Where Pixie-Dusted Birthday Dreams Come True! A July Trip Report! PTR Link! Pg. 116

Great update! Le Cellier is one of my fave places for dinner! I can't believe how grown up Chelsea looks! The birthday phone call from Goofy is too cool!

Can't wait for the next update!

DROOL! Le cellier is amazing! Very cool about Goofys phone call, we got a couple from minnie and mickey on our honeymoon. I love that you were able to explore the countries a little, thats def. on our list for next time!

So cute that you got phone calls from Mickey and Minnie! Le Cellier was very good -- love that soup! We have done more than our fair share of exploring countries -- we always love browsing through the shops.

So cool about the birthday phone call....I didn't even know they did that! Chelsea ordered her meal just like I would have! Yum!

I didn't know they did that, either! We were completely surprised!

I just about spit out my morning OJ - Chelsea checking herself in the silverware?! :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl: I LOVE it! Oh Momma, you're in for a fun few years......

Wasn't that a hoot??? I about died laughing when she did that!

But Le Cellier looked divine. :lovestruc I could eat large quantities of that soup!

Me too! I resisted licking the bowl when I was finished!

I have to agree that your artistic looking side entree didn't even look appetizing to me in the least! It looks like it's wrapped in the salmon's skin.

It was so bizarre! I couldn't figure out what the wrapping was!

Chelsea's was more my style as well!:goodvibes
What did you think of the creme brulee?
I know you aren't much of a steak eater but did you taste the fillet?

The creme brulee was good -- I am not a big fan of creme brulee but we went with it since that was what Chelsea wanted. I did try the fillet -- it was very tasty!

I have a feeling I know who the cranky-pants was...:rolleyes1

And you would be correct!

That's cool for Chelsea to get that phone call! She's too funny looking at herself in the silverware. My girls do that but for completely different reasons - they like to see if they are reflected upside down or it makes their faces look funny.

Just wait -- once they hit the teenage/middle school years, any reflective surface becomes a mirror to check hair and make-up. :rotfl:

Your meals sound yummy! It's been too long since I ate at LeCellier. Did your salmon come two ways? Did you try the egg roll like things? Seems a little odd.

My salmon did come two ways, and I really liked it -- the sides not so much.

Can't wait to hear how your KP mission went - I wonder who gets cranky? Maybe someone in need of a GG slushie?

Maybe...:rolleyes1;)

For some reason this made me :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:. I know what you mean.;)

Somehow I do better when my "grumpy" just does not come along. :rotfl:

My Grumpy did remarkably well on this trip, so I can't say too much. :goodvibes

   at Chelsea checking her make-up in the silverware! Love the smile on her face while talking to Goofy on the phone. That was very cool!

We all laughed at her when she did that! The phone call was so neat and unexpected.

I'm so glad you enjoyed Le Cellier! And the b-day phone call was just too cute. Awesome piece of magic!! My meal would have been the same as Chelsea's too. Oh those cream cheese mashed potatoes... :cloud9:

I ate quite a bit of Connor's mashed potatoes -- they were delicious!

Amen to that sister!

I know there have been moments when I wished I was on a girls-only trip. ;)

The gardens around Le Cellier are so pretty and peaceful. So glad you got to explore that area closer.

It was like being in an entirely different world -- so quiet and peaceful.

Chelsea talking in the phone is cute. :)

We were so tickled by that experience!!!

Pretzel bread dipped in cheese soup - :thumbsup2

Oh, yes! I tried that combination, and it was heavenly!

Glad you enjoyed Le Cellier...we really like eating there everytime we go although we may be going for lunch more now that it is a 2 TS for dinner.

I have to admit that I was a little shocked to read that Le Cellier is going to two TS credits. We liked our meal there, but I don't think it is really a signature restaurant.

Chelsea is too funny checking her make-up in the silverware.

Chelsea is always so concerned with how she looks, but I guess I was the same way at her age. Now, I just want to be comfortable and reasonably put together.

You took some great pictures on the way to dinner and even after!

Thanks! I don't feel like I did as well on this trip with pictures -- it was kind of hit or miss.

Your meal at Le Cellier looks delicious and I love the pic of Chelsea eying her makeup in the silverware.

Morocco looks like a beautiful pavilion, especially at night

Can't wait for more:goodvibes

Thank you! Dinner was delicious, and Chelsea certainly kept us amused! I love Morocco -- normally we explore it a bit more, but Connor was ready to get to his Kim Possible mission, so I just snapped a picture as we walked quickly by.

Great Update CP!

I loved Chelsea checking her makeup.....and just think...the teen years have only just begun:lmao: Love Le Cellier, it's definitely one of our favorites!

Can't wait to hear about your KP missiion!

Thanks! I know I am in for much more fun as she moves through these teenage years.

I am glad we can finally say we have eaten at Le Cellier.

I took LOTS of pictures during our Kim Possible mission this year.

I've just now caught up! I love that Chelsea was checking her makeup in the silverware. Great trip so far, especially with the lost camera fiasco :thumbsup2

Thanks! Chelsea cracks me up -- she is always checking her hair and make-up anytime she can find something to see her reflection in. LOL!

Beautiful pictures around the UK and Canada while you waited for dinner. :goodvibes Your meals sound lovely; so glad you enjoyed them! :thumbsup2

Thanks! Our meal was very tasty! That soup was just as good as I thought it would be.

I'm thinking you *still* don't get to ride Soarin'? :rolleyes1

Maybe...:rolleyes1;)

OOOH Le Cellier...how I love thee....it is a great meal!! I have to agree though, the sides to your salmon dish didn't look all that appealing!! Of course I'm not a big seafood fan and would rather eat a cow anyday! I would have gotten what Chelsea got, except keep the mushrooms!!

Those sides were the strangest thing ever! I loved the salmon, but next time I would get the potatoes as my side instead. Chelsea doesn't like mushrooms, either. In fact, no one in my family likes them except me.

LOL...That girl is creative, don't think I would have ever thought to use my silverware as a meal! I will have to keep that one as an idea to use later if I ever need to LOL!!!!!

If she can see herself in it, then it becomes a mirror. If she isn't careful, one day she will find herself saying, "Mirror, mirror, on the wall, whose the fairest of them all?" :lmao:

OOOH...KP missions...can't wait to hear about how Connor and Chelsea save the world!

Actually, it was just Connor saving the world -- Chelsea went shopping with her daddy.

The pretzel bread is my favorite too. John got the filet this summer and I got the New York Strip and substituted the mashed potatoes for the side. It was FABULOUS!

Yes, I loved the mashed potatoes that I was eating off Connor's plate! While he ordered off adult menus on this trip, he never managed to finish all his food. I had to help him from time to time. ;)

We love Le Cellier every time we go there. Their pretzel bread and cheese soup are heaven!

Yes, they are!!! I have the recipe for the soup, but haven't been brave enough to try it at home. I am afraid it just won't measure up to the real thing.

Chelsea is too funny checking her make-up in the silverware. I always use the little mirror on my phone, it comes in handy!

Oh, good idea! Maybe I will get her one for her phone as a stocking stuffer.

Can't wait to hear about KP! I wonder who the cranky one turned out to be?

:rolleyes1

So glad you loved your first experience at Le Cellier, I can't imagine why it took you so long to try it! Chelsea got my favorite meal, except I keep the mushrooms - yum, I'm hungry just thinking about it. Your sides did look rather odd, what exactly was it?

Yes, it did take us a few trips to get around to trying Le Cellier.

I am not sure what the wrapping was, but the insides were stuffed with rice of some sort. I looked at Allears -- it says they are fried brown rice tempura rolls.

