what night to eat at Pala

We are cruising on a 4 night in Oct. I would love to have brunch at Palo, but it is already booked, but dinner is available. Which night should I choose cheer2:which night do I not want to miss in the dinner rotation?), or should I just not book at all? Can't wait!!!

Have you sailed before? If not, why not just enjoy your regular rotation this time? Especially since this is just a 4 night cruise. You may be able to snag a Palo brunch reservation once on board. This way you can get the full effect of the rotation and save Palo dinner until your next cruise.

If you are on Itinerary A (PC/Nassau/CC/Sea) book night three as that is Pirate Night and a repeat restaurant all with the same menu. That way you won't miss the three restaurants with their specific menus.

ALSO, if you have late dining, you should book your Palo a little earlier than that time (7PM ish?) so you can be all done and change into more casual clothes and hit the pirate party!

If you don't want to miss all of the main dining, I would suggest trying to book brunch at Palo's. Its during the afternoons on sea days.

Thanks to all of you, we sailed on the 7 night magic and could not get reservations while on board. Maybe we will have better luck this time with brunch. I can't remember... if we eat dinner at Palo at 6 on pirate night, do we just make sure that the kids have been fed or will the cast members take the children to eat.

You kids can go to the dining room at your regular meal time, if they are of an age that you are comfortable with them moving around the ship on their own. Your servers will pretty much insist the kids come to dinner with them when you tell them your Palo plans! But no cast member will be escorting your children to the dining room for their regular meal time. However, the kids can eat in the club, but someone else will need to explain how that works. I think they would have more fun in the regular dining room on pirate night though!

Just off the Dream and the food and service in Palo was so significantly better than the main dining rooms I would highly recommend it. We never miss it regardless of what ship we sail. As our kids got older they would go to the main dining rooms without us.

I would pick Palo over the main dining room any night. Made-to-order food, intimate quiet setting, great service and everything is delicious.

When we go to Palo, we usually have our daughter eat something from one of the quick service places up on deck (Pizza, sandwich) and then she goes to the kids club. She is not a great eater, so she doesn't feel like she is missing out on anything. (obviously, that will vary on the child).

Brunch on Palo is wonderful. When you board, go to the designated place and see if anything has opened up. They often still have space. And keep calling or checking with concierge, as people will cancel and spots will be available.

What we did was, we took a look at the different menus (for the regular menus, you can view them on the DCL site. For the special menus, I just googled "Disney Cruise Menu" and found ALL of the recent menus for all of the ships for all nights). Then, we picked the menu we both liked the least and went with that. I'd choose the menu you don't like, and if it's a regular dining room menu (i.e. not Pirate Night), then call DCL and ask that you be put on the rotation that has ________ restaurant on the ____ night.
