here's some food for thought...
The last night of our trip, we called and paid the bag fee. the next morning we went to get our boarding passes, and they wouldnt give them to us. so, we had bell services hold our bags while we spent the afternoon in the parks. i called a family member back home (while on tom sawyer island) and had them check me in online. i provided my brother with my credit card info and paid the baggage fees online.
then, i had to call BAGS and get a refund. bags asked why i needed the refund, so i told them what had happened. they put me on hold to find out what went wrong. it turns out, my flight number was entered wrong, which is why my boarding passes werent ready for me. they fixed the issue, but it was already too late to arragne my luggage to go to the airport ahead of me. i had already paid delta the baggage fees when my family member checked me in online...sooo after an afternoon at the park, we went back to the hotel, reclaimed our luggage from bell services - brought them on ME and checked them at the airport.
it wasnt a terrible experience, but just make sure your flight info matches up!
