1 Child and 10 Adults--A GG to Celebrate DD's 4th Bday :) TR Link is Posted

That cake looks and sounds delicious!! :goodvibes I'm sure Lilian will love her cake. Karen had one made for Savannah b-day last year at Disney and it was beautiful- everyone loved it.

What a cute cake!!

I love that song. We actually bought the personalized CD awhile back (where all the songs say Ashlyn in it) and I've planned on playing it at her birthday party.

Great cake! I have no personal experience with Disney custom cakes, but I have browsed the cake thread. They have some great cakes on there. Hopefully you are one of the super satisfied customers!

Love your husband's cake. :thumbsup2

I have ordered a custom cake from Pat before. I ordered one last year and it was really, really good. They do a great job at the GF Bakery.

I've ordered another one for this year too. I'm sure it will be awesome. Pat will help you create any type of cake that you want. I'm sure you will be pleased.

Have you looked at the cake chatter thread? There are a ton of pictures of various cakes on it.

OMG - HOW did I NOT know you had a PTR!!!???? I am so sorry- gah what a bad DIS Friend!!! I know I am late but I am now all caught up!! Just in time for you to go on your trip!!! I am also going on a Grand Gathering and didnt know you were!!! It looks like you are going to have an AMAZING trip!!!! You have put so much work into this trip... your DD is a lucky girl!!!

Great Mickey birthday cake for hubby. And Lillian's birthday cake sounds perfect. I hope you are feeling better today (I was a little sick last night -- ate too much at dinner; or it was the huge slice of chocolate flourless cake I had for dessert ).

love the cake idea and your dh's cake looked so good. Happy bday to him!!!! I hope lillian is feeling better. I saw on your FB post about the ear infection. I think the song on the morning of her bday is an excellent idea and I think if I had a daughter listening to that on her bday while she is smiling ear to ear would have me in tears.:lovestruc I hope it goes just as you planned. That will be a special moment for her!

Got to LOVE Holiday Market!! As you know, I order all of our cakes from there! YUMMY! I hope Allyn had a great bday! Did he like his flip camera?

Love the invitations you made for Lilian! What a special touch! I was going to make an invitation for Emily to BBB. I made one last year for a DIS friends little girl and sent it to her before she went to Disney. She was so excited and I want to do the same for Emily! I would make the restaurant ones too, but we have been known to change ADR's last minute...like and hour before the meal. I might add the CRT dinner on the BBB invitation though, that ADR is a definite!:thumbsup2

What a day! We ended up taking DD to the After Cares Doctor because her ear starting bothering her last night and today was so sensitive she could not lay her head down on that side—if she did, she would cry out. Well, she has a nasty ear infection so she is on a round of antibiotics. I am just glad it has happened now (if it had to happen at all :headache:) because she will be in good shape for Disney and have the antibiotics finished by then (though not by much since she is on it for 10 days).

We tried on all of DD’s clothes we have gotten for the trip. We are all set for her clothes, other than washing them. She loves her tea party dress—she calls it her lady dress. :lovestruc

Onto the countdown….

I have really enjoyed reading other TRs since I first stumbled across DIS a year and half ago. I especially loved reading about the BBB experiences and have known since we started planning this trip (before I even started reading DIS) we would be taking DD to BBB for her birthday.

We went with the Crown package, which includes the hair, nails and makeup. We will let Lilian pick out a dress too as a birthday present. She has seen the new Ariel dress and has her eyes set on it:

I sure hope it is available!! If not, I am not sure who she will end up picking. Hopefully Disney has really tried to make less itchy dresses (the newer ones are suppose to have been made better to counteract this) because some of
them just drive poor Lilian’s skin crazy.

I cannot image a better way to kick offer her birthday at MK. :goodvibes Anyone have any good suggestions/recommendations for BBB? Who has done it in the past? Thoughts?

Of course no visit to BBB would not be complete without me singing Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo in my mind the whole way there and during (I imagine) since I cannot help but hum it whenever I think of it. For your viewing pleasure tonight, here is the video of Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo!

Firts off, so sorry for spelling Lilian's name wrong. My friend's daughter has 2 LLs :) Did I read that you booked ur Sep/Oct trip?? Hurray! Leanne had such great things to say about your meet. Can"t wait to meet you myself!! Those invites are sooo:cutie: And the doll. Avery has an AG but not a Disney one. What will Lilian wear to the tea? I know u read my BBB review. I think it will be such fun. Hope she is feeling better fast!!

I've never been to the tea so I can't help you with that. I love the invitations! It will be so fun to give them to Lilian each morning! I would probably hand deliver the tea invitations. It would be more fun!

Thanks Jenny! I think she will enjoy getting them. :)

LOVE the invitations! I think having something to pop out of bed and see each morning will be so fun. :goodvibes

I'd probably hand deliver the invitations but I think either way would be very lovely.

Thanks Hope! We are going to leave Tinker Bell gifts (a figurine or two from the figurine sets) each morning and I am considering putting the invites with the Tinker Bell gift. What do you think?

Hey Stephanie! I've been trying to keep up with all my subscriptions but have gotten so far behind! I feel horrible! :sad2:

I am constantly behind on the threads I am reading. I keep a list running of them, so I know what page I left on the last time I could read it. :rotfl2: You can say I am a bit OCD if you like...;)

I need to go back & read a few pages of yours, but first wanted to comment on your most recent posts! First of all, I love the invitations! They all look so pretty & will be great for your daughter! She will be so excited when she sees them! I wanted to make them for my son but decided to wait until next trip. This year, he just wouldn't have understood (although now I'm regretting it because he would've recognized his name and also the Disney characters so maybe he would've like to have them).

