Yeesh. I feel like I've been air-surfing on a tornado today, trying to get stuff done that has to be done before I'm gonna. Gotta love it when your biggest client stops by the office and casually mentions that, "that thing I said we needed by the end of October? Well, we actually need it by October 5. And it would be better if we got it sooner."

Guess what, you're getting it before October 1 - because any time after that, it would be late. Guess I'll be up late writing while I'm in Omaha tomorrow.

You have significantly more patience than I do...:lmao::lmao::lmao:

Hmm. Hiding skills. Seems like a common trait among the Fuzzes...

:rolleyes1:rolleyes1:rolleyes1:rolleyes1:lmao::lmao:

Weeellllllllll...Ok, I got nothin':lmao::lmao:

I cranked out 8 miles this morning..the humidity like to have killed me...the heat I had gotten used to, the 100% humidity was tough to get through:headache:

Oooh....I got me some downloadin' to do. Thanks for sharing!

We had a trip that was both exhausting and a lot of fun this past week. Hundreds of pictures to sort through and upload, and I'll try and get a Trip Report going sooner or later here.

Explodo, DNSYFRK, and BirdsLightyear were all down there at various points during the same week, but I didn't get a chance to meet up with them. Hopefully they had a great time and I'll do a better job of meeting up with them in the future.

All in all, everything went great, except for the part where we left our cell phone somewhere in Florida... :confused3
Welcome back! If you're lucky, someone at Disney will find the phone and mail it back to you. If you're really lucky, it will have several of the Princess' phone numbers programmed into it. :thumbsup2

We’ll we had a very eventful weekend down this way. First, I think it only fair that I throw out an official “Band Geek Alert”: :rolleyes1 If the subject of high school marching bands bores you to tears, skip on down to the next post (you won’t offend me one bit :rolleyes:), but as a very proud parent, I just gotta’ write this down somewhere.
Disclaimer: I'm not a band geek. I played trumpet for about 6 months in junior high and decided it just wasn't for me. Regardless, this is quite an accomplishment! Congratulations!

Call me a thrill junkie, but this kind of sounds like fun!
Guess I'll be up late writing while I'm in Omaha tomorrow.
This.....doesn't. :sad1:
Do yourself a favor - put your phone on flight mode while in Florida. No one needs to get ahold of you that bad. Have a great time!

Holy Crap! What was chasing you for 8 miles?!? (There really can't be any other reason to run that far otherwise, is there?:confused3:rotfl2:)

POWNED PAGE OWNAGE!!

Let me see if I can wrap my head around this...you ran on purpose in that kind of humidity? You know your back in the States right? Just want to make sure.

Ended up taking a long weekend by car up to visit my folks in Canton, OH.
Jaynestown? The hero of Canton?

Well, our trip is official! Just had it paid off! Now I have to pay off the family who helped us reach our goal. Meh - small price to pay!

Our trip this year was originally planned in April, though we opted to wait until free dining (QSDP all the way) was announced with the promise to save up a little each month toward the goal. Then the car broke down. Twice. And my son opted to have books instead of the computer-based home school curriculum (adding a lot to the bill), and my daughter's bills from her surgery last year kept rolling in, larger and larger. All of those I can handle as long as we have gas to get there and back and munchies along the way. The real killer came when we found that CSR was not available at all for the time that we were going to take. After much deliberation, we opted to use the same amount of money and get a few more days at a value resort. So, on to the details:

Nov 12-21 @ ASMovies with QSDP, then one day with my wife's family (we had one day with my family last year so this is keeping with tradition), and four gruelling days with my family. Eat some turkey, and drive home.

Now, why don't my days have anything specific planned? Given my wife's condition, we like to play it safe and not plan anything so that we can change those plans at based on how she is doing. That's one of the other reasons that we don't do the table service dining plan - I can't guarantee that we'll be able to follow through on any ADR's. What I can promise, though, is that we will spend at least four days at Epcot. That is easily our favorite park of all.

So, one weight is off our shoulders! Now to the planning and hoping for the rest of our trip. :)

Hmmmm... had to Google that one. While most people respond with "Hall of Fame?" I have never heard the reference to a Firefly episode. Interestingly enough, I don't even recall ever watching any episodes of that series. Thanks for schooling me :thumbsup2

I generally don't like skull and cross bone work days, either! :lmao::lmao: Sorry to hear about CSR being unavailable :guilty: But.... more days at WDW! :cool1: Sounds like a wonderful vacation time you have outlined there.

I'm a fan of the work icons:lmao::lmao:

Looks like fun to me:thumbsup2

By the way, I can't remember if anyone is there now or headed down today, but Nicole is going to soak most of Central and North Florida the next couple of days (which is good for us, we apparently need it...)

I guess it is time I replied. I tend to be the big fan and obsessive planner and navigator (need a 12 step program for it sometimes...). Luckily my teenage son has admitted that he will be willing to continue going even when he is older. Gotta keep him to that promise. Weird part, my son (www.jonathanjazz.com) plays jazz with several of the musicians there and they usually offer spare passes for admissions when playing gigs in Florida. So glad we don't like Vegas instead.

We're big fans of Firefly. My daughter is learning how to crochet and I plan on buying her the "Jayne hat" (another inside Firefly joke) kit for my birthday present.

I tried to be as accurate as possible. :lmao:

My wife kept forgetting when we were going so I eventually just made a picture and emailed it to her so she could keep it on her phone.

/me is a helper! :thumbsup2

Welcome, but I'd just jump right in and not worry too much about catching up. The way this thing takes off sometimes, you'll be lucky just to keep up with the current conversation. This group is pretty good about posting links to prior conversations when a past topic makes a reappearance.

Welcome new guys! Don't be shy, we don't bite. Except maybe for Fed, but we're working on that. :rotfl2:

Oh I forgot to post about the T-shirt I got this past weekend...

perry.jpg

But how will we recognize you without the bright orange Philharmagic shirt? :confused3 :rotfl:

Does anyone know where I can find the schedule to the Piano player at POR. We are going w/ DW grand parents and they would find that fun. Even I think it is something fun to do.

In the I know the answer before asking it category, :rolleyes1

Am I crazy to think about planning a spur of the moment trip for Christmas (12/24-12/28)? Two of my partners have been out for months, so I've been getting a ton of overtime & could really use a vacation. In full disclosure, we're already planning a trip in April...
