This picture is priceless.

I should post the picture of me and my sister in front of Walt/Mickey by the castle. I told her that having a picture of just ourselves does not happen very often, unless you are there before park opening. I'll see if I can find it.

popcorn::

I hope the "necklaces" haven't been left in the little pocket on Splash Mountain! :rolleyes1

Sure was a gorgeous (if busy) day. I have already dialed in our request for perfect weather in May, TYVM! :thumbsup2

Looking forward to the report on BLT pool! ;)

I think we are going to check out AKL and do Sarah's cake there. Ya know the whole zebra/animal theme works. We've never been there anyway. I actually had Boma ADR's for Sat night until Mr. Buzzkill reminded me that we had Chef Mickey's the next morning, so I canceled it. ;) Back to back buffet's are not so good on the belly. :lmao:

Captain Kirk chose us a "nice" room at the Holiday Inn Express DTD. After that crapfest of a hotel we got last time I was about ready to beam him up....we've never stayed there so hopefully it's OK. ;) It's not BWV, that's all I can say. :rotfl2:

I think AKV is a great place to do your cake- it's so pretty there- and it feels so exotic...is Ron really named Mr. Buzzkill? I'll have to change it in my address book...:rotfl:

Glad Capt. Kirk helped you out! :thumbsup2

Looks like you guys are having a great time:) I showed the pictures of Splash Mountain to my two daughters and they want to try it for the first time:thumbsup2 We will be there in 4 days...can't wait!!!!!
Looking forward to the rest of your TR.

YAY for your girls!! :woohoo::yay: Can't wait to hear how they like it!

All caught up again. OMG the necklaces went missing again?!! :scared1:

:rolleyes1

So the absent mindedness of boys doesn't go away as they get older?:scared1:

Oh and that Splash picture is priceless.;)

No- they stay airheads for life, I believe....

Love the Splash Mountain picture. It's fantastic!:thumbsup2

Thank-you!! I liked all of our expressions too!!:goodvibes

Ellen, you make some of the best ride faces evah!

I'm recalling a particular Tower of Terror pic at the moment....:rotfl:

Thanks- you mean this ToT pic?

img009.jpg

Yes- I think this one is the clear winner...:rotfl2:

I love the castle with the blue sky behind it too....it just seems wrong when we're there and it's raining!

That pic on SM is priceless...I love it!!

Yes- it just seems wrong to have a rainy day in MK!! This day was a really gorgeous one-

YAY! I'm finally back on the computer and am looking forward to reading your report. I have been trying so hard to get recuperated from going on my oldest daughter's Senior trip with her that I have just been exhausted. A week on a bus from central Iowa to Washington DC, Philly and NYC is a lot for one week. Getting maybe 4-5 hours asleep a night. Ughhhhh.

So, I'm back, refreshed, and ready to go get caught up!

:flower3:

You are sooooo brave going on that trip! :worship: Joan just went with the HS band to Washington DC- so I heard alllllll about that experience...:worship: Hope you are all caught up on your sleep!!

jen a friend from school stayed at Holiday inn DTD and said it was nice. so fingers crossed for you. Hopefully Capt'n kirk will redeem himself. 14 days!!!!!!

12 days!!! Almost time for the single digit dance!!!!

I stumbled upon your TR and I am all caught up :surfweb:. My DS is the same age and the stuff he comes out with or does makes me laugh.:rotfl:

Yea- I think they are all the same, these 13 year old boys...:rotfl:

Thanks for the info you are the best. :thumbsup2

What a great pic!! Was this in Orlando or at another Sea World?

i am doing to happy dance right now because when we got home from the lake today I found a lovely envelope in the mail....woooo-hoooo for the DME passes. ( i needed it as the water was a balmy 40 degrees to put in the boat and the lift---to quote tim there was srinkage!!!!

It was a good time to take a break from MK- the crowds were so thick! As I had mentioned, we had a LOT of friends from our hometown who were here for Spring Break, and while most of them were staying at SSR, one family was at BLT- so lucky us, we only had a short walk to go for our swim!!:goodvibes

IMG_1238.jpg

I love seeing friends from home on vacation, and what was REALLY great was that this particular family (who we knew from Tyler playing PAL football- the Dad was one of his coaches & the son one of Tyler's team mates) will also be on our next family vacation- they will be on our RC Explorer cruise in August! :dance3: Anyway, they own their points at BLT, and this was their first trip to their home- and they were LOVING it!! It was great to spend some time with them, and it gave the kids some time to hang out, too. Phyllis took abot 50 pics of us (she was the team photographer- she makes me look like I don't even own a camera!:rotfl: ) here are just a couple-

And here they are-

IMG_1245.jpg

After a couple of hours, we realized it was REALLY time to go- we had an early dinner reservation at Raglan Road with some very special friends, and we needed to get moving- so we stopped back up in the villa, grabbed our things, said our good byes, and Phyllis walked us over to the monorail-

IMG_1248.jpg

And just as the monorail doors closed, I noticed, ONCE AGAIN, what was missing....

WHERE ARE YOUR NECKLACES????!!!!!????!!!!!!:scared1::scared1:

Timmy realized he had left them on the kitchen table at BLT- of course, now we were on the monorail, had to go on the full loop, AND we were NEVER going to make an early dinner reservation if we wanted to shower when we got back to SSR (and we REALLY needed to shower- it was REALLY hot at BLT, I think the building was blocking the breeze).

For dinner, we were supposed to meet some people who are very, VERY important to me- Tracy, who was a little girl once-upon-a-time that I babysat for (along with her siblings:lovestruc), and who I vacationed with, and who was in my wedding, and whose family hosted my bridal shower, who is now a Mom herself with two adorable daughters; they were staying at the Gaylord Palms with Tracy's husband (who I had never met) and Tracy's Dad. Well, as it turned out, when i called Tracy, she answered her cell phone in NJ- one of her girls was sick, so she was coming down the next day (and unfortunately, both girls ended being sick on their vacation- :sad1:) and that meant our ADR wasn't going to happen. Which, while it made me awfully sad, also kept my screaming at my kids to a minimum! :rotfl2: I DO have to include a pic, taken this past Christmas, when they came for a visit-

IMG_2448.jpg

Aren't hey just SOOOO precious??? :lovestruc Anyway...back to the disaster on the monorail....

So I called Phyllis, unable to reach her but leaving frantic messages...now, if they had been staying at any other resort or DVC, for that matter, it wouldn't really be an issue. But at BLT, in order to get into the building itself, you need to have a room key...OR, you need to walk very fast to catch up to the people ahead of you who just opened the door with theirs- which was our preferred method... But once inside, we had to figure out which room they were in, and hope that they were actually in the room- which somehow, we MIRACULOUSLY found, and when they opened the door, the four of them were totally hystericallly laughing at us. :lmao:

Always nice to provide entertainment for everyone.

So it was time for yet ANOTHER lecture- just to be clear- T&T were told they would NOT take their necklaces off EVER!!!! They would sleep with them, shower with them, eat with them, watch tv with them, go to the bathroom with them...heck, they might even have to get MARRIED with them because THOSE NECKLACES WERE NEVER COMING OFF AGAIN!!!!!! EVER!!!!:headache:

We hopped on the monorail to MK once more, then took the bus back to SSR......

Up next- alternate dinner plans and the Magic the Memories, and US!!

Wow those necklaces are really giving you guys trouble! Haha. I am glad you were able to get them back easily and that they were in their room. I really need to invest in a lanyard and the waterproof card pouch that goes with it. Everytime I go to the pool I end up carrying my room key and license and they are always loose. I just know I am going to lose one of them sooner or later. The BLT pool looks nice! Just saw you are all leaving on your Dismom trip in a little over a week. Go Dismoms!! Can't wait to read that TR!

:dance3: Only 11 more days!! Please tell Tim I'm very sorry for his....small problem. :rotfl:

I love that picture of you on TOT! Cracked me up!:rotfl2: Even better was the look on your son's face!:lmao:

I was SO SURPRISED!! And probably terrified- it was my first ride. But I was laughing later on. TIMMY, however, did NOT enjoy it at all- even though he had loved it and told me it was no big deal the year before. :confused3 He looks like he is about to get SHOT!!! :rotfl2: Even better to me is the 5 year old with his Grandparents sitting in front of us- they look so calm and relaxed, like they are on cindy's carousel!! :rotfl2: It was their 5th ride that day, I think they said.

It was Orlando. They loved it.

I love it too :thumbsup2

Glad we could brighten your day! :rotfl: I really want to take them to Sea World- maybe in 2012. :thumbsup2

I'm sure we can get them some fancy lanyards for their wedding day. Lol!!

Great!! Maybe ones that are big enough to hold wedding cards, that they can leave hanging in a bathroom stall! :thumbsup2

NECKLACES!!!! You are one tough MAMA!!! :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

HEY!! If the necklace fits, they should wear it!!

The lanyards work very well keeping track of all your stuff. As long as you are clever enough not to take it off. It amazes my kids, but they just don't work as well that way.....

Can't wait for the DISmoms trip- always so much fun-

Yep, that's the one! :rotfl:

Yea- it's a fan favorite...:rolleyes2:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Oh, those poor boys. Losing their necklaces all the time. They should be thankful to have such an observant mama. But then again, isn't that our job, to be observant of their entire world's, our DH's and then our own. :confused3 I mean really. Us mom's just ROCK! :rotfl2:

Of course they will have wedding cards. What else would they attach the ring to. What do you think that blue thing prince William was wearing. His mama told him always to wear his necklace.

Love the update!

And I thought I was bad with those "necklaces"! :rotfl2: At least they remembered WHERE they had taken them off and you were not "late" for your dinner!

Can't wait for more! :yay: :yay: :yay:
