The art of animation was a great break from the adventure. I never knew how easy it was to draw. My girls are still amazed that I drew winnie. Now i have a future in all drawing at our house and face painting...but that is another tail.
Oh Ellen--One man's dream.....that was a killer no matter who you are. I cried. don't know why but it just moved me. Loved all the inspirational quotes. Glad I had tissues but we don't dwell on tears for too long as it was off to the bar!!!!
I have the collection of those light up cubes. I do think mine as a mowie wowie. Very yummy!

Hi Laura!

I have to say, it was not my first time crying in that movie- it really just makes you say, "Thanks GOD for Walt, who made allllll this happiness possible for soooo many of us. " Ya gotta love a man with a great dream....:lovestruc

I'm glad we have a pic of you with a drink- at least one of us knows what she had!

Good morning, Ellen! It was fun to put faces to the DISmeet names for the cruise. We didn't "hang out" with many, except our tablemates that we had arranged ahead of time. Jim is just not the "meetin' and greetin' " type :rotfl2: If it happens by accident - well, that is another story.

It was nice talking with you, too. Sorry I was busy, but I guess you were too. How did the game end up? I will FB you after I've had coffee ;) I want that sunscreen too!:headache: I think we should email them and get lots of others too, also. Thanks for your order!

Hmmm...2 guesses what DISmoms do in the rain.....

IMG_1591.jpg

Duh.....

Actually, we also watched a MOVIE- it was a KARA production- well, of COURSE it was HILARIOUS!!! It was from our last DISmom trip in 2010- and she had a DVD for all of us repeater- DISmoms.

Thank-you, Kara Jean. :lovestruc

IMG_1597.jpg

After that, we watched her cruise video once or twenty times....:rolleyes1 Which was also VERY entertaining ( I see an Oscar in this girl's future- or at LEAST a Rotten Tomato award!).....the first 12 times.....:rolleyes1