How fun that Chelsea got a birthday phone call, love the big smile on her face :goodvibes

It was so cute! Chelsea thought it was very neat to get a phone call from Goofy -- I guess there is still some little girl in her. :goodvibes

very nice update and report of LC...maybe next yr I'll finally dine there...so eh on the salmon then? I'm not a red meat person so I hate to have to order chicken....

The salmon itself was very good -- just the sides were strange. Connor had the chicken, and I tried that, too. It was actually very flavorful.

just love the phone call that is amazing :thumbsup2

Love those unexpected moments of Disney magic!

looking forward to more EPCOT fun...and who got cranky;)

J~

Lots more Epcot fun coming soon! :thumbsup2

I love that pretty little pathway to Le Cellier. It's like you know good things are coming! :goodvibes

What a lovely meal. And too cute with Chelsea getting a phone call from Goofy, that's so sweet.

Yes, we knew we were in for a treat!

The phone call was great! I love that the CMs do those sorts of things -- it really adds to the magic of celebrating a birthday at Disney!

The phone call sounds too great. I want one. I'm so torn about Le Cellier. It will be two credits when we go. Boo!

What about lunch there? I think lunch is still going to be one credit. I will be honest, as much as we loved our meal there, I just don't think it is a two credit experience.

Great update! Le Cellier is one of my fave places for dinner! I can't believe how grown up Chelsea looks! The birthday phone call from Goofy is too cool!

Can't wait for the next update!

Thanks! We were happy to finally be eating at the famed Le Cellier. Chelsea has become so grown-up looking over the past few months. She doesn't have that little girl look anymore. The phone call was so neat!

Your meal really does look like art. Weird. Was the salmon good though? Steak doesn't always agree with me anymore, so maybe with the mashed potatoes the salmon would be good...??

Chelsea cracks me up checking her makeup in silverware. :lmao:

Le Cellier...YUM!!!! And I do love that beautiful little path that leads to the restaurant :thumbsup2

How cute that chelsea got a birthday phone call! Beth and I are now talking about a possible trip for my birthday next year...birthday wishes and Disney in it's christmas digs...does it get any better than that?!?!

Great update~!
That's fun that Chelsea got a birthday phone call! :wizard: & Le Cellier looks tasty, especially the mousse! :goodvibes

All caught up:thumbsup2

Cute Italian waiters..huh. I might have to check that out, since I am half Italian and it would be to connect with my heritage. :rotfl:

I know how Chelsea felt about loosing the camera.:sad2: I left ours at CM and luckily I noticed it was missing before we left the parking lot. DH ran in to see if it was still there and they gave him such a hard time. Of course DH couldn't remember what the camera looked like or the brandname, only that it was black. After scanning through the pictures on a camera they had just found and saw DH on it they turned it over.

The phone call at LeCellier..how cute. How did you arrange for that to happen?

Can't wait to read more.:surfweb:

Awesome update!! Le Cellier is sooo good! The patway is gorgeous... oh, and I think in one of your pictures, there is a hidden mickey cloud in the sky, lol! It is the 5th picture down!

Aww, how cute was that birthday call? She looked so excited!

Okay:

Makeup in the fork = FUnny. :rotfl2:

So Glad that Matt's Dinner recommendation/claim about the Prime Rib was okay by Charles -- I would have hated to ruin his first time at Le Cellier with a bad recommendation! Oh the PRESSURE!!!

I agree WHY is Le Cellier going to 2 credits?? SO glad that we got our fill of that restaurant this past year! I don't think it is worth 2 credits on the DP either -- compared to Jiko or to Cali Grill? No way.

Birthday call was tooo cute, very sweet surprise for sure.

Oh, and the Salmon, hmmmm... not sure what that side was either. Why not just a traditional, fish, side of potatoes and their veggies? That would have been perfect. Keep it simple.

I hope there is a GG Slushie in your future. I feel ominous clouds...

