I love all the nighttime AK pix; I've never been there past sunset!
Back-to-back EEs are amazing -- way to get the blood really pumping!

I wish they would do something more with Restaurantasaurus... after they moved Donald's Breakfast to Tusker House I was waiting for a change in menu there, but it never came. Great atmosphere, though!

EMH at AK is fun! The crowds certainly thinned out on the night we were there and riding EE over and over was a blast.

Restaurantasaurus sure is a great looking place, and yes great atmosphere. I hope to hear if something is changing there for sure.

Thank you! It really was beautiful everywhere you looked. There were so many more pictures I took that looked great on my camera but then were blurry when I downloaded them to the computer.

The kids would totally have kept going on EE if we hadn't announced we were calling it a night!

I just heard evening EMH ended... that is too bad, we had such fun. I'm glad I got the chance to do it.

I think it was something to do with the animals and most prob because there wasn't that much to do after dark. But from photos I have seen I am betting its the atmosphere that most people enjoyed

Absolutely NO. I took her on the Ghoster Coaster at Wonderland last year and she was mad at me for days.

I'm trying to talk her into Haunted Mansion though

Emma's rules are no fast, no drops and no Dark. She goes on POTC but says she doesn't like it so since HM doesnt have drops or go fast maybe if I let her bring a glow stick she will go for it!

It was quite empty when we were walking to the exits but I hope it comes back at some point.

Thursday, December 2nd
Day 6 – Resort & Downtown Disney Day
Weather: high of 62 degrees, low of 43 degrees
What we wore: pants and hoodies



Today was the first day of the trip it really started to cool down. We had maybe one more warm day but pretty much from this day to the end, it was chilly. Which was too bad because it was our scheduled resort day and it would have been nice to have a swim.

In any case, today was sleep in day, laundry day, relax-take-it-easy day, shopping day ... you get the idea.

So while Alex, Kathryn and Demetri went mini golfing (not taking ONE picture ) and George and Ariana watched TV in the room, I took all our laundry and got the machines going. By the way, LOVE the Purex 3 in 1 sheets. Instead of going back to the room, I slowly walked around the entire resort and just did whatever the heidi-ho I wanted to do.

Of course, I had my camera with me too.

Wandering the gift shop and lobby area....

This alone time was one of my favorite moments of the trip. Just slowly wandering at my own pace... loved it. All of the pools were calmly quiet, lifeguards at the ready.

The kids returned from mini golfing and laundry freshly put away , it was time to head off to Downtown Disney.

Our first store.....

I was trying to find all of these....

Opting to find what we wanted and then coming back on the way out to actually buy it, we had fun looking around at all the displays.

Having picked out what we wanted, we moved on.

Goofy's was our next must stop!

Demetri remembered the mirror....

I love Ariana in that second mirror pic, standing so tall and regal with a sideways look at her reflection!

We left empty handed, nothing was screaming at us to 'buy me'!

Next was the pin shop and Demetri wanted a picture with Mickey and Minnie....

Kathryn had been pin trading for a particular set and she looked for it new, curious to see what they went for. I think she found them but I can't really remember what the were.


Making our way around, we came across this awesome Christmas tree decorated with toys and games!

Coming up to Santa's Chalet, we lined up to visit and were the second family waiting. We knew it was now or never because we had dinner reservations coming up and he'd be gone before we were done.
