Once Upon a Christmastime! A Nov. 2010 PTR! *Update 12/12, Disney Blues, pg 61! :( *

LMAO!!! Ok, you win!!!!

Well, in our case, we just can't put down a deposit yet. I'm paying off October and they're struggling to keep their lights on :guilty: She lost one of her jobs, so she's only working part-time and his job doesn't pay very well, plus she needs knee surgery and lost her insurance with her job and he doesn't get insurance through his... Yeah. Thankfully, if things don't work out for the trip, we can cancel it and get our money back.

We can't put a deposit yet either. We have Brady's birthday in Oct, my birthday in Nov, Christmas in Dec, our 11th anniversary in Jan, Valentine's Day in Feb & Shelby's birthday in April! We are hoping with taxes we can book & pay off all at once like we did last trip.

 That's a lot of big things all in a row! Not to mention Easter! :lmao: I think we're leaning toward using our tax returns as well, but it won't pay for the whole trip. Mine should pay for the majority of my part, though.

How in the world did I forget Easter?!?! Shelby was BORN on Easter Sunday 2009! And if I want to continue, Koby's birthday in June & then get ready for school. And I forgot Ben's 30th birthday is Sept 12!!!!

God, tell me about it  I can't believe this summer has flown by so quickly! On the one hand, I'm glad I didn't decide on this trip until July, but on the other, it would've been easier if I'd decided sooner :lmao: That sucks about not getting to see your DH :( I totally understand, though. I rarely see my parents except on my days off or for about 15-30 minutes before I leave for work.

Mine's due Sept 7. I wanted it paid off with this check, but that's just not happening :sad1: Oh well :) It'll be paid off with my next check and then I'll get my paperwork in the mail and all will be grand  I don't have a car payment, but I had something that was similar in cost over the last few months. Thankfully, this was the last payment I had to make on it :banana:

Ugh yeah, I can't stand my DH's job. He got screwed today, they changed his hours from 6-2:30 to 12-8:30 and just told him last night, so he's pretty mad. :sad2: They also told him not to make any plans for this weekend, so my weekend is probably going to suck. :confused3 Now I really can't wait for Disney World. I'm so glad I added that extra day on.

I'm so sick of my car payment...I have it until next November then I'm free!!! I have to check how much we have saved, I really would like to pay off Disney next week, but I don't know if I can, and if not, I might as well just wait until the end of September! I just want to pay it off and then start saving for spending money and Universal tix!

I don't know what is worse, paying on it or planning the trip & can't put a deposit down yet or pay it off!

That's why I'm hoping for a bounceback offer when we go in November for the next year...if we get one, I want to put a deposit down for next October just so I know we're going, because my DH thinks we're not going at all next year! But if I get a bounceback it will be soooo much easier to convince him! :rotfl: I hope you get to put down your deposit soon! :goodvibes

Hi everyone!

I only have 11 weeks left til my trip! I can't wait! Since I usually only do one real update here on my PTR on the weekends, (unless I do something crazy like adding a day or change my ADR's yet again)I'm trying to get organized with what I want to talk about for the next 11 weeks! I decided I want to start off with trip flashbacks of my 2008 and 2009 trips with Brandon! I like reading about other people's flashbacks so I figured I'd give it a try!

Oh yes, and I lost 2.5 pounds this week! :cool1: That's 6 all together. If I can lose another 16 by my trip I'll be happy. Why 16? Well...it will get me under a certain weight that I'd really like to be under! :rotfl: If I could lose 20, that would be great, but I'll be happy with 16!

Oh! And I bought a binder and some sheet protectors today at Wal Mart, so I will be starting my trip binder soon! I have no idea how I want to do it so I'll be stalking some PTR's for ideas! If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know!

Ok I'm going to start my 2008 trip flashback in a few minutes, but I'm going to do it in a separate post! Stay tuned! :surfweb:

2008 Trip Flashback!

When-September 21-27
Where-All Star Music Resort
Who-Brandon and I!

Just a little background about this trip-we only took about 3 months to save and plan for this trip, we decided to go in June and were planning for September. We went at the very end of value season and there was an end of summer room discount, so the room was super cheap! I didn't get a package, instead, I had my mom buy us tickets at AAA using her discount (which was like $3 a day or something not even worth it! :rotfl:)! We didn't do the dining plan, we had no ADR's, and we had 4 day park hoppers, which I thought was a lot at the time! HA! Little did I know! :rotfl2:

This was my first "adult" trip that I planned alone...yes I had been places without my parents before this trip, but this was the first one that I planned, did the research on, and paid for myself. So I didn't really know what I was doing, but everything ended up ok! And this was also before the DIS, I got all of my info from Disney guide books!

I should also mention this trip was Brandon's first trip to WDW and my first time back in 11 or 12 years, so lots of things were different for me! And we took practically no pictures...I don't know why! :confused3 I think we were just too caught up in everything that we just didn't think to take pictures! I think we took maybe 150 over the whole week! If you go to the beginning of my PTR you can see 2 of the pictures from that trip, the one of me in Pooh's tree and the one of Brandon and I with Donald. There are only maybe 4 pictures of me from this whole trip, and those are 2 of them!:rotfl2:

September 20-21 (I should mention first that there are NO pictures from this day, so I'll just write about what I can remember and get it out of the way! The rest of this will have pictures!)

Anyway, I remember the night before I was SO excited that I could not sleep! We were taking an early flight so I was making us leave for the airport at 3 am, which Brandon was not happy about! :rotfl: I tried to sleep, but he was snoring SO loud that I had to in a different room...I passed out for maybe an hour and woke right up at like 2 something to get ready!

We got to the airport very quickly...and had like 3 hours to kill before our flight! Needless to say, Brandon wasn't thrilled with that...I was being cautious! I live in CT, we have traffic 24 hours a day on our major highways, Simba22 can back me up on this! :rotfl: I was so freaked out that we would get caught in some freak Hartford traffic and miss our flight!

Eventually we boarded the plane and got ready to take off...and I freaked out! This was my first time on a plane since I went to CA alone 10 years before and I was scared out of my mind! I started having a panic attack and crying hysterically as the plane was taking off...I had my head buried in Brandon's arm and I couldn't look up. A flight attendant asked Brandon if I was ok and he said yes, that I was just a little nervous. She was really sweet to be so concerned!

I calmed down eventually, and finally, after what seemed like forever, we arrived in Orlando! I had only been to this airport once before, when I was 7 and did not remember it at all! We got our luggage and went to the Alamo desk and got our car...we were so excited that we could pick out our own car with Alamo! I think we got a white Chevy Cavalier that had leather seats in it!

It was around maybe 11 or 12 when we left the airport and I knew we couldn't check in til 3 so we went to DTD! I don't have any pictures, but DTD looked so different to me, it was huge! :rotfl: We wandered around in the hot weather for a while until deciding to eat at Earl of Sandwich, where I fell in LOVE with this place! While Brandon was ordering, I called my mom and told her how I freaked out and cried on the plane! Only me! :rotfl:

Eventually we got to ASMu and checked in, and they gave us our room...we were in the Jazz section, first floor, corner room. It was a great location, as close to the pools and the main building as you could be without paying for a preferred location!

I don't know what we did for the rest of the day. :confused3 I know we drove around downtown Orlando for a while looking for a grocery store, and we stopped at Walgreens because I was ALREADY getting blisters! I didn't know anything about blister prevention back then, and just walking around DTD gave me blisters from my pink mary jane crocs!

I'm guessing we probably went to bed pretty early that night because we had to be up early the next day, for our first day at the parks! I didn't have an itinerary planned for this trip, we basically went to whatever park had magic hours. So the next day we were going to AK in the morning for magic hours. I was so excited, this was going to be my first time at AK, and Brandon's first Disney park ever! I just hoped he would love it as much as I do!

Up next, our first day in the parks! With pictures, I promise...and less words! :rotfl:

Yay! Congrats on the weight loss!

I can't wait to read your trip flashbacks and see your binder!! :goodvibes

Thanks!!! I just stared my trip flashback, it's kind of long, but I thought I'd be a little more detailed for the first day since I had no pictures for it! :rotfl:

I don't know when I'm going to start my binder, maybe tomorrow, but I have to do some research first! I need ideas for covers and I have to figure out how to print in Disney font! :rotfl:

Oooh, 11 weeks only?! That is not bad at all...your trip will be here before you know it!!!

Yay for the binder!!!

I saw your post on my PTR, I just searched for Dinsey fonts on here and there were a bunch of threads started already.

Not sure if this is the site I used but I have 2 WDW fonts, Waltograph and another Disney one (not sure of the name?) but there are a ton more now than when I downloaded mine. After I downloaded it, it went into my Microsoft Word for me to use!

If you are unsure of directions, I know some of the threads had set by step instructions but I don't remember it being too hard!

At the bottom of this page, it tells you how to set up your new font!! I don't know which system you have so here is the link for that too!

I know, I can't wait! We're counting down each weekend by watching a Disney movie...last weekend it was The Princess and the Frog...not sure what tonight will be, maybe The Aristocats!

Loving the mini TR trip! Guess I gave you an idea huh? LOL! Blisters already! EEK!!!!

LOL yeah, I kind of stole your idea! :rotfl: I know it's kind of boring right now with no pictures, but the first day was just us getting there and figuring everything out! The next installment should be better, I hope! I gotta go through my pictures and try to remember what we did!:)

Thanks! I actually just did a search on google and found an amazing website with fonts and clip art and everything, it might be mickeyavenue.com, I'm not sure! But I downloaded the font and it went into my Iwork (I have a Mac so I didn't know if it would even work!) and now everything I type can be in Disney font! I wasn't planning on starting the binder yet but I was so excited about the font and the clip art, I made my binder cover already! It's similar to yours, but Christmasy!:cool1:

Yeah, it's rough trying to figure out what all we did 3 years ago!

Yay, for 11 weeks.

:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo: for 2.5 more pounds (and a total of 6). :banana::banana:

And I like the idea of your flashbacks -- that is a great concept. Can't wait for more.
