The Side effects of the AP-Trip#6 Oct 10 Final thoughts and some TMI

Yes, from some parks the bus will stop at all 5 Deluxe EPCOT resorts. :scared1: That is the one drawback but you get to walk to EPCOT, and take the boat or walk to DHS. MK can be the monorail if you are able to walk through EPCOT otherwaise MK and AK are the bus rides.

I am not sure why I opted for the Yacht club. I think the order is Swan, Dolphin, Yacht, Beach and then Boardwalk. Usually I will get off at the Beach Club since it is closest to EPCOT. The driver may have had to load a wheelchair or scooter so I hopped off and just walked.

Yes, I was kind of aware of that issue... Still, I think the busses are very effective in general. I don't think walking through Epcot to take the monorail to the TTC to get the monorail to the MK would be faster than a bus which will make stops at all the Epcot resorts though... But it might be a nice excursion!! :goodvibes I am in the process of buying DVC points at BWV through resale at the moment, so I guess my next WDW trip will be there! :thumbsup2

I'm glad to see that Jasmine has a coat that's "in character". :thumbsup2

Hopefully the braised short ribs tasted better than their appearance.

Wait, you didn't get a Cosmo slushie??? ;)

No that was just the Orange from the booth available all year round. I believe I got that before I noticed the Cosmo. But I rectified that omission this year as you have seen. :)

Congrats on DVC. We have stayed at BC and BW. Since I believe BW is the last stop I would get off at the Swan and walk. At the time I did not know the walk was so short but the kids were much younger and walked much slower.;) I am not sure we could have walked even if we wanted to.

Could you imagine Jasmine with a standard parka. :lmao:

The Braised short ribs were fabulous, they just looked like, well not rib like. :rotfl: I guess I was expecting to see the meat and have potatoes next to it. :confused3 When the server popped it out of the container I really thought she did not give the right thing.

Glenn, Did you like my gorilla with his blankie?

For whatever reason I totally missed the new update when I replied...

I am really looking forward to the F&WF for my next trip! I had a brief experience with it on my very first trip and did not really enjoy it that much. I think it was just too many new things at once. And we only had one day for all of Epcot... :confused3 I have learned to take more time for the parks by now! :goodvibes

You wrote "check this out" but there was nothing there. :confused3 :sad1:
This is the picture I meant.
This is from a trip in '07 and my all time favorite gorilla picture.

Sometimes I post when you are not looking.
The first time I encountered Food and Wine I also did not enjoy it. I went during the weekend and it is really crowded then. My advice is to go mid week and during the day, for lunch and /or an early dinner. The later it gets the more the crowds build.

Does anyone else find this amusing?

S.C. Aquarium to add stingray feeding attraction, Toddler Cove

Why do I get the feeling that they are NOT feeding toddlers to the stingrays?:confused3

Cute picture...big strong gorilla and his blankie.

That's hilarious! Now, how could they let that get by an editor?

I get an email summary every day of amusement related news. Lots of Disney news.

I scrolled down and read that headline and just laughed. I figured they were NOT feeding toddlers to Stingrays  and they were NOT calling the sting ray feeding area Toddler Cove.
How hard is it to use and "and" instead of a ",". That would cut down on the confusion.

In an effort to keep moving forward I am going to finish up Day 3 Sunday Oct18 2009 :scared1: of this trip.
Stay tuned.....

I started my day out at DHS, hopped over to AK and then over to EPCOT for dinner. Where to end the evening? Not where you might think.

I last left you exiting EPCOT out the back door and realized I forgot something.
So I turn around go back through bag check ( I still had my over the shoulder bag) go back through the turnstiles and race back to France.

I was lucky to find my bag right where I left it. I grab it and try to exit again. It was 6:50 pm and F! started at 7:30. Should I try to make it?
Yes! I was going back to DHS to try and catch F!

Luckily a boat was at IG when I exited the second time.

I hopped on and enjoyed the ride but wondered if I would make it. It was not do or die. If I could not get in I was OK with it, but I figured being alone would be a benefit.

