Stay another nite?? Where?

Staying 5 nights a BWI, but have 6 day park hoppers. Have meals planned out (DxDP) so that we will have enough left for that 6th day. Now thinking that I may like to stay that whole day (originally planned to head out in the morning after breakfast, we have a 2 day drive).
So if we stay and play that whole day, to I book a 1 night room only at Pop? Does that sound crazy? (Don't want to spend alot more $$)

If you want to add a day, I'd see if you could do Pop your first day, then move to BWI for the rest of the stay. I think the move to a value after staying at BW would be a massive let down.
But no, it doesn't sound crazy
We are doing a split stay POR & BC. The day I added on was to POR.
I always start with a moderate, if I'm doing a split stay, then go to Deluxe.

I agree with Sue M. I've never done split stay but I would definately want to end with the deluxe resort.

My package is booked for 5 nites, 5/16-5/20, checking out on 5/21. This is the nite I want to add so we can stay at the parks all day. You guys say to do Pop first, to avoid the Deluxe to Value shock to do that I have to move my package to 5/17-21, doing Pop on the nite of 5/16. But then my package wont be starting till 5/17 and I wont have my park tix or DxDP!!
(I figured we'd just be staying at a chain on I95 that nite on the ride home anyway-- so Pop would seem grand to us!)
If I add a nite to the package, that would mean adding the expense of another nite of DxDP in addition to the extra nite of room fee. Right?

Yes, if you added a night to your package, you'd have to add another night of the dining plan. However, you could book a room-only reservation at BW or Pop or All-Star or wherever, and would not. While I do think it might be a let-down from BW to Pop, I think it would be fine, especially if it's just your last night before heading home. It would be really easy, too, to let Disney handle your luggage transfer while you're having fun at the parks for your last day. By the end of your trip, you're just going to want a bed to crash in, anyway!

It sounds like you have enough dining credits and park days to complete your trip without altering anything. For an extra day of park and dining, I would just add a night at POP then head out the next day.

Yes, I can see your point! It would be easier for you to just do a room only at Pop the last night, unless you could add on a room only at BWI for your extra night

Can not really afford another nite at BW (unless someone knows about some serious discounts for a one nite stay), so I am thinking Pop, but playing with the idea of Dolphin from a discount hotel site for a bit more$.