AND I had to laugh about the frozen cappuccinos! Well, they are good, right? ;) Seems like you went back for another if memory reading serves..

Frankly, I would LOVE one of those right now. I am on my treadmill. HENCE I am on the DIS... Soooo, perchance I will whip me up something like that when I am done!!! I got a mix! :thumbsup2

Cant wait to keep reading, and I hope the first few weeks of school have gone alright for you! Did I read you already counting down??!! :rotfl:

I am gearing up for next week -- teachers only. :sad2:
Say it ISN'T SOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! Well, I got my hair cut and colored and new highlights to hide the gray, so I GUESS I can go back to school

Great update! Lol to Chelsea checking her makeup :) I wanted to try Le Celier sooo bad in April but we thought that since we had eaten at Teppan Edo earlier in the day we wouldn't want to have another big meal, but we were wrong :( We were hungry and there was obviously no tables left......grrr.....we ended up eating at germany...pretzels and beer (for mom). I also didn't do the kim possible thing but would like to next trip! Can't wait for the next update!

Ooooh LC :lovestruc Although your salmon does look a bit more interesting than appetizing! I couldn't decide if I wanted the risotto or the mashed potatoes so I got them both ;)
Too funny about Chelsea checking out her reflection in the flatware!! And how sweet that she received a phone call from Goofy! :goodvibes That Miss Anita Wigd....she sure is awesome!!

Tracy

Enjoyed Chelsea's point of view. Felt bad for her, but I'm sure I would have steam coming out of my ears if I were in your shoes!

Your Cheddar Cheese soup looks yummy!

LOVE that Chelsea got a birthday phone call from Goofy! :woohoo: Her smile looked so big!

Le Cellier...definitely one of my favorites...so glad you got to finally try it! The pretzel bread and the soup...yum!!! :goodvibes

Your kids were cracking me up with their silliness before dinner!

Can't wait for your next update!

cool tr.
and cute kids love all the sprinkles on the cake.
will be back to read the rest. I hav to go and make dinner;) (Lasanga from Pizza Hut)
Lisa:goodvibes

Yummmmmy LeCellier! Sounds like your family enjoyed their meal there - though the egg roll things with your salmon do look pretty strange!

I love that Chelsea got a Birthday phone call, that is pure Disney magic. :goodvibes

How many KP missions? And does that have anything to do with the crankiness? :scratchin

Finally all caught up again! :)

Laughing at your anxiety attacks about not sticking to plan and getting sidetracked at Innovations. Even though you know it is better to spend time doing what the family wants to do as opposed to slavishly following an agenda for park touring, I still get visions in my head of the fastpass machines dispensing hundreds of vouchers every 10 minutes, and the fastpass return times creeping up steadily in 5 minutes increments with each passing moment.:rotfl:

However, sounds like 2 really interesting experiences (StormWatch, or whatever it is called, and Sum of All Thrills). We haven't tried either yet, but they are a must-do next trip. My husband is slow to embrace all things Disney, but he is an absolute weather fanatatic. The weather network is on at our house literally all the time. So I think that is something he would really enjoy. Plus, he is a pilot, so I think the flight simulator would also appeal to him. I will definitely keep these in mind for our next trip. As much as we LOVE Soarin and Test Track, it is always fun to try new things!:goodvibes

So glad you finally made it to LeCellier. I agree about your comments about the salmon though. Do you eat red meat??? If so, I highly recommend the filet next time. Did you try a bite of Chelsea's? If so, you still have to order it with the mushroom risotto...that is what makes the dish. And I say this as someone who abhors mushrooms. Seriously!;)

What a great little extra with the phone call from Goofy!!!:goodvibes I have never heard of that! I am sure it was that much nicer because you weren't expecting it!:)

Can't wait to hear more!:goodvibes

What a magical phone call. How fun! Glad you enjoyed the food minus the wierd egg rolly thingers. I  the soup and bread!!
