Okay, first let me say that I am not normally a complainer, but if I pay to stay at a Disney Resort, I expect Disney quality service.
We stayed at the FW Cabins from Aug 22-Aug 31. Overall, I was not impressed. I did know what to expect, or at least I thought I did. The cabin we had, 2446, was in desperate need of an overhaul. When we first arrived, the bathroom sink faucet was not attached to the sink, the bathroom sink was always stopped up, the shower curtain was ripped and attached incorrectly, when the toilet flushed the kitchen sink backed up, there was a missing outlet cover in the bedroom, the refrigerator was dirty and dented on the outside, some of the kitchen cabinets were dirty and broken inside and the dishwasher was not installed correctly and looked like it had been there since they opened. Now, most of these items I could live with, but the toilet and the sink was nasty. It took 2 1/2 days for someone to fix it. The only other item that was fixed was the bathroom sink faucet. They said they would switch cabins for us, but by then we were settled. Truth be told, we didn't spend much time in the cabin, but I did expect a little better quality. It makes me wonder if all of the cabins are like that and it is just part of the woodsy theme. The one bathroom was not very convenient with 5 people, but having a full kitchen is great for us. Even the laundry room equipment was run down.
The resort itself was okay. We took the boat to MK one day, we had a car for the other parks, and rented a golf cart for one day. The resort is very big, so if you are not renting a car, you have to allow extra travel time from the campground to the parks. It was nice to have the outpost there to pick up milk and bread. The new pool slide is a lot of fun.
All in all, I would give the cabins at FW a low B-.
I will be posting a full trip report soon.