The boat docked at DHS and I made a run for it. Through bag check, the turnstile, and then down Sunset blvd. I was directed in to the amphitheater but detoured from the normal entrance to the right. I could hear the music starting and I began singing along as I passed the last CM ( I think he cheered me on as I rounded that corner) to arrive on the far right side of the amphitheater. I quickly found a spot and was able to enjoy this.

After the show ended I walked with the masses. DHS had EMH so there were rides to ride.
A fast pit stop

Then a fast ride.

With no lines this evening, I was able to walk on here.

With both those thrill rides completed and also done earlier in the day I felt content and no desire to continue running between the 2 rides.

I wandered down to TSM to check the wait time. I was hoping like RnR and ToT the wait time was minimal. Boy was I clueless.
The wait time was 50 minutes. It was a little after 9pm and DHS was open until 10pm.

I figured I wanted to take pictures of the stand by queue and well, why not now.
I figured this would be the best place to....

I have no idea what my score was, nor did I even think to take a picture of it. I was through the ride by about 9:45 so I begin to walk out.

Do I have time for 1 more ride? Sure I do. My choice.

I slowly make my way down the street and around the lake.

I finally exited the park around 10:30 pm. Busses were plentiful and I was back at Pop by 11pm.

I had one more day of complete freedom before my conference started. I had a plan for Monday. All 4 parks in one day. Now a kink in the plans. I was asked to go over the CSR convention center to help with set up. Will this prevent the 4 four park mission?

Is this what you look like at work? :)

I did Fantasmic alone back in the summer. The others were having an early night in, and I'm not one to go to bed early in Disney World. I loved seeing the show, but it was a little less fabulous without the girls.

2 ToT rides, a RnRC ride, AND a TSM spin! WOW!! I wasn't overly fond of F!, one of those ones I'm content to see once.

I never did see the TSM standby queue in full- something I wished I could have seen more of!!

Wow, I would have sworn that the boat trip takes at least 30 minutes, it seems so slow with all the stops along the way!! I am glad that you made it to the show.

Great TSM pictures and the lifeguard is very cute! What kind of game is that? Or is it just a fun design for normal playing cards?

Down right to the suspenders holding my tube up. ;)

I think you just covered that night on your TR. I ran right in there and that Cm as i rounded the last corner while singing just cheered me on like I was running a marathon.
I agree with the less fabulous but on the other hand I had no kids whining about being hungry, hot, cold, or tired how we could be riding rides and no Dh complaining about the crowds and how we were going to get out. :upsidedow

That night seemed kind of light crowd wise. This past Oct - different story.

I have done it a couple of times now. The dash, Fp and ride is the way to go now. Or the dash ride and then FP, whichever will work best for that particular day. :cutie:

I think by my pictures it did take about 30 minutes. I did look back at the time stamps on the pictures and exiting IG at 6:50pm and the first picture of the F! screens are at 7:37. I really think F! was not on my radar until the boat captain said something so I figured I would go for it.

I think that Lifeguard card is from either Old Maid or maybe a version of Go Fish? My mother gave a German version of old Maid once, but the old maid was a Black pig? I know she translated it but I will not attempt the translation

I find it funny since that is my line of work and I feel representated by Disney now.

Thank goodness your bag was still there in France!

Great ending to your night -- Fantasmic! and some of your favorite DHS rides!

I was glad too, but I am not sure I really had anything in the bag. I know on Saturday I put some glow necklaces in there to give to Brooklyn when I met them, but Sunday I may have brought it to put my jacket in when it got warm. I was not used to having it so more the reason for me to forget it. I know it stayed in the room the rest of the trip.

I was tempted not to go back but 1) I don't normally just leave things. 2) the bag was from that years Ultra swim meet where I officiated and it was the 25th year so I felt I wanted to keep the bag as a memory of officiating over Michael Phelps.

That and I was alone and could go back easily. the pain was going through bag check and turnstiles again. :headache:
