I am trying to get from DTD to the Poly. I get on the bus and as it makes it S L O W way to the Poly.



I land at the Poly by 8:37pm. Yikes but in time. A stop here.

I have enough time to get my drink and find my lounge chair. I have 8 minutes to spare.

I must have stuck around on the beach waiting for Summer Nightastic Fireworks again. I just enjoyed the show having taken pictures the night before.
I walk around the Poly lobby – Little did I know this would be beneficial later on.

I make my way to the monorail station but stop for this… and to giggle

I thought you would like it!!! After reading your relapsing, I realized that is exactly what I was doing at that moment.


That trip to the Poly was not agonizing but by looking at time stamps it did take quite a while.

For me it is part of the experience. Sure, if I am in a bit of rush to get somewhere it can be frustrating but I think now it is a sign that I need to slow down and enjoy the journey.

We've not seen the water parade since we stayed at the Poly back in 2004.

It is my MUST do every trip. The Poly beach is so nice at night and I know it starts exactly at 9 so I can time it right and it brings back the memory of my first trip and the surprise at finding this little gem.

I finally had full success and had my fill of EWP and Fireworks. I jump on the monorail and I head here.

Just in time for the late parade.

There were girls next to me who would yell every time one of the moving characters came by. This would make them come closer. I endured the "LADYBUG COOOOME HERE" "TURTLE COOOMMMMEEEE HERE"

I must be tired. What a stinky score. I think I had a bad gun, yah that's it a bad gun .... again.

I head out at 1:20 am and am back in my bed at 1:48. This time the bus music was a mix of Bob Dylan,the Theme to cheers , Diamonds are a girls best friend and then … the Macarena??? At 1:20 am ??? Of course the people in the bus could not resist and there were a couple doing it.

Another wonderful day.

Next up my last full day.

Great update, Pat. I think we outgrew the "whole part of the experience" after too many of those bus trips with strollers and little kids.

You got some great pics of the Electrical Parade; I really hope we can see it this year because we missed it last year.

I have had some of those trips too. Maybe that's why I like the Boadwalk resorts, only busses to 2 parks or 1 if I really want to avoid it.


I will admit I had some of the best bus service at POP and I really like the music and with no sharing (for now) I was very pleased.


My summer getaway is almost over but we are not done yet.

Although I have enjoyed seeing MSEP, I'm ready for Spectro to return. I miss my Spectro music.

I enjoy the Spectro music too, but I am not sure if I am ready to see MSEP go just yet.

I call that Alphabet soup. Teaching for the American Red Cross we have so many acronyms that it becomes silly. I am an IT teaching WSI & LGI for the GCC ARC.

I've yet to take advantage of MK EMH's I'm always too beat to try, I've gotta remedy that!

Evening EMH rock. The park usually becomes more peaceful and if you can hang long enough it is empty towards the end of it. Summertime is great because while it may not get cool at least the sun isn't beating down on you.

I am glad you liked them. I have seen them from the train station, on Main street and then just over the bridge towards Liberty Square. Each spot has its own merits. I hope you get to stay up late and enjoy!!!
