Once Upon a Christmastime! A Nov. 2010 PTR! *Update 12/12, Disney Blues, pg 61! :( *

CSR is going to offer preferred rooms? That's good news! I'm not going to switch resorts, although I did consider it, the rooms look so pretty and I like the fact that they are new...POR looks beautiful but the rooms definitely look like they could use an update! We'll see when I get there!

I can't wait to see the Dwarfs either! :cool1: I still can't believe they are going to be at MVMCP! I have never seen any Dwarfs other than in the parades. I asked a CM where Dopey was when I was waiting in line for Snow White at Epcot last year and the CM said Dopey has been downsized. :sad1: I was so upset, I didn't even bother waiting for Snow White after that!

Ugh...I don't know what is up with my ear. It doesn't feel like it's getting any better. I still have like 5 days left of my antibiotics but I feel like I'm going to need to go back to the stupid dr. Something tells me this isn't a simple ear infection. My DH thinks it's allergies. :confused3

Actually, beginning in January, both POR-Riverside and CSR are going to have preferred rooms (which, like CBR, will cost you).

I hate that they keep "downsizing" with the characters. We were talking about Cape May Cafe's breakfast the other day and it is only three characters--it should be at least four. :sad2:

I don't have much to update on today. :confused3 Nothing new with my trip right now...although I was looking around the DIS last night and for some reason I was starting to think I should switch resorts to Coronado Springs! :rotfl: I'm not going to do it, but it just looks so pretty...maybe next year!

We stayed at CSR for the first time in 2007 and I fell in love with it. Then we stayed at POFQ in 2008 and I fell in love with THAT! We went back in 2009 and we were trying to save money so we stayed at Pop...We both agreed on the 2nd day of that trip that we were going back to moderates after that! Although, I want to stay at the Animation resort when it opens and I don't care if there are only two of us...we WILL be staying in a family suite specifically because it's The Lion King section! And I do actually want to try ASMu at some point. I really liked ASMo and Music looks like a lot of fun! I am glad to be going back to CSR this year though. I will take lots of pics for you! :goodvibes

I was also looking around the DIS last night and came across the MVMCP tips and hints thread, and looked at the characters who are supposed to be there this year, and guess who is on the list? THE SEVEN DWARFS!!!!

NICE!! I've seen them out at the Halloween Party but I just have no desire to wait in line for 2+ hours to meet them.

And in other news...I weighed myself this morning and apparently gained 2 pounds back. :confused3 I don't understand how I could gain 2 pounds in a week, but I guess I can. I'm really frustrated, I almost cried when I got on the scale today. I only have 12 weeks left until my trip...so losing 30 pounds isn't even an option anymore. :sad2: I guess I'm going to have to start doing weight watchers, which I was trying to avoid because I need to keep losing, I can't just lose for a couple weeks then gain half the weight back. I was doing so good for the last few weeks and now all the sudden...2 pounds back, just like that. :sad1: I really have to get more serious about this over the next 12 weeks...hopefully I can lose at least 24 pounds by my trip if I lose 2 pounds each week. We'll see! I'm even considering going to WW meetings again!

Ugh, don't even get me started! :sad2: I started WW "unofficially" back in February (meaning that my parents paid for the program and went to the meetings and my mom just got me a set of the books and told me how to follow it and I did it on my own). I was doing REALLY well for a few months and then I stopped tracking my points. I still measure out a lot of my food, but I don't even want to know what I weigh. I started at 235...I got down to 214 and that was in May, maybe? But since then, I haven't even touched my scale except to move it out of the way when I'm cleaning the bathroom floor. I don't think I'm doing horribly but if I get on that scale and its back to 220 or more I will sink into a depression and eat cookies and ice cream to make myself feel better. Which, of course, would be counterproductive.

That's good news about the preferred rooms! I wish they had them at POR now, I'd gladly spend the extra money to have a close room to the main buildings. Oh well, just gotta hope I get my requests! :)

There are so many characters that are not going to be at MVMCP this year that were there last year. No more Scrooge McDuck. :( No more Alice in Wonderland characters! I wanted my picture taken with Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum, but nope, they're gone, and I didn't have time last year. So I get the Dwarfs, but lose lots of others. :confused3

I want to stay in the Animation resort too...the only value I've stayed at was ASMu and I really liked it, so I have no problem with values! I'd probably want to be in the Lion King section too, or the Little Mermaid. Yes, please take lots of pictures of CSR!

