Oh, and the Mandrakes cured the petrified Basilisk victims
I'm not really a Harry Potter fan, but the WWoHP looks amazing! It seriously looks like something right out of a storybook, so I'd say they did an excellent job!
Loved your update! The crowds sounded insane I can't believe it got to the point they were at capacity and had to wait for people to leave to let others in. But despite the crowds you and John still saw more than I did I didn't even go in all of the shops That's what I get for trying to do 2 parks in 1 day But how cute they sell the house scarves! I'm definitely getting one of those next time I visit WWoHP
I was terrified by the Forbidden Journey...with the spiders that spit in your face. I spent the whole ride gripping my fiancé's leg!
Yayyy for feeling better!
I am so excited for WWOHP!!! I can't wait for Forbidden Journey and Butterbeer!!!!
The mandrakes made the students un-petrified!
Can't wait for you to get back to WDW!!!
Great update on WWoHP. We've never been to Universal, but we're going for two days in the middle of our August WDW trip. The kids are so excited since we've just started reading the HP books. It looks amazing.
I believe they cure Petrification
PS Just tuning into your trip report, it looks amazing!
Ok, I am so not a Harry Potter fan. Never watched the movies or read the books, have no desire to, but that really looked like fun. Even though I had no idea what you was talking about lol
Man, I can't wait to go to WWOHP...
Wow, I love all your photos. I've been reading the Harry Potter books since I was 14 (obsessed!!!) and I'm so excited and can't wait until we're there in September! It's going to be my 28th birthday on our trip too (but I'm spending that day in MK, I want a birthday button ).
Yay on waking up feeling better!!
Wow on the parking prices and then the amount of people actually at IOA! Hopefully it will not be as crowded when you go in June!
Love the pics of Hogwarts Castle! Can't wait to see it!
I agree in that Mandrakes cured petrification.
Your review of FJ is making me soo excited - am sure glad we added IOA to our plans!
A 45 min wait for shops!!
Can't wait to try me some butterbeer!
Oh, and the Mandrakes cured the petrified Basilisk victims
Love this update! So, I haven't read the HP books, or seen the movies, but WWoHP looks amazing!!! If I decide to go to Universal, I'm going to have to have an HP movie marathon, so I know what I'm looking at when we go! That Butterbeer sounds SOOOO good!
Looking forward to your next update!
Enjoyed your Harry Potter update. I have heard that most people seem to like frozen butterbear over regular. I guess we will just have to try both. I am sorry you did not get a scarf. That is the one thing I want in December. I belive I am a Gryffindor. My daughter says I am a Slytherin. I know that she is wrong. She thinks she is a Ravenclaw. Should be some interesting shoppping. We are staying onsite for one night to get early entry and front of the line. Hopefully we can get a lot done in a reasonable amount of time.
Sorry you got wet on Jurassis Park. On a cold day that is not fun. Looking forward to hearing about the rest of your day. Glad you were feeling better.
I just realized that you're a Hufflepuff So am I! I got my scarf online a few years ago
Yea! So glad you're feeling better this day
Thanks for the advice on Harry Potter books vs. movies. I think I might read book #1 then watch the movie, book #2 then movie, etc. Do you think that would be a good idea? The HP part of Universal looks so cool! If I get really into the books we may just have to do one day there in October. Not sure what DH will say about that though...
The weirdest thing though - I have a Nook e-reader. I just tried to buy the book from the Barnes and Noble store and it isn't sold in Nook format! Urg! I guess I will have to go by our used bookstore. I'm sure they have it cheap. Actually you probably know the store I'm talking about - Ed McKay? Love it!
Butterbeer and the pumpkin juice sound so good too!

That's the Hufflepuff scarf I have I got it from a different online store, though.
I'm sorry you had to cancel your Le Cellier ADR! Just remember, it will be there the next time you go... and the time after that... lol. Better to take a break and save it for next time!
I am so jealous of your WWoHP trip! I really want to get there, but I think it will have to wait until I get DS into HP... I have tried the pumpkin juice too, but I wasn't a huge fan. Iwould love to try some Butterbeer though!
The t-shirt you are wearing in your new avatar picture is another tshirt that I own. I would appear we have similar taste!
I can't wait to hear about the sleigh ride!
Yay EoS looks so yummy! Can't wait to eat there!
Watching a movie at Disney World sounds like a good tradition to have. I have just seen some updated pics of the seats and food choices available and the theatre looks much better then the ones in the UK!
Wow at that Christmas tree - it sure is huge!! Love all the WL photos and look forward to reading your review of AP
I'm really hoping to squeeze in a trip to EOS on this trip. Their sandwiches are so yummy! I really wish we had a location here in Georgia.
The WL is so beautiful! It sounds like you too had fun waiting for dinner. I can't wait to hear about your meal!
That's so cute that you guys went to a movie! I went to one once too... I think it was Underdog. It was so long ago! I must have been in middle school. I just remember the seats being REALLY comfortable!
Wilderness Lodge is SO pretty at Christmas time! I may have to just make a dining reservation there so I can go look at the decorations!
OMG, EoS!!! I'd give anything to be in Florida right now, just to have a sandwich from there...yum!
That movie theater sounds awesome! I don't think I've ever thought of seeing a movie at Disney, but it's a good idea when you have some time to kill and don't want to do a park!
Isn't my WL beautiful?? I love walking into the lobby, it's so amazing! And I love the gift shop there too, I love that they have WL merchandise there, not many resorts have that anymore!
Can't wait to read about Artist Point!
Thanks for the book and movie advice! So, I went ahead and bought the first HP book on Friday. Unfortunately, I was at Wal-Mart and just wanted to go ahead and start so I probably paid way too much. I'll make sure to go to Ed McKay for the rest though! I'm already 2/3 of the way finished and I love it so far! I'm kind of bummed that I'm just now getting into it, but better late than never, I guess. I talked to DH on Saturday and it didn't take much convincing for him to agree to go to Universal too. Yea! We're still deciding on if we want to stay on property there for a night or two. I'm thinking we probably will though so that we'll get early entrance to the HP area. But I'm afraid I'll feel like you did leaving Disney property! But we're in Orlando for 9 nights so maybe it won't be too bad.
I'm totally with you about EOS! One of my favorite CS places in all of Disney. I tried 3 different sandwiches on our trip last May (not all at the same time! ) and loved them all.
Going to a movie in DTD is also a tradition for us so don't feel weird! We love that theater too. And it's just a nice break. We go to the movies at home at least every other weekend so we enjoy it there too. I've been dying to see all of the new snack options they have. I've read something about a drink station where they have all sorts of flavor add-ins. And how you can get popcorn or ice cream with mix-ins. (link here: disneyfoodblog) It looks so cool!
Hope you have a great signature experience! We almost made an ADR for Artist Point on our upcoming trip but I ultimately decided against it. Hopefully one day.
