Most Expensive / Moist Exhausting Continued - Final thoughts and wrap-up

Actually, that picture was taken right after Claire de Lune planted a big, wet, sloppy kiss on my boyfriend's Dad's cheek. He looks pretty happy, right? :rotfl:

Yes he does. And with good reason, apparently!

And thanks for the washboard! It sure came in handy :thumbsup2

No problem, I'm glad you got it.

Hey there Glenn,
I know I've posted on and off on this TR, but I wanted you to know how much I enjoyed reading this. You have a skill for crafting a great story. Your children are awesome and Judy, well she's married to you so she has to be pretty awesome herself!:goodvibes

Thank you so much for sharing this experience with us, I look forward to the next one!

Thanks Sheresa, I appreciate it! :)

yeah you should have seen marvs texts when i told him we went to the nudie beach...i thought my phone was going to explode.

I believe that!

Yeah, right! I still have that series of text messages in my phone. Shall I post them verbatim and bore everyone to tears???

ouch, that hurts a little.

Okay, when're the beans going to be spilt on this?

Yikes! Two updates since my last visit to the boards :guilty: Both really really great glennbo123... relaxing... I mean relapsing by the pool and waiting in the airport have never been so exciting :lmao:

Trib! :cool1: I was just thinking earlier today that I haven't seen you around in a while.

Okay, okay, I'm dragging the ending out a little. It's hard to make a non-park day exciting.

Hoping to see the last updates and promising to be around more often :worship:

Yes. (That'll help take Glenn's TR out in a blaze of glory!)

*** This is the last update for the “Judy-do Game.” There will be 3 successive posts. Please submit your responses with the post number (ie. 1, 2, and 3; and which pictures in the post you see Judy. For example: Post 1 – pictures 1, 2, etc.; Post 2 – pictures…; Post 3 – pictures… you get the idea). ***

When I ended my last trip report, I finished off with several chapters of my favorite pictures from the trip. I organized them into separate chapters called “Greatest Hits” (volumes 1 and 2), “Photopass”, “Food Porn”, and “Outtakes”. This time around, I think I’ll do it in one big, multi-post chapter. Kind of like, what would the trip report have been like if I hadn’t gotten all “wordy”. You may be thinking that this time around I just don’t have the gumption to get all organized like last time. Well….I’m having a hard time arguing with that one, so perhaps you’re right. Or, maybe you’re wishing that I’d started with this chapter and saved you from all of that reading. But then you would have missed that whole paragraph on laundry, which got such rave reviews in all of the comments.

Anyway, let’s get started.

Who can forget the “Randall-from-Survivor-looking-guy” who secretly put up bunny ears behind Marlene while she was putting up Mickey Mouse ears behind her mom? It was only the bus ride from the airport parking lot to the airport, and we were still nearly a thousand miles from Walt Disney World, but it signaled the start of the fun. I just noticed a Disney World luggage tag on the right side of the picture. That’s not our luggage, so probably “Randall” was heading to the same place we were, and was in just as good a mood.

Here’s the photo that launched a game for our trip report: Where’s Judy-do?

IMG_2504.jpg

After watching this feeding frenzy, Glennbo realized that he’d be getting no leftovers.

IMG_2509.jpg

James, the volleyball stud.

IMG_2519.jpg

Candi greatly improved a picture of Dan and Glennbo.

IMG_2524.jpg

Yeehaa Bob made the rounds before his show and met the kids.

IMG_2525.jpg

IMG_2526.jpg

The photo of our little group from Bob’s website.

YeehaaBob06_12_10.jpg

Here we are with Mr. Potatohead.

IMG_2583.jpg

James and I got to meet the guy inside the big, furry Chewbacca costume: the less-furry, but still big Peter Mayhew

IMG_2594.jpg

I took this picture of Ray Park (who played Darth Maul), not knowing how it would make my female trip report readers swoon.

IMG_2595.jpg

Glennbo shows off “the crane”.

IMG_2603.jpg

We enjoyed watching the movie screen at Sci-Fi Dine-in.

IMG_2615.jpg

The beautiful and vivacious Dorma Nesmond didn’t even try to hide how smitten she was with Glennbo.