The line for the Dwarfs at the Halloween party is 2 hours??? :scared1: There's no way I'm wasting 2 hours waiting for them if that's the time it takes to meet them at the Christmas party. 45 minutes is the most I will wait!

WW is annoying because once you feel like you can do it, you stop tracking points and thinking you're doing ok and you're not! I really liked going to the meetings and having to weigh in in public every week, but it also got to be annoying...I'd get home from work and the last thing I wanted to do was go to a meeting! But I know it works so I'm going to do it this week (although I haven't tracked anything today yet!) and I'm gonna really do a lot of exercise this week. I really need to lose at least 25 pounds before I go in November...and then I have to concentrate on losing another 50 more when I get back! Ughhhhh...:rotfl:

All caught up & I love the countdown calendar! I may steal that idea for next trip, a lot less work than the countdown chain I did!

Soooo...I knew I'd be making changes to my itinerary again, I mean, I still have so long until November, but I didn't think I'd be doing it this soon! :rotfl2: But I made some changes and I'm really happy with them, much happier than the original plans I had!

11/13 Saturday
Cancelled Boma at 7:40
Added LTT at 12:30

11/14 Sunday
Cancelled CP at 8:25
Added Boma at 7:45

11/17 Wednesday
Cancelled LTT at 12
Added CP at 8:30

The reason I did this was simple...rope drop at MK! I have never seen the show and I have to see it this trip! I was planning to do it on Wednesday, but by then the vacation is almost over and I'll be getting depressed by then! I also felt like I needed to go to MK as soon as possible...we always do Epcot on our first day, but I couldn't wait til Saturday night to go to MK!

I decided to see if there was a way I could keep all 3 restaurants because I really want to go to them all, and they were all available for the times I wanted! And all I had to do was swap MK and AK on Saturday and Sunday. Which actually works out better because I know we will be tired our first night there and now we can sleep in a little...we have to get to MK by 8:45 or so instead of Boma at 7:40 the next day! Now we will be doing MK twice on Saturday, but that's fine with me, because we will be getting there so late on Saturday for the dessert party and magic hours! :cool1:

Hopefully this will be the end of the changes to my itinerary/ADR's for now! I will post an updated itinerary closer to my trip, or if I make any changes again!

I'm betting we'll see something before November. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

great changes!! It's great that you're still able to make easy changes like that!!! I can't tell you when the last time it was I saw MK rope drop, probably since before I had worked at WDW so it's been 3+ years. We always seem to head to MK in the afternoon/evening for night EMH. It would be nice to see it one of these days haha

People actually start lining up at 4pm when they start letting the party guests into the park! They just go and sit down and wait! The party starts at 7 and I think Snow White and the Dwarfs don't come out until 7:30! We got there right at 7pm and by the time we got over there (they were lining up right across from the Teacups), the line was down to the entrance to Toontown! It was INSANE! Maybe if you go in September, or the day after Halloween it's not so bad. :confused3

My goal was to lose 35lbs total before our trip to WDW. I got about 1/2 way there before I stopped tracking points. I don't feel any different so it feels pointless to weigh myself. I know I haven't lost the weight and I am in no mood to go to the gym so there is no point in depressing myself further!

I'm glad you were able to make the changes you wanted! There is nothing wrong with changing plans! And like you, I was much happier with my itinerary after I tweaked it a few times! Sometimes, you need to rework your plans to get them just right!

I haven't been to LTT since 2007...that was a really good meal...I'll have to see about getting it into the schedule for next year!

We haven't been to Boma since 2008 and it's not on the schedule for this year but I do miss that French Toast! Just getting there in the morning was too much of a pain without a car.

We also haven't been to CP since 2008 but there are just too many other places I want to try! Maybe next year, since we are going to a lot of new restaurants for breakfast this year!

I'm sorry about your weight gain too! :goodvibes Although only gaining 2 pounds in Italy is an accomplishment...if I ever go there, I'll probably gain 10 from eating all day! :rotfl: Do you know what you're going to do to try to lose 20 pounds by October? We're almost going for the same goal, you want to lose 20 by October and I want to lose 30 by November! We can do it, let's keep each other motivated!! :dance3:

I counted and I've got about 7 weeks until I need to get on with this dress shopping! I'm planning on doing a modified phase one of the South Beach diet for two weeks and I'm hoping to get off 10 pounds (or close to it) then. Normally in phase one you eat no carbs what so ever, which caused me to loose 12 pounds in the first week I did it the first time! That's really hard though, so this go around I'm just going to cut out all breads and potatoes. Carbs will come only from fruits and maybe occasionally some corn. The other weeks I'll just really limit my carb intake (maybe one bread a day) and try to just not eat alot. Oh, and get back to the gym...:rolleyes1 I probably won't end up loosing 20 pounds because I don't have that long, but I'm going to try my best! I'd be happy with 15.

