im thinking im just going to file away all of this info in the spot of the brain where you know what you are eating but better you dont worry about it.

That's what I do. Just be careful you don't dedicate too large a percentage of brain to this.

kinda like how i told candi one time what the casing for sausages really is and how she makes me peel all of those off when i cook brats and such now.

Great example.

im liking the faunt font.

:thumbsup2

hey marv he is pretty wise in his old age, and not bad trying to smoothly move the teasing over to me now.
:teacher:

Wha? Who, me?

Hey Glen, I just wanted to let you know that I'm here and have been here for a while, catching up on all this. SO MUCH TO CATCH UP ON.

Ok, catch ya later.

(See what I did there? *nudges*)

:welcome: Yuki! I suspected you were lurking out there. Glad I caught you. I'm looking forward to your funny observations and comments!

enjoyed the update glenn, good memories of staying there. thanks for the trip around the resort.

My pleasure.

however, i tried the stitching thing that GB posted with a few of ours and it didnt really work for me, i think i did it wrong.

You have to take many pictures, and make sure that they overlap a bit.

Oh sure, now you tell me....... :rotfl:

I guess that's what I get for answering that phone call from DW before I posted! Last time THAT happens!!!

Don't you have caller-id? Just kidding people!

Oh, I'll be there!

Wonderful...just wonderful. :lmao::lmao:

Day 4 - Part 1

On the fourth day of our trip, June 15th, I got up at 6:30 am, got dressed and went out to take some pictures around Coronado Springs. I snuck out while the others slept for a while longer. After I walked down the steps of my building, I took the lens cap off of the camera to take a picture of the fountain which I had taken a picture of a couple of nights earlier. As soon as the lens cap was off I watched the lens immediately fog up as a result of stepping out of the air conditioned hotel room to the warm, humid air outside. So, I sat at the quiet pool with the lens pointed toward the sun for about 20 minutes, waiting for the lens to clear.

I was finally able to take a picture of the fountains. (The picture from the other night was taken from the other direction.) I think I like the night photo better.

The quiet pool; where I heard all about the American Idol auditions the night before.

And we’re walking, and we’re walking, and we’re stopping.

I attempted a “stitched photo” as inspired by GreatBiscuit. (The process uses free software from Microsoft called Windows Live Photo Gallery.) This particular picture is made up of 12 photos.

The porte cochere of El Centro building.

This is the fountain inside the entryway of El Centro. I’m not sure what was going on with my composition of this photo. I think I was trying to get both the fountain and the settee in the picture, but it’s not arranged very well.

I think it’s interesting how the Mods, (well at least Port Orleans Riverside and Coronado Springs that I’ve seen), are laid-out very similarly regarding where the front desk is in relation to the gift shop and food courts. There are big differences in theming, but the layout is similar.

What a PERFECT update just before I leave on my trip. Your pictures of the CSR bring out the beauty of the resort that we fell in love with 10 years ago. Thank you, Glen.

Well that's just mean. You go and post pictures of CSR, and then I get to read about how Kathy is going to be there in two days. I'm happy that Mr. Arb and I are trying a different hotel this time, but CSR was so pretty.

:rotfl2::rotfl2: Well, if it weren't for Mr. Arb, you'd be back at the CSR. ;)
I think you'll like POR and I can't wait to hear what you think of it. Maybe one of these days we will try it (even for a night or two before going back "home."

Go into your control panel and click on Edit Signature. It should be along the left side of the screen. The link in your signature should be a bracket, followed by "URL" and then a bunch of gobbledygook pointing to your thread. If you look closely, the gobbledygook is listed twice. The first entry is doing the actual "pointing", and the second one is the label. Just delete the second batch of gobbledygook and type in your title. You can also adjust the size and color of this second one to make it appear the way you want.

Hope that helps!

Glenn's explanation works very well, but there even is an easier way to do it:

write the text as you want to appear it in the DIS editor window, as Glenn said you can format it any way you want.

Then open another window in your browser with the page you want to link to.

Copy the link from the browser with "Ctrl C" (or if you are using an old mac like me: "apple C")

go back to your DIS editor and highlight the text which will be the link.

Then go to the tiny button above the editor which has a globe together with a yellow chain link

a window will open into which you can add the link adress you have copied before using "Ctrl V"

Then press ok in that window and in the editor window you will have the [URL... with the adress as well as the text just as Glenn described it. I just find it more user friendly and less nerdy if I do it my way (which I discovered one day by accident when I wanted to add a link and still had some other text highlighted in the editor).

Thanks.....I need all the handholding I can get. I think I got it. I was satisfied with the default font. Evidently once upon a time I knew how to change the fonts and colors because I was able to put my organ donor stuff in there but that must have been a fluke because I don't have a clue how I did it. :confused3

And look - did you see I managed to pull off a double quote too! :thumbsup2

ARRGH!

Your sedate post made me realize I totally spaced on attempting the GB Stitch. I need to go look at my pics but am pretty sure I don't have the right series to do what I planned.

Arrgh arrgh and double arrgh.

Yours turned our lovely though!

Pretty resort.

Since this TR isn't all about me and how I don't know how to work my computer :surfweb: I suppose I should comment on your update. :confused3 Ya' know - since this is your report an all......

I love your pictures of the Coronado in the morning. It looks so calm and peaceful. I've never been to that resort before - it's beautiful. I leave DH in charge of the camera so I've never dealt with the fogged lens before - but there have been a number of times i go outside and think I have gone blind because of the fog :upsidedow

If the 3 of us can't confuse her, I don't know who can! :rotfl2:
Well, you're probably right there, but hopefully we didn't.
Beating you, it seems to me. :lmao:
Yeah, yeah....funny! :headache:
im thinking im just going to file away all of this info in the spot of the brain where you know what you are eating but better you dont worry about it.
What I usually do, unless I really happen to notice it.
kinda like how i told candi one time what the casing for sausages really is and how she makes me peel all of those off when i cook brats and such now.
Oh no you didn't!!!! :sad2:
That's what I do. Just be careful you don't dedicate too large a percentage of brain to this.
Is that possible?? :confused3
Don't you have caller-id? Just kidding people!
Yeah. That's the bad part! :guilty:
Wonderful...just wonderful. :lmao::lmao:
A couple more invites and the takeover will be complete! :woohoo:

This is a really great photo tour. I've never been really interested in Coronado before, but between your and Jack Spence's photo tours, I might give it a try someday. I already love the title of your next installment. :lmao: Been there, done that!

Glad you liked it Kathy. Have a wonderful time at CSR!

It looks good! You're a pro now.

Oooo, sorry to hear that. Sorry sorry and double sorry.

Since this TR isn't all about me and how I don't know how to work my computer :surfweb: I suppose I should comment on your update. :confused3 Ya' know - since this is your report an all......

Well, we do cover a lot of different topics on here. That's for sure.

It's really nice in the morning...as long as it's not too humid.

I know! You walk off those Disney buses and your glasses completely fog over. It gives my kids one more reason to laugh at me. (As if they needed one more reason.)

Yeah, yeah....funny! :headache:

I liked it.

Is that possible?? :confused3

Not in my case.

A couple more invites and the takeover will be complete! :woohoo:

pirate:

This is a really great photo tour. I've never been really interested in Coronado before, but between your and Jack Spence's photo tours, I might give it a try someday.

There are so many resorts, and they all have a lot to offer. You pretty much can't go wrong.

I already love the title of your next installment. :lmao: Been there, done that!

I know...sooo many have gone before me, er, I mean whoever that statement was in reference to.

Absolutely beautiful pictures! I think every Disney resort has it's own beauty and charm.

The stitch photo is fabulous. I hope GB gets on and sees it.

As soon as I saw the fountain inside the receptions area I thought the same thing. This layout looks just like French Quarter.

You didn't get much breakfast but your such a giver.

I'm guessing y'all hit Blizzard Beach next.

I love the pictures! I think that's the first time I've seen CSR...prettier than I expected.

It took me a few days but I'm all caught up!!:banana:

Test Track looks like so much fun - I can't believe I haven't been on it yet!

I can only imagine how strange your son must have thought it was that you wanted him to pose in front of the restroom!! :lmao:

I loved the Idol report. What a great experience for your daughters! It sounds like they are so close! Reminds me of my sister and I. They will always cherish that memory.

LOVE the Coronado pics!! You really get a feel of how relaxing a morning it was for you! :thumbsup2

Unbelievably, I'm all caught up. LOVE that you have truly gifted kids (all 3) inside and out. It's a thing of great beauty to hear them compliment each other and express their love!! Kudos!

Wish I could have gotten to CSR to check it out.... next time, right.

I know, I'm just repeating waht others have already written - but GREAT pictures! Exploring in the morning is always good!

Beautiful pictures!!! CSR is such a picturesque resort, I love it.

And what a nice way to start the morning with a walk around the property and yummy food!

It's 10:20 pm here... And I am a grown-up, so I am allowed to stay up a bit longer than 9pm... ;)

Oh sure, now you tell me....... :rotfl:

I guess that's what I get for answering that phone call from DW before I posted! Last time THAT happens!!!

Oh you guys make me laugh!!! :lmao:

Absolutely beautiful pictures! I think every Disney resort has it's own beauty and charm.

Thank you. Absolutely – that’s one of the many things they’re very good at.

The stitch photo is fabulous. I hope GB gets on and sees it.

Thanks. I’m sure he will.

As soon as I saw the fountain inside the receptions area I thought the same thing. This layout looks just like French Quarter.

I don’t think I explained it very well, but when I was there I could definitely sense how similar they were.

You didn't get much breakfast but your such a giver.

Too funny. I’m not usually a big breakfast eater.

I'm guessing y'all hit Blizzard Beach next.

You’ll have to wait and see.

I love the pictures! I think that's the first time I've seen CSR...prettier than I expected.

Thank you. It’s a very beautiful resort. There are lots of areas that are very photogenic – with fountains and such.

It took me a few days but I'm all caught up!!:banana:

Test Track looks like so much fun - I can't believe I haven't been on it yet!

Oh yeah, you need to do Test Track. It’s a ride, you’ll like it.

I can only imagine how strange your son must have thought it was that you wanted him to pose in front of the restroom!! :lmao:

I know. Someday I’ll probably hear about it, and all of the other quirky things.

I loved the Idol report. What a great experience for your daughters! It sounds like they are so close! Reminds me of my sister and I. They will always cherish that memory.

Thanks. I’m glad I was able to get them to do the write-up.

Wow, I’m impressed that you’re caught up already. Aw, thanks!

Wish I could have gotten to CSR to check it out.... next time, right.

We all many things on our ‘next time’ list, don’t we?! I guess that’s a good thing…keeps us coming back.

Love the CSR pics! I can't wait to be there...not too much longer now!

Thank you Nory! You’ll enjoy it. Do some “book research”.

I know, I'm just repeating waht others have already written - but GREAT pictures! Exploring in the morning is always good!

Thank you! I really enjoy taking a little photo stroll.

Beautiful pictures!!! CSR is such a picturesque resort, I love it.

And what a nice way to start the morning with a walk around the property and yummy food!

Thanks Brook! Yes, it is a beautiful resort and it’s a great way to start the day by walking around and taking it all in.

Oh you guys make me laugh!!! :lmao:

Me too. The banter in between the chapters is very entertaining!

You mean we're actually supposed to read the TR update? I thought the comments were there to separate the pictures to make it harder to scan the pictures for Judy's

BTW, loved all the pictures you took while walking around, Flo! :rotfl2: It does look like a nice resort. And that "next time" list; one of the joys of DVC! :thumbsup2 Always planning for "next time!" :cool1:

Day 4 - Part 1

On the fourth day of our trip, June 15th, I got up at 6:30 am, got dressed and went out to take some pictures around Coronado Springs.
Ooo, that was fun - thank you! I don't think I've mentioned here or on my TR, but we stayed at CSR Labor Day Wknd. - my first stay there since they rehabbed the rooms. LOVED. IT. I've always been a huge fan of the grounds, but the rooms never excited me. Not anymore; I think it jsut beat out CBR as my favorite Mod! :thumbsup2

I never thought about it before, but you're absolutely right!

I realize that this chapter is kind of sedate. But, I suppose that’s a good representation of how the morning had been, so far.
:thumbsup2 Sedate is good. :)

You mean we're actually supposed to read the TR update? I thought the comments were there to separate the pictures to make it harder to scan the pictures for Judy's

No Marv...those words he puts in there actually tell a story about their trip! Kinda a neat concept, eh? ;)

:rotfl:

Gotta give you that one...you're the only one who picked up on that, or at least mentioned it anyway. Funny thing though, it came to me when I was writing, and I had to think where I'd heard it.

It does look like a nice resort. And that "next time" list; one of the joys of DVC! :thumbsup2 Always planning for "next time!" :cool1:

Exactly!

You're welcome! No, I didn't know that you were there recently. I agree, the rooms are really nice!

Gracias.

I never thought about it before, but you're absolutely right!

::yes::

:thumbsup2 Sedate is good. :)

Absolutely, especially on vacation.

No Marv...those words he puts in there actually tell a story about their trip! Kinda a neat concept, eh? ;)

Brook's got my back Marv. :rotfl2:

Thanks Brook! ;)
