Who are the Head Servers on Dream right now?

We had Gabor from Hungary as our head server on the Dream June 3rd-7th. He was fantastic. Does anybody know his last name?

Apparently, I am doomed to unremarkable Head Servers. I put in a request for Simone (from Italy) and got someone else (I saw Simone onboard so I'm not sure why my request was disregarded). I meant to go check when I boarded, but things got too crazy! We did end up loving our servers, so I guess I can't complain too much. But I was looking forward to seeing if a Head Server could be a difference maker. Quite frankly, I found our Head Server to be irritating and creepy (dirty jokes, etc - I'm no prude, but how did he know that??)!

We had Erasmo from Chile on the June 7-12 Dream. DW said he reminded her of Mr. Roarke from Fantasy Island. We only saw him on the second, third, and fourth nights. I had to find him myself on the last night to deliver the tip envelope. I know I don't know all the head servers do, but he didn't add or detract much from our experience.

We had Erasmo from Chile back in March... he was unremarkable at best. His personality came off kind of slimy. That was when we saw him... He came over for the first two nights of the cruise, and then disappeared. We also had a problem finding him to deliver our tips. Our assistant server had to hunt him down, and when he finally came over to our table, he was irritated about it. I cut him some slack because it was one of his first cruises as head server, but it seems like he hasn't changed much. :confused3

Slimy would be a great word to describe our HS, too. But it was not Erasmo, it was Faisal.
Honestly, I'm not sure what some head servers do that is so different than others, but some people on the DISboards positively GUSH about their HSs. I was hoping to see what all the fuss was about, but to no avail!

We had Erasmo as a server in 2007, we talked to him on our recent Dream Cruise and he told us that he cam back just for the Dream and was having a difficult time adjusting to the new position on a new ship.

We also saw Ronald who was our head server in 2007 and we had a nice chat with him onboard the Dream.

Our Head server was Mark from The Philippines and he came by our table every night and was GREAT! pirate:

Don't know who our head server was on the May 22 '11 Dream. He was medium height and had brownish hair. He never introduced himself, only announced our table number to whoever was seating us and only showed up at our table on the last evening for his tip - which he didn't get.
On our Wonder cruise in May 2010, we had Ali. Now he was a great head server. He stopped at the table each evening to make sure everything was to our likeing. He is now "head" in Palo on the Dream. He stopped by our table at Palo Brunch to check on us and said that we looked familiar, he was sure he had taken care of us before. The Dream needs more like him.

Which Ali? do you know? I am hoping it is "our" Ali and we can request him and hoping he will be there in December. "our" Ali is marrried to Laura.

Newbydisney: This Ali was a little older than most of the other head servers. He is a type of man who has a "presence" about him, one of those men who gives an appearance of being strong, knowing how to take care of things. Dark hair, medium height, slightly stocky build, but not heavy by any means.
He was in charge of the servers at Palo on the Dream. He was not in the regular dining rooms.

We had Simone from Italy on our May 29th Dream and he was excellent. This was our 4th cruise and I can honestly say I was never impressed with the HS in the past. We always gave the recommended, but wasn't always real sure why. Our first cruise we never even spoke to the guy until the last night.

Simone was so totally different. We had some minor issues the first night with a brand new server and an asst server in her 2nd month. Nothing huge, but we never received our soups and they never exchanged our salad/appy silverware for the dinner. We are not picky people. We noticed, but wouldn't have done anything about it.

Simone sent us a plate of chocolate covered strawberries to our stateroom the next day along with a personal note apoligizing for any issues the previous night. When we arrived for dinner on night 2, he had moved our table under an experienced server on his team to reduced the number assigned to the new server. In addition, he came and spoke to our family every single meal. I not only gave him the recommended amount, but a bonus. Our 2nd server was Vanja and she was just excellent.

He told us he hadn't decided whether he would be going to the Fantasy yet.

We love Ali, he's been our favorite for years. He was an excellent Head Server, we were always really well taken care of. Ali's an "above and beyond" kind of person, he remembers EVERYTHING from year to year, right down to everyones's favorite foods. As an FYI to the person wondering about him, he's Turkish but resides in Florida. PP described him perfectly. His wife's name isn't Laura. I have heard that there's another Ali out there, a Server maybe? not positive.

We had Faisal too, and I agree - not my favorite.

We did a b2b, and had Gabor on the second leg. Much better!

We've had Simone as our Head Server on more than one occasion. The first time, we were talking to him about the DVC member cruise and how to go about getting a bunch of us on the same dining rotation. He gave us an email for someone that could help and it turned out to be the perfect person.

We sailed again, not long after that and realized that he was still onboard, but we had booked a last minute FL resident rate, so the only thing left was Late dining. We had run into him right after boarding up in the buffet and mentioned that we needed to run and see if we could get our dining changed to early. He said, no worries, and said he'd do what he could to get us switched. By the time the lifeboat drill was done, we had a message in our cabin that Simone had gotten us moved (into one of his sections too).

He also realized that one of my DHs very favorite things is escargot. We had escargot at our table every single night, complements of Simone!

He really is an outstanding guy and I really hope that we can have him as our Head Server in September.

I think you're confused...that describes Kurlei to a Tee!!!

;)

Has anyone seen Deniz from Turkey or is he still on the Wonder? He was my head server on both of my Wonder cruises and was wonderful! On the first cruise, I was traveling with a vegetarian and he arranged for some wonderful off-menu vegetarian dishes for her. On the second, I was with my entire family (12, including 4 children) and he made everyone feel special. I'm hoping to see him on the Dream in January or on the Fantasy for PCC4.0.