All caught up & I love the countdown calendar! I may steal that idea for next trip, a lot less work than the countdown chain I did!

LOL go ahead, feel free to steal the countdown calendar! :rotfl: I wanted to do a chain, I just didn't have time, maybe next year! :)

Great changes! I'm glad you are getting to do everything you want! :thumbsup2

Thanks! I'm surprised all the restaurants still had ADR's at the times I wanted, especially CP, I thought that would be booked! :woohoo:

I'm betting we'll see something before November. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

LOL I hope not! I'm really happy with how things turned out after these most recent changes!

Thanks! :goodvibes I know, I'm so happy it was so easy to get the ADR's I wanted at those times, I really thought something would have been booked and then the whole plan wouldn't have worked! I can't wait to see MK rope drop our first full day there, I feel like it will be welcoming us to Disney World! :rotfl2:

I can't believe the line gets so crazy for the dwarfs at MNSSHP! If it's like that at the Christmas party, there's no way I'm waiting! I want to, but i don't want to spend the whole party in line!

I know what you mean about not wanting to weigh yourself! :goodvibes I don't like it unless the scale tells me good news! :rotfl: I read in Shape magazine a few days ago that if you're trying to lose weight you should weigh yourself every day!

I'm really happy with my itinerary changes...something about it before I changed it was bothering me, but now I'm so happy with it! Hopefully it will stay this way til November! :rotfl:

I can't wait to try Boma and LTT! I've heard such great things about both! I wouldn't bother doing Boma if we didn't have a car, but we have to rent a car, I can't rely on the buses! :rotfl:

I LOVE Crystal Palace! I think it's probably going to be one of those places we have to go on every trip! I love the Pooh characters and the breakfast is so good!

That's right, I remember now that you did the SB diet! :) I just can't do that, cutting out carbs is just so hard for me...I think cutting out white flour is the most I could ever do, which is what I've been doing for the past few weeks! Although losing 12 pounds in a week sounds tempting...

Good luck, I hope you get to lose your 15! :goodvibes I hope I can lose 20-30 by my trip! :yay:

Change is good!!!!! I'm glad they all worked out for you!

Thanks!! I hope this is it for the changes for a while!

:rotfl: I keep thinking it's further away than it really is. It amazes me that my final payment is two in thirteen days, although it'll be a few days late, since I don't get paid again until the 10th. My check this week is already spoken for, but oh well.

 We'll be there soon enough! :)

Yay being able to change your dining to the way you wanted. Well, until you change your mind again!:rotfl: I like to change my trip around, or atleast dream of it.

LOL I know, in a few days it will be September and time will start flying by! My DH only has tomorrow and up until Wednesday of next week to work days, then he's back to working nights again. The next time I'll get to see him for more than 2 days in a row will be at Disney. :sad1:

My final payment is due Sept. 28. I wanted to pay it off at the end of August, but I don't have enough yet. A couple more weeks and I should be good. I hate the weeks I have my car payment because my whole freakin check goes to that and I can't put money aside for Disney, so that sets me back! Ughh!! :scared1:

Thanks! I don't think I will change my mind again...the only thing I'm questioning is Ohana before the Christmas party, and that's not so much because I don't want to go there, I DO! But I'm wondering if it's going to take a long time and if I should just go to Kona like last year? We were pretty much the first ones seated at Kona last year, at exactly 5:00 and we were in and out of there so fast, it was great! I feel like Ohana might be a little longer than that, and I will be anxious to get to MVMCP! :rotfl: We'll see!

God, tell me about it  I can't believe this summer has flown by so quickly! On the one hand, I'm glad I didn't decide on this trip until July, but on the other, it would've been easier if I'd decided sooner :lmao: That sucks about not getting to see your DH :( I totally understand, though. I rarely see my parents except on my days off or for about 15-30 minutes before I leave for work.

Mine's due Sept 7. I wanted it paid off with this check, but that's just not happening :sad1: Oh well :) It'll be paid off with my next check and then I'll get my paperwork in the mail and all will be grand  I don't have a car payment, but I had something that was similar in cost over the last few months. Thankfully, this was the last payment I had to make on it :banana:

I don't know what is worse, paying on it or planning the trip & can't put a deposit down yet or pay it off!