IMG_2668.jpg

Indiana Jones was a hit. (No, that’s not an Italian impression.)

IMG_2761.jpg

Aerosmith arranged a limo ride for Lauren and me.

IMG_2803.jpg

And we took some photopass pictures along Sunset Blvd.

Photo0395.jpg

During a quick trip to the Poly, we mailed some coconuts for Father’s Day.

IMG_2816.jpg

Lauren couldn’t resist this man in uniform, even though he was plastic and had unusually flat feet.

IMG_2818.jpg

We discovered what all the hoopla was about during Star Wars weekends.

IMG_2857.jpg

Marlene transformed into a “rocker chick”.

IMG_2870.jpg

This bellhop made our elevator ride extra-special creepy, but in a good way.

IMG_2873.jpg

PChef painted the kingdom red.

IMG_2899.jpg

Marlene found someone to pick on.

IMG_2960.jpg

At Biergarten, I got this yummy plate of food and a beer flight, minus one sip.

Test Track whipped our hair back and forth.

IMG_2987.jpg

The girls tried out for PChef Idol, and while they didn’t make the show, they did get some encouragement and some swag.

IMG_3003.jpg

Our first time visiting a Disney waterpark, Typhoon Lagoon.

Photo0605.jpg

The sea was angry that day my friends.

Photo0645.jpg

Our PChef star.

IMG_3090.jpg

The PChef Idol warm-up guy was worth the price of admission. (The fact that it was free should in no way affect that compliment.)

IMG_3106.jpg

Here’s the contestant we rooted for, the husband of one of Judy’s consultants.

IMG_3126.jpg

I liked this photo of “The Hat”.

IMG_3173.jpg

And we watched some fireworks over the hat, not knowing that they’d be the only fireworks we’d see that week.

IMG_3174.jpg

My idea of an appetizer at Whispering Canyon Café: milkshakes.

IMG_3244.jpg

And then you need something to wash-down the milkshake. How about the famous Whispering Canyon Café skillet?

IMG_3251.jpg

We checked into Kidani and greeted our neighbors.

IMG_3298.jpg

The girls during a “paws” on Expedition Everest. Scaling the foribidden mountain was a “big feet”. “Yeti”, I digress.

IMG_3328.jpg

We had an encounter with someone who was obviously a plant.

IMG_3343.jpg

I got some pretty good gorilla pictures. I mean, the pictures were good…I can’t speak regarding the behavior of the gorillas. They were after all, gorillas.

IMG_3358.jpg

The Tree of Life was a nice background for some photopass pictures.

Photo0749.jpg

I took a million pictures during the Nemo show but fear not, I whittled it down to just one for this retrospective.

IMG_3462.jpg

I finally got a good picture of the lion on the safari! (Did I ever tell you about the time I shot a tiger in my pajamas?)

IMG_3507.jpg

We got to meet Cherie Blueyedgirl, her hubby, and son at Kidani’s Community Hall.

IMG_3544.jpg

The dishwashers had their work cut out for them at Boma, as I went through several plates and countless soup bowls.

IMG_3566.jpg

This quaint little spot with its rocking chairs looks so inviting at Kidani.

IMG_3595.jpg

Oh yeah…remember when Glennbo became TRON?

IMG_3619.jpg

Marlene toured with me around the World Showcase. Here she is in a UK phone booth, before several attempts to get passers-by to answer the phone.

IMG_3728.jpg

Marlene and her new beret made quite an Impression in France.

IMG_3735-1-1.jpg

Answer this aloud for me: Where am I?

Marlene and Glennbo paused for a photopass picture in Morocco.

Photo0799.jpg

Glennbo hoped that Judy would get a chance to see Voices of Liberty.

IMG_3747-1-1-1.jpg

I found one happy terra cotta warrior, who I’ll forever call “the smiling guy”.

IMG_3757.jpg

The Boardwalk was beautiful at night.

IMG_3839.jpg

Kidani’s savanna made a nice panorama.

IMG_3874Stitch.jpg

A word of advice: On Spaceship Earth, remember that there are no “re-do” opportunities for the picture.

