To all the new dads :welcome:

Well, it's been a feverish past few days here. First it started a week ago Monday when the computer crashed. Lost everything. I mean everything. No backups!! DUMB ME!!! So, i had to spend my down time at work over the weekend feverishly re creating our itineraries for our trip in three days. Then DD comes home from school running a fever and complaining of her throat hurting on friday. Took her back to doctor thinking that the strep throat had come back but luckily it must've been a vius. Plus no call from the doctors office saying the strep culture hAd turned positive. Dodged one there.

Then the kid's break the windsheild on my personal car Sunday night, so I got to spend the morning today waiting for the glass man. Only to have my DW call and say that she had a rock hit her windsheild this morning cracking it. :scared1: Luckily Safelite was able to go to her workplace this morning and fix her car also. Yet another bullet dodged. And finally it looks as if we'll miss out on any tropical storms by a couple of days. Third bullet dodged. Hopefully this means that all the bad stuff that always finds us on our vacation has already come. :thumbsup2

Well me and the guys from my shift are planning to meet and watch The Town tonight. One more night shift and court to go and then It's Disney Time Baby!!!!:banana: Will try to check in while there but I'm not promising anything.

Am I crazy to think about planning a spur of the moment trip for Christmas (12/24-12/28)? Two of my partners have been out for months, so I've been getting a ton of overtime & could really use a vacation. In full disclosure, we're already planning a trip in April...

The only thing better than 1 Disney vacation a year is two Disney vacations a year. Book tomorrow - that is a busy time of year.

Oh I forgot to post about the T-shirt I got this past weekend...

I'm holding out for a Norm one!

Norm: "Well next time, you can do all the cooking, and I'll stand around coming up with evil plans that ultimately fail."

In the I know the answer before asking it category, :rolleyes1

There is no "crazy" when planning a trip to WDW. The "crazy" is NOT planning a trip.
I'll be there then (27 to jan1), but the week before there is a current 25% off promotion i just read about on the disney website.

Woo freaking hoo!!

Just emailed the analysis I've been working on all day (except for the time spent in the car driving to Omaha) to my legal tech. I'll stop by the office and sign it on Thursday, and take care of any other little last-minute loose ends. But that was the big thing. With that out of the way, I can FINALLY just focus on leaving for vacation on Friday!!

My hat's off to you....I could never get that much work done in that close proximity to a Bass Pro Shops:lmao::lmao::lmao:

Waiting for October 17th! DS keeps asking "today we go to Mickey's House?":rotfl2:

Hopefully going to get the new fuel lines on the boat today, so I can chase some green scaly things next week:lmao:

Also, anyone see the video of the Football coaches fighting in Texas?? Man, I'm as competitive as the next guy, but come on people!!!:sad2::sad2:

Does anyone know where I can find the schedule to the Piano player at POR. We are going w/ DW grand parents and they would find that fun. Even I think it is something fun to do.

If I remember correctly, he's there Wednesday - Saturday nights starting at 8:30 p.m. I caught a couple minutes of his show last week, and he's worth your time.

Well, it is pretty short notice, and having trips that close together is never a good idea.
Hey! Look at that, I was able to type that without falling out of my chair! Yes, Go!

kgah-kgah-kgah-kgah (Platypus sound) :lmao:
Anyone care to guess what the new text message notification sound is on my phone? I have it in MP3 in case anyone else wants it. :)

My ring tone for my kid and wife is the quirky worky song. Look it up if you dont understand.

IT Audits...

We had an IT Audit last night...I got dinged for an unsecured USB Storage device. :headache:

In actuallity it was my input for my wireless mouse. :lmao:

I have since put a label on the device...that says...Mouse. popcorn::

Stupid firewall :headache:

Nothing like trying to get some non-work related stuff done only to be blocked by the security naz... I mean employees.

Aaron - Congrats on getting the big thing taken care of. :cool1: The mood in the house must be getting pretty anxious! Keep those hand sanitizer thingies out and at the ready!

Chris - Yes, you are CRAZY for booking at that time... BUT... if you need a break (which sounds like you need one) what better place to let off some steam and relax? GO FOR IT!! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

So it looks like our vacation next year is going to include WDW after all!:woohoo::cloud9: However... it all depends on whether I can get into BWV in March. Still looking into renting DVC points for this trip... and I have received some great advice so far from a couple of dads here. If all works out according to plan, this will be the first year I get to spend my birthday at Disney World!!!:banana::banana:
