I will be staying at Blue Tree Resorts in a 2 bedroom over the July 4th holiday week. I have never stayed there. Can anyone give me any info on this place. I did look up the review on TripAdvisor and most seem ok. I needed something that wasn't too expensive and still plan on trying to find a deal on Bonnet Creek for another week over the summer :thumbsup2.
I am reading conflicting things on the size of the bed in the master bedroom. I know one can be a king and one can be a queen depending on if it is the regular Villa or the Deluxe, but what I am seeing on TripAdvisor is that some are saying the bed is only a "Full" :scared1: I really hope not. I know the second bedroom has twin beds, I can deal with that. Any help from anyone who has recently stayed here would be great.. TIA :goodvibes

Great location - one of the best in Orlando shared with Cypress Pointe Resort & CP Grande Villas. The resort is managed by two different groups. The exact unit features depends somewhat on which is handling the unit you are getting. In any case there are no beds smaller than a queen in the main bedroom unless that was changed recently (very doubtful).

Enjoy. Are you on the SPM or Westgate side?

Yes, I stayed there last July for 4 days and 3 nights. I was a little leary too, but let me tell you, I have NO regrets. We stayed in Building #15 Room 247. This was the SPM side (Executive 2bdrm). Westgate has the Deluxe 2 bedrooms. The only negative I had was the patio/balcony size. The SPM side it is virtually non-existent its so small. Other than that the unit we stayed in had just been remodeled and we were the first ones to use it. The kitchen was GREAT. Diningroom, livingroom, and 2nd bedroom was ok in size. On the smaller scale. But for a family of 4-6 its adequate. Yes, the bed is QUEEN size but it felt like full size actually. Its not run down or of poor quality at all. Its a nice, cozy family oriented resort. Very close to the Disney Entrance in the Crossroads area. PLENTY of nice, convenient and affordable restaurants practically within walking distance.

Bottom Line, I dont think you will regret staying here at all. Its not as large as many other resorts but it is clean and comfortable just the same. Cypress Point is right across the road. I dont think you will disappointed.

I made a quick slideshow on photobucket from some of my photos to give you a little idea.

Thanks for the replies. I knew where it was since I have stayed at Cypress. I am renting from someone, and did so because of this location. I wanted an easy commute to both Disney & Universal, and this foots the bill for me. I also wanted something that was not too expensive since I do want to try and stay at Bonnet Creek as well at some point over the summer too.

I guess some people on Trip Advisor must have thought that the queen bed was a full size bed. I am not sure what side I am staying on, but I she did request the Deluxe Villa for me. She was told that it isn't a guarantee and for either her or me to call about 2-3 weeks out from check in to confirm what type of unit I will be getting???
The guest certificate is from II, not WestGate :confused3 so I don't know what side.. or does that mean it isn't the WestGate side?

Also if anyone can please tell me what is provided in the kitchen as far as soap, sponge, roll of paper towels etc... and how many rolls of toilet paper, trash bags etc.. so I know what I will have to get. I know one place I stayed at charged for the toilet paper after the first roll so I bought all my own.

I am thinking if its an II exchange it SHOULD be Westgate side which ARE the DELUXE and they are larger. The SPM side is smaller. Also the WESTGATE units have better patios and balconies. My membership for II expired, or else I would look for you to see which one II used. I am almost positive II deals with WESTGATE so it should be the DELUXE side. Maybe someone will come on and answer that question for you.

As far as the kitchen, well the unit we stayed in 15-247 was just remodeled and none of the appliances had even been used. How did I know? Because they all still had the plastic covers on the outlet prongs
They provide all the necessities. Paper towels, toilet paper, soap, dish sponge and a couple packets of dishwasher soap. We were there for 4 days and 3 nites and I didnt use half of any of the supplies. You should be fine with supplies for a week. Don't worry, I found this resort to be so family friendly that I wouldnt hesitate to stay there again. Relax...its gonna be GREAT!!!

II deals with both, in Sept 2008 we stayed at the SPM managed apartments and for 2 of us we found the 1 bedroom perfect, we even got a washer and dryer, which we weren't expecting, and found having it a dream.

We stayed at CP Grande Villas last year, and have already said if we went back again, we'd rather stay at Blue Tree.

Thanks for the recent replies.. and I am glad to hear that someone likes Blue Tree better than Cypress :goodvibes I liked them, but didn't like their internet.. it was horrible. I had to pay something like $30 for the week and it was constantly bumping me off. I finally asked for a refund (and they did give it, so I guess I wasn't the only one with that complaint). I really want the larger unit so I can get the washer & dryer :thumbsup2 that is my concern. I don't want to have to drag my clothing to the outside machines & pay for them :headache: It is easier to throw the load it at night and head off to bed. I also would rather not pack for the week if I don't have to, would rather do the laundry there. I guess I will have to wait until the 2 weeks prior to find out what type of unit I will be getting. I know the member I am renting from did say that she put in the request for me, but they also told her that they advised I call 2 weeks prior. Thanks once again for the responses.. at least I know I won't have to go out and buy soaps & sponges.. or toilet paper.. :goodvibes

We stayed there a couple of weeks ago for 3 nights. Our room (building 18, I think) had a queen bed. The reviews I had read on Trip Advisor seemed accurate, and I didn't have any surprises.

Remember that CP Grande Villas are not the same as Cypress Pointe Resort. While they share all common areas and currently the check in desk the actual features and units are significantly different at both. While CPR was built first the approach of the HOA there - continuous improvements, higher standards in furnishings, fixtures and built-ins and upgrades - has made that the "newer" and more up to date than CPGV. They may all share the location but the best by far IMO is CPR. Also the toughest to get time in as the demand there is year round.
