Korissa's ~MAGICAL-AMAZING~ 10 day MAW/GKTW Adventure!! Discovery Cove day started

wow you got great photos of the rays....I couldn't get any good photos and Megan was freaking out about them and the water being soooooo cold, so we only stayed a couple minutes...
the boards have been a bit wonky the last couple of days

I thought it was pretty cool. I like how they feel. The water was cold, but you get use to it.

Kris, can I just say that you were brave to go into the sting ray pool? I think I would be like Megan - freaked out! The pictures of the sting rays came out nice and so did the fishes.

Hope the Dis boards are working better for you next time!

It was really neat to be able to be in the water with them. I loved how they went between the legs. Korissa was in there almost the whole time.

Those are awesome pictures, but no way could you get me in those waters!! I hate thinking about fish swimming under me in the lake or ocean, I can't imagine having my feet next to them on purpose!

Your so funny. Really..It wasn't so bad. We even got to feed them. Now that was weird.

Wow annual passes are over 250 now? I remember when they were 99 for so cal res..... well... I guess that is the world we live in! I can't wait to read more....

It's sad. We are only 1 1/2 from the Happest place on earth, but yet we can not ever go.

I will be posting more on Discovery Cove later. I thought I would give an update on the kids. School is now over for the Summer

It's been almost 8 weeks since Kylee was last admitted. This is a record. Unfortunately I think we are headed in soon. The problem is this month is so full. It's either parties or appts. Kylee's birthday is coming up on the 18th and having her party on the 20th. She really wants Chuck E Cheese and since she has been through so much this year...I want her to just have fun. Then she is off to Painted Turtle(Hole in the Wall) to go to camp for 5 days. In the middle of all that we have doctor appts.

Korissa.. She is actually doing pretty good. I found a remedy for her not to be sick. Take her to the ENT and then have the doctor say to bring her in when she is sick. She is sick all the time, but when I want her sick..she is well. Go figure. She has been extremely tired and is sleeping a lot. She has a breath test coming up on the 16th. This will show if she has bacteria overgrowth...which I'll be surprised if she doesn't.

Steven is getting his cast off at the end of June. I'm so glad. That thing looks so disgusting. He also start his PT soon.

I'm doing heavy dose of Golytely this weekend..If nothing positive than I will have the doctor order a KUB on Monday. If she is full than I guess she will have to admitted next week. I just don't want her in on her bday. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers that I can get her cleaned out this weekend. I cringe at the thought of going back.

Good going Kylee on setting a record of 8 weeks without having to be admitted so she could finish out the school year at home! Praying for you Kris as you work with Kylee this weekend! She doesn't need to be in the hospital on her birthday! (We have 3 birthdays to celebrate here next week!)

It's good to hear that Korissa has not been getting sick lately! Praying that the doctors will find out why she's been tired and sleepy though!

Thank you Gail. Only a small BM yesterday. Scott and kids went to the Zoo yesterday. My In Law gave us a year pass to the LA Zoo for Christmas and this was the first time they were able to use it. I stayed home. I just couldn't do that walking.

Fatigue and sleepy is just all Mito. Not much they can do. Korissa and Kylee both feel asleep on the way home from the zoo.

The instructor came in and started the teaching of how to swim with the Dolphins. The class lasted about 20 min and it was finally time to go swimming.

Unfortunately the girls were paired with another family and they kept asking dumb question..which took up a lot of their time doing tricks with the Dolphins. Example... do Dolphins sleep on their belly's.

Ashlee going out to do her swimming...you had a choice of swimming out to the 12ft mark and have the Dolphin swim you back or stay in shallow water and do the same. Ashlee and Kyra did the deep waters and Korissa did the shallow.

After everyone had a turn swimming with the Dolphins..it was time to do some tricks with the Dolphin.

While Scott was filming the whole thing..One of the worker in the water saw the Make A Wish Button on our camera bag and asked who wish was it and if we wanted to take family pictures with the Dolphins... Boy do we. Those pictures are coming up. They also did more pictures of korissa with the Dolphin by herself.

After the swimming with the Dolphins it was time to eat some lunch. Why I did not take pictures...I have no clue. I think I left my camera in the locker. All I can say is..Wow!.. lunch was really good. I thought burgers and hot dogs, but it was Salmon, Curry Chicken, and Pastas. You can have one or all. Plus sides and dessert. I really wish I had taken pictures. Once we ate..we went back to the locker to get re sun screened...then headed back to the hot water pool.

Unfortunately...that's it for pictures. The underwater camera batteries ran out. I'm so mad that I forgot to bring the extra batteries.

At 5pm we all took showers and got dressed. This took about a hour. We headed back near the Townhouse. We had Joe's Crab Shack for dinner and took some ice cream back to have later. We got back to the Townhouse and started packing up and did some more laundry.

I can not tell you how fun this day was. I'm so glad I changed this for the end of our trip. What a way to go out.

Thanks to Gail for giving us some money to buy the photo CD..all we had to do was add another $100 to get the DVD and a few extra pictures. Lifetime of memories.

This was our last day in Florida. We all slept in until 9am. We all get up and dressed and finish up packing. We left the Townhouse and went down the street to have breakfast at the The Waffle House. This was a must do. After breakfast we headed to the Outlet Mall. Unfortunately Kyra wasn't feeling good this day. For my shopper, she didn't really care. We had to kill time because we didn't have to be at the airport until 4pm. We did shop a little, but it was so hot out we sat a lot of the time in the food court. I bought a couple of things for the Big Give at the Disney Store, but other than that...nothing.

We left at 3:30 to head to the airport. We thought we were closer to the airport than we were(did that make since). We forgot the toll roads and rush hour traffic. We got to the rental company at 4pm..when we should of been in the airport. We get in and went to the check in counter and check in our one baggage. We were 3 lbs over so we had to take a few thing out and try to stick them on our carry on that were full...fun task..not. We get to security and again I start panicking with Kylee wearing her back pack and my pacemaker. Oh...we didn't bring any liquid home..so we were clear on that. Everything went smoothly. Kylee and I were patted down and her back pack checked. We go over to the rest of the family and all of a sudden..we had a rush of security guards coming over. They asked who the Toy Story bag was.
We told them it was Kylees and they start going through it. They take out her ruler(it was huge) and I thought...OMG.. I forgot to put that on the check in bag. I thought I would have to throw it out. She had just bought it at the Disney Store at the Outlet Mall. They just put it a side and kept taking things out. On the bottom of the bag they took out an orange juice bottle half full. All that for an orange Juice bottle and not just any orange juice bottle...a 10 day old one at that. It was a very dark orange and I told them they can keep it. They were not too happy about this. Remember I said this orange juice we bought at LAX would come back at the end of the story. They didn't care that she had a 24in ruler in there.

We had 20min before we had to board so Scott and kids ran to Burger King to get some dinner. We ate half and ate the rest on the plane since we had to start boarding. Say close call.

Kids on plane. Kyra slept most of the time. We had a 5 1/2 flight.

We landed at almost 9pm west coast time...12am east time. We go and get our baggages..oh we had to check in all our carry ons that needed to be on the overhead as they ran out of room. We get them all and called our Limo driver. He was just down the street waiting for us to call him.

First time we had to wear jackets. Came back to cold temps

That's the end of our wonderful 10 day MAW Adventure. I want to thank all the Big Givers for all the AMAZING clothes and pixie dust. We loved everything and it made our trip even more special. A special Thank you for Gail and Billy for making this trip an even more AMAZING and giving Korissa her wish come true. We love you all

Thank you Gail. This is why I was dragging my TR. I didn't want it to end I guess it needed to come to an end some day.

Our family hope and dream is we can one day go back to Florida for a week and spend every minute volunteering at GKTW.. With one day at 1 park.