IMG_3909.jpg

The World Showcase made a nice panorama too, even if it didn’t rhyme nearly as well as “savanna”.

IMG_3919Stitch.jpg

The whole family toured the World Showcase on a “do over” day.

IMG_3953.jpg

Grey Goose Slushie, meet Glennbo. Glennbo, meet Grey Goose Slushie.

IMG_3958.jpg

The more rockin’ phone call!

IMG_3969.jpg

James was intrigued by the storyteller/professional wrestler in Japan.

IMG_4015.jpg

The girls were excited to pick a pearl, and had a hard time leaving their new rings in the boxes.

IMG_4024.jpg

We Hoop’d it up.

IMG_4080.jpg

A couple of the Hoop characters: Six Bits and Jim Handy.

IMG_4092.jpg

Marlene “nose” good BBQ sauce when she tastes it.

IMG_4100.jpg

James was an immediate virtuoso washboard player, with absolutely no prior instruction or training!

IMG_4139.jpg

Six Bits drummed us out of the show.

IMG_4143.jpg

Ah yes, the cowboy picture. How could we forget that?

IMG_4145.jpg

Marlene enjoyed the pool.

IMG_4166.jpg

And James made a splash.

IMG_4169.jpg

And then we went home.

But wait! I have a couple of new pictures for you…ones that didn’t previously appear in the trip report.

Here someone photobombed our Photopass session in Japan. It’s a shame too, because these would have been great pictures otherwise.

Candisquint-1.jpg

Candisquint-2.jpg

And to show you how Marlene wore her new beret everywhere after she bought it:

I gave up on the Judy contest a long time ago. But I thorougly enjoyed seeing some of your favorite pictures of your trip. You have a beautiful family and I truly enjoyed reliving your journey with you. Thank you for letting me come along on the ride.

Okay I went back and actually READ all 3 posts.

Great retrospective Glenn! Some of those pictures have me laughing all over again... You're in Morocco :lmao: What a great TR! I really really enjoyed it and am sad it's over. Another subscription bites the dust..... :sad2: Well... not right away of course but sooner or later!

Does this mean it's over :'(

I like the wrap up, I think I was actually able to read all the chapters!

That's okay...I like real comments even more than reading something like "6 Judys!"

Perfect! A player and a commentor.

Thanks Jenbear. The trip did have an end, so the report has to also, I'm sad to say.

Does this mean it's over :'(

I've committed myself to writing one more "wrap up" post, although I have no idea what I'm going to say yet!

I like the wrap up, I think I was actually able to read all the chapters!

See, that was the whirlwind tour!

18 Judy's

I compared your answer to the slip of paper the Rules Committee handed me, and I checked it over like I was verifying a lottery ticket. All your numbers match!

Marv won this round! :cheer2:

Jenbear was missing that elusive Judy in Post 1, picture 3. Judy is behind the "feeding frenzy".

Completely enjoyed the photo documentary of your whole trip! Brought back some great memories from your trip! Have to get to Yeehah Bob and Hoop de Doo one day!!!

If I ever get around to finishing my TR maybe I will do the same thing with mine. By that time the pics will all seem new to everyone...... :rotfl:

Didn't believe I actually saw this when it hadn't been up so long that there were already 5 or 6 correct answers. Then I didn't think I would ever get my answer together since I kept getting the dreaded "red X" instead of the photos. :sad2:

The funny thing is I remember most of those photos with Judy in them EXCEPT the feeding frenzy one that Jenbear missed....... Had to double check what she was wearing in the first picture before I was sure. The Judy in the distance at the food spread in Picture 2 was an easy one since it was the motivation for me to come up with the contest. :)

We didn't talk about Judy hiding behind there since we weren't playing the game yet at that point. I saw it when I was picking pictures for this retrospective and thought "Oh, that's a good one!" Although I was going to include it anyway for the feeding frenzy aspect.

Oh well I tried. And yet, I would've double and triple checked until only an hour ago I discovered ants infesting my room. So the last little while has been spent vacuuming my floor and emptying out the floor in my closet. Not fun
