The Official 2010 MNSSHP- Tips,Tricks and a few Treats !

If you are at MK the same day as the party are you able to see the fireworks and parade without buying the MNSSHP tickets (you just aren't able to trick or treat) and do you know is a 2 year old free?

No, it is a hard-ticket event. Unlike evening EMH, CMs enforce the policy by shooing everyone out who does not have a MNSSHP wristband. Anyone 2 and under would be free however. Highly recommend.

Oh wow thanks for the info didn't realize they closed down the park at 7...do they do the normal nightly parade before 7 on those days or do they skip it?

They skip it and the regular fireworks as well.

This year will be our first Halloween party with the mouse. Can't wait! Gotta go back and read this entire thread. :-)

Is anyone going to open an official 2011 MNSSHP thread?

I'd like to know what others think will happen with crowds now that Toontown is closed.

Oh!! I thought this was the 2011 thread,I thought it was a little long for 2011:rotfl2:. Thats for clicking to fast!:rolleyes1

Is there any reason this can't contiue to be the offical thread? it would give the newbies (like me) something to look back on and get a feel for the party.

I'm wondering this same thing??

Also we are doing Oct 23-29 and are thinking of doing MNSSHP! Just wondering from those who have done it in the past, are those last 4 or 5 parties sold out/really crowded? Would it be worth going if it's that crowded? (Especially since, Toontown is closed!) Thanks!

It will get too long too quickly and it makes it difficult for people to find things. Once the dates are officially posted there will probably be a new one for this year. Unless the 2011 MNSSHP Guest List becomes the official new thread

We did it on Halloween night and on the one before Halloween night (28th?) last year. I didn't think it was too crowded. Not more so than any other day at Disney anyways. If you are thinking it is going to be empty and less crowded than a regular park day then you will be surprised. But it felt to me like any other day at the park, maybe even less. Lines for Space Mtn were like 10-15 minutes. The lines for pictures were a little long though.

Last year I started this thread in preparation of going to MNSSHP for the first time. So many people gave me such great advice. We were able to get pictures with all the characters we wanted, and see the parade and fireworks both at a great location. It was SO worth every penny we paid for the four of us and I would do it again in a minute.
But sadly enough I decided this year to bank our DVC points and take a cruise in October instead. We have been to DW and DL 6 times in the last three years and even though the natives are trying to rebel, we ARE going on a cruise :rotfl:
I will post some of my pictures for those of you going and waiting a tiny taste before October- I remember living through this thread for months while planning every little detail.
If someone who checks in often wants to start a 2011 thread, then by all means do so, as I am sure some of the info will change. :thumbsup2

Turtle31- Last year was my first MNSSHP and fall trip, and this thread was invaluable in helping me figure things out in advance, so I wasn't completely lost when the party started, so thanks for all your hard work! I would be happy to start a new thread when the dates are officially posted and tickets go on sale, if no one else starts one first!

Arriving on October 7 first stop Magic Kingdom for dinner at Tony's then MNSSHP!!! Can't wait. Halloween party is my favorite. Christmas party is pretty but Halloween is sooo fun. pirate:

Hi all! I am so very excited to be bringing my dd (9) to her and my first ever MNSSHP ... I have tried to be very diligent about reading up on this thread but my eyes are killing me and Ive got a question.(s)

1. do you think oct 10th and 11th are good dates to do the party? and also, do you think we will be able to meet and greet most of the villans in a 2 party span? or should I seriously try and sit down and get a plan of who is most important for her to meet?

thanks pals.

happy planning :)

I will be going the 11th, and while the 10TH is Columbus Day, it's not a day off for most people and it's a Monday, so I think your good. Just some kids who get a fall break and random people like me, that got off work and desided to come, a few foriegners, but nothing crazy.

Now, are you going to two parties? Both the 10th and 11th? That should give you enough time, but I would still have a plan or a list of characters from most important (OMG I would cry if I didn't meet them.) to least important (I don't like them as much anyways.) So, you know who to knock off the list first.

It appears that people with my same dates are surfacing! Yay! We arrive on Oct 7 also, but was planning to attend the party on the 10th. I am planning no other parks that day, but my question comes in with the following day. I was planning on visiting US for Potterville the next day. Will I be too exhausted? It's our first trip, and no kids...just us BIG KIDS!

Columbus Day Weekend is busier, but not like NYE or anything...this thread is very helpful to look through, even being last years.
