Hi everyone,

I am getting so excited reading this!! This will be our first Disney cruise!!
We are celebrating my 50th birthday!

Amy, we would love to be a part of the meet and greet . Thank you so much for doing that. Can't wait to see everyone. It will be my husband and me.

See you soon!!

Welcome:) Looking forward to cruising so very soon! See you then!

Just broke down the list of adults, older kids, middle kids, and little kids. I may be putting too much thought into this. I have to have everythign done by the end of the week becuase I will be on a business trip :surfweb: from the Oct. 31 - Nov. 12. I am so ready to get on that ship and start eating :woohoo:

Oh good...I'm not the only one! I had little note cards out with everything listed, counted and sorted. My kids are not impressed by my type A tendencies!

Partially packed and just waiting and waiting and waiting! :rotfl:

I'm packing my stretchy clothes for food indulgence! popcorn::

I am still making the FE gifts!! Man this takes forever :) We will be packing on Nov 13th and 14th. I finally decide to do a per cabin gift bag. Too much thinking involved for per person FE..no more brains left to do that. :rotfl2: All i can think of is sun, food and water

I've got my packing list, and my FE gifts are all in a bag ready to go!

I managed to buy too much stuff to fit into the bags I bought, so I'm going to be giving everyone one big bag, and then 2 smaller gifts on the other 2 nights. I'm just pleased we're not all spread out over too many decks hehe.

What seatings has everyone got for dinner? We're in the second seating :)

We are in the second seating. We were second seating on our last cruise in May and liked the fact that all the kids were either in the first seating or they were so exhausted that they were half asleep. I think second service is a little more relaxing. popcorn::

We're in first seating, but after a year of learning about cruising, I think I would rather have second. Wonder if I can change it?

I would call DCL. Shouldn't be a problem as second dining usually doesn't fill as quickly as first dining. If you can't change by calling, check right away when you get on the ship. They have a designated place for dining changes.

Thanks Amy, I think I will! :)

Give them a call and if there is room than they will change your seating. I am trying to get them to seat us at Parrot Cay on night 1, Tritons on night 2, and then Animators Palate on the last night. They could not guarantee we would get it, but they made a note. Hopefully that will be our rotation. I like the show at Animators Palate, but I enjoyed the food at tritons. Parrot Cay was not a favorite, but it was still good.

All this talk about eating is making me hungry.

I'm afraid that on night one we are going to be so tired we won't make it through dinner! Our flight leaves from OK at 7am that morning...which means we have to be at the airport around 5am!!! :scared1: I'm hoping the excitement keeps us up long enough to enjoy dinner and the show! ;)

If you get switched to the second seating you will catch the shows before you go to dinner. You don't want to miss the shows, especially The Golden Mickeys. Either way you will have a great time and you will be exhausted, but you won't realize you're exhausted until you get home and then you will need a vacation from your vacation.

I follow @DisneyDean on twitter and found out that it snowed last night in Minnesota. I'm betting everyone up north can't wait to get to FL for some heat and humidity.

I live in FL so it is almost always hot and humid here. I wouldn't mind going somewhere a little cooler for vacation, but I would much rather be on a Disney cruise to the Bahamas. pirate:

Hi everyone!!

We just booked today~

Is it too late to join in the FE??

I do think so, although I am not the FE coordinator. I know I have finished all my gifts, as has my other cabin. Most cruises cut off the FE exchange at 30 days ahead. If there is anyone who has extras of their gifts and would like to share, go ahead and post. :goodvibes

At any rate, Welcome! Great luck getting a last minute room...! I had looked recently and didn't see any rooms at all, you must have lucked into a cancellation. :thumbsup2

Hi everyone!!

Hello and welcome:) I am the one in charge of the FE exchange. I'm sorry but I finalized the list a couple weeks ago to give people time to get their items together before traveling. I know I will have some extra items and would be happy to drop some surprises in your FE:) Go ahead and post your stateroom # along with number and ages of persons in the room. I'm sure others will drop items also. Last year we received items from people that weren't even part of the DIS boards:confused3 I think people just love spreading pixie dust:wizard:

Also, if you would like, PM me with your email address or post it here and I can send you the official list of who's participating.

Don't forget about the meet and greet on embarkation day in my cabin 8530 (Roy Disney Suite) at 3pm. Everyone is welcome to attend irregardless of participation in the FE exchange.

Amy
