Not yet. This sounds silly, but it still feels like I'ld be jinxing this trip by getting a ticker. Even with the flight back home booked, cruise booked and given the financial green light. A lot also comes down to me first needing to really say goodbye to my plans/desire/wish of returning to Australia in 2011. Don't get me wrong, I love WDW and DCL and am in awe that I get to go on this trip. But it's not what I'ld had planned and had such high hopes for. Still need to close that door before I can really really get my head around this trip. Not going to count down until that moment, I don't want something as happy as a ticker influenced by a sentiment of this being a "second best" trip.

I do not think it is silly at all. I can imagine you are disappointed about not being able to return to Australia. I think we all can appreciate vacations and destinations beyond the cruise.

In 2008, right before the WBPC cruise, we had to cancel due to DH's work wanting him to run a trade show booth in Asia. I had been on the board thread for 2 years planning this cruise and made such good friends. I felt awful. I actually flew to Florida from California to meet some of the DISers before they left.

WOWSERS! This thread has totally picked up in speed!!! I have homework to do now!!

I'm going to print the welcome wagon and show Curt so he can have input. (Or at least think he does...) Most times when we embark on a cruise, he can name maybe half the ports we are going to. And that includes the embarkation port!

I need to figure out what each activity is (hence following the links) and also if kiddos our ages do lanyards, pins, etc. I guess the pins are a great keepsake though. We definitely purchase a magnet from each place we visit.

Pins are great!! Hopefully, lanyards will be free to some if we get enough people to join a group that will chip in and split the costs. I try to get magnets and lanyard pins from places we visit too.

Gosh, I wish I would have known as I could have sent you money on PayPal. I wanted a DCL red sun visor last time I was on the Magic but they were out. Crew member said it was because it was the end of summer!!! Mine is so, so faded!!

We are still planning on doing this cruise as well as the Med cruise right before. We are not sure that my in-laws will join us though. I would really like to participate in all of the fun things like the FE, Secret Mickey and Candy swap. I am not quite sure though how to account for the people who will be in our room and I can not book the cruise until I know who will be in our rom. My husband and I are in the process of adopting through the foster care program and have not been matched with the kids yet. We hope it will happen soon, but until then, this cruise is in limbo. Would it be possible to sign up for these activities and adjust the info as we get closer to the cruise?

Welcome aboard. You must have seen my "welcome wagon" post. I would think that everything is adjustable at this point.

I want to join the FE & Secret Mickey exchanges so i'll send the relevant PM's shortly. Karen with the Secret Mickey exchange do we need to give ideas of the things we like such as favourite characters, pin collector etc so the person buying can choose something suitable?

I need to think about the Candyswap as I need to consider my luggage allowance, will definately join if I am going to ship some stuff to the port.