Thank you! There is always the next trip! There are things I wanted to do for this trip that I am not going to get done most likely since I only have 18 days!

I can't wait to hear about the tea when you get back from your trip. I have never been to one myself but have seen photos on other trip reports. The dining rooms always look so pretty & it looks like so much fun for the little girls (and mommies too!) I was actually thinking about the Disney tea party the other day...I was watching "Reba" on tv and saw Brock take Kiera to a tea party (it was an old episode). I started laughing because EVERYTHING makes me think of Disney!!! :lovestruc

I am really excited about the tea. It will be my first experience at tea unless I take Lilian to the tea house near our home. Of course everything reminds you of Disney!! You are a Disney nut like all of us here on DIS! :upsidedow

I thought it was a good idea to buy your daughter a doll for her birthday. If I had a little girl & changed tea parties, I would've felt the same exact way that you did...I would've been sad not to get the Disney doll! I've seen them before & they are too adorable! I also think its great to let her pick out a few outfits for her doll! She'll love that!

The doll is really cute in person!! I am looking forward to getting it for her. The tea is a thank you gift for the ladies traveling down (and the golf is the guy's present) and I feel this is the better route to go with that in mind. I still wanted DD to have the doll though!

I was also just thinking about your trip isn't very far away now!!! How exciting!!! When I clicked on the link to your report, I went back to the first few pages & read them again, so I wanted to post this about the characters. I'm sure you already have a list made up, but I learned alot about the characters locations from our trip in June. Here are some of the ones you mentioned:
* Handy Manny & Little Einsteins -- Disney Hollywood Studios (to the right of Playhouse Disney Live)
* Toy Story characters -- Disney Hollywood Studios (Animation Studios -- not sure which ones are there)
* Pocahontas -- at Rafiki's Planet Watch @ Animal Kingdom (also Rafiki & Jiminy Cricket were there)
* Alice in Wonderland, Marie the cat, Sleeping Beauty, Jasmine & Aladdin, Snow White, Pooh/Tigger/Eeyore -- Epcot's World Showcase (I can't remeber the countries for all but Marie & Sleeping Beauty were in France, Jasmine/Aladdin were in Morocco, Pooh/Tigger/Eeyore were inside the toy store in UK, not sure of the others)

Thanks Hope!

We also always see Pooh/Tigger/Eeyore right outside one of the countries at Animal Kingdom. I wanted to say its right at the entrance before you go into Asia but I might be mistaken. I think its one of my favorite spots to see them. The background props are really cute & themed for Animal Kingdom (like wooden trunks, fancy painted vases, etc). There are certain times when they are there...we saw them this trip right before their last time (I think around 4:15 but I'm not sure) I will look back through my pictures from our AK day & let you know for sure on this.

I just wanted to write that because I always obsess over getting pictures with the characters! I think I drove DH crazy in June. There was a HUUUUGE line for Chip & Dale at DHS and I said to him..."you know if I were alone on this trip, I would be standing in that crazy long line for Chip & Dale." And he just said "yeah, I know" and kept walking! LOL I just figure that my son won't be little for very long & once boys get a certain age, they won't stand beside the characters or have their pictures taken by mom anymore! Girls don't outgrow it as fast as boys do. Probably in a few years, my DH and DS will be riding the roller coasters & Fast Pass rides while mommy's getting her picture taken with the Disney characters! lol I can see it now! Anyway, just wanted to mention where those characters were. If you have any other specific ones you're looking for, let me know & I'll tell you if we saw them!

Your DS is young enough to be able to go back and appreciate the characters still--especially the Playhouse Disney ones. You never know what DS is going to like. :goodvibes

Ok...back to catch up on your pre-trip report!!! Congrats for being under 20 days now!!!! :goodvibes

Thanks for reading along and trying to catch up! I know it is not an easy task!! :flower3:

Your invitations look so nice! I love the idea of "inviting" her to each event the morning-of; it will really give her something (else!) to look forward to.

Your gals tea reminds me of one of my favorite memories as a child. My mom, sister, and aunt went to tea at the Plaza in NYC. Granted, I was a bit older than your little one, but the experience of doing something so grown-up and girlie was priceless! It was really special getting to be with the most important women in my life. I think you all will love your tea, and it will create fabulous memories!! It also seems like it will be a wonderful respite from all the hustle and bustle of other Disney activity!

Thanks Sarah! I know she is a little young probably to get a lot out of it, but I think she will enjoy it. :goodvibes I pulled our her tea party dress this afternoon and it was the first time she has seen it. She said Mommy is that for me? I said yes. She called it her "lady" dress. :lovestruc

I love the invitations! I know it is something that when Lillian gets older and looks back and figures out that it was you who did all of that for you she will be touched to have such a great mom who wanted her to have the most magical trip ever!

Also, I love that video you posted! Did you watch their other family videos? What an amazing family!!! The kids I babysit for made me watch the video 3 times in a row, but I didn't care. :thumbsup2

Thank you Sara! I hope she does, but it gives me the warm fuzzy memories too!! I think they will be special in our family scrapbook album of our trip for us to look back on many years down the line! :goodvibes

I haven't watched the other videos yet. Was that the first time you had seen it? Lilian loves it too. :thumbsup2
